Pros Vidyard works with a minimum of muss and fuss for screen sharing. There are lots of players in this space but I still like Vidyard best for basic screen capture. Its easy for customers to use and easy for me to create and send videos Cons the paid plans were a little out of whack with some of their competitors. Free, of course, is fine for basic use but they seem to be looking for enterprise users not mall business. Pros I like the different options of screenshare and personalization for creating videos. For example, you can record through just screenshare, screenshare while visually capturing you in it speaking along, or you can just record yourself. Cons It seems like I often ran into difficulties with sharing and giving others access to the videos. The interface is simple and straightforward, and it works really well for managing a video library and sharing videos. I mostly use Vidyard for storing videos, and later sharing and hosting them in our learning content. Pros The ability to easily manage libraries of videos, and then go on to share them, is what stands out for me. It is very easy to find videos from your library, and you can then download, edit, or share in a way that suits you. There are tracking and reporting options available too, however I have not used this feature. Cons One downside is that while Vidyard is simple and easy to use, its basic interface may feel a bit too minimalistic for users who are looking for more advanced customization features. Cons Some may feel it's a bit slightly confusing to get started and going in the beginning, also internally to adjust your processes to incorporate it but once you have it going and part of the routine it's good. When customers send me questions regarding our website, I can swiftly respond by sending them a customized Vidyard video showcasing the solution, without the need to schedule a meeting.The analytics feature provides valuable insights, allowing me to track whether the customer has watched the video. Based on the percentage of the video they watched, I can assess whether a follow-up call is necessary. Cons Thus far, I haven't identified any drawbacks with Vidyard. It is user-friendly, efficient, and facilitates the delivery of high-quality videos to clients. I have made a conscious effort to think of areas for improvement, but I am currently unable to pinpoint any. Much of my work was improving both sales and service processes so incorporating personalized video for prospective and current customers was incredibly easy and low touch and easy for sales and CX teams to work with. Pros Great variety of use for the product. I've used it for sales enablement, internal communications to explain CRM use/processes and to communicate with current customers/clients. Many platforms have very specific uses but Vidyard is a very versatile tool and makes internal and external communication very easy. Cons I did not upgrade to the paid feature so I always used more minimal features with Vidyard branding but I still wouldn't say there was much I disliked, it's just slightly more limited in function. I enjoy the fact that I can do a quick video explaining to my client what I've come up with for them. Rather than trying to write it in text where it could get misunderstood. It's super easy to use and super easy to attach to emails Pros Vidayrd is a great tool to quickly make small video clips to attach to emails and the likes. It allows you to video yourself, or video your screen of your are doing a demonstration. There is also the option of having yourself on the screen whilst you do the demo. The integration with hubspot is great and makes it so easy to attach videos to emails. I like how it attaches with a thumbnail too. Cons There is not much I don't like about this. The videos are hosted on their site and if you delete from your library the video is no longer available to view. I'm just using the free version so not sure if you can sort your library of videos in the paid version. Review Source MP Matt P. It's better than shooting with a camera and uploading video to YouTube or Vimeo, but extremely, and unnecessarily limited in what you can do to add production value to created videos. Pros Vidyard allows us to quickly and easily make a very simple video and upload it to embed in a blog or web page. The ability to add "hot" banners and CTAs directly to the video is great, as is the fact that it works with Hubspot, and we don't have to rely on YouTube for every video posting. Cons After reading the impersonal FAQ page stating that the software does not allow switching between camera and screen during recording, I used three third party programs to accomplish this feat myself, with no help from Vidyard. If I could do this with relative ease, and I'm not a programmer, then Vidyard is simply being lazy about programming. Presumably someone at the company is being paid to improve the software? Also love the amount of insight and analytics we have access to when looking at video performance. Cons Tons of great features with Vidyard but it can sometimes get a little overwhelming. Pros Vidyard is such a simple tool to use. You can simply create in front of your pc and attach it to an email for your customer or prospect to open. It's a better way than you emails getting deleted when prospecting and has a great feedback tool to tell you when your prospect opens you Vidyard video and how much they watch or how many times they watch. Sales people get great feedback from their customers because it's new and different. You can even do a voice/video email with a powerpoint and send in an email. Cons I have no complaints at all. The software performs exactly the way they described. The software does not work by itself so you have to have your sales people use it as a tool. Review Source AA Armin A. Simple emails get ignored and deprioritized, but Vidyard videos almost always receive a positive response, or at least a response, which is what I'm looking for. It also has a fair amount of marketing-friendly features, such as adding CTAs and whatnot. Cons The price is definitely not worth the features it delivers, in my opinion. What can you do in Vidyard that you can't do with some design skills and YouTube or Wistia? I'm not a fan. Pros I like the fact that you can talk and interact with a crowd group or send a pre-recorded training or message to a group of people.
