It has helped us connect with customers in an industry where it can be challenging to allocate time to training and software setup. Pros I would recommend vidyard to anyone. We use it for creating training videos for our support team as well as quick customer screen captures for client training. Love the chrome extension, once set up, super easy. Cons Not a lot. I highly recommend it. Pros We're in the SaaS world and the people that we target are people don't always want to get on the phone unless they have to. The customer service is really great too. Cons It didn’t deliver much value. We really didn’t close more deals because of it. Loom is free so that’s what we kept. Pros I love the ease of sharing my screen and easily capturing what I am demonstrating in my product. I also like the search feature and being able to embed videos. The chrome extension make it easy to record and send videos right from your browser. We use it for client outreach to make personal introduction videos, which always get a better response than normal test emails. The best part is you get a much more generous recording time than Loom on the free plan, but upgrading to paid open up all the analytics you need to see how many people have viewed your videos which is super helpful for sales teams. Cons Some of the high end paid plans are a little expensive, but the benefits are there to see. It adds another element to my emails that makes it interactive and personal, which my customers enjoy. Pros I love the fact that it is a new interactive way to communicate with customers. Adding a personal message to customers with an insightful video is awesome. Cons It took me a little bit of time to get comfortable with the features and functions. Once I became comfortable with the software it became very useful. Cons Buttons and labeling in the user interface not always make sense. Folder structures also take time to get used to. It's incredibly easy to use and it has been totally hassle-free. Cons I have no negative issues to report with Vidyard. Cons It seems like Vidyard was not a fully fleshed out tool (circa 2019). The tool would not allow me to make edits or revisions to an existing recording - rather it would only allow me to record one video and then have to delete it and re-record a new one. I spent an entire Sunday making customized videos for about 25 prospects and even after all of that effort had no return on that investment as no prospects responded. Review Source Chad W. Cons I wish to get the really key features you didn't have to spend $300 a month. Even if they could add more products to their lower costing plan. Pros Chrome plug-in makes it so there are just a few clicks to create a video, and it doesn't take you far out of your normal Chrome/Gmail routine. Free version is as good of a value as you'll get. February 10, 2021 4.0 Overall Vidyard is an easy-to-use tool that drastically helps our sales team to stand out from the crowd. Pros I like how easy it is to record your screen and make videos. It makes it so easy to explain complex things. I can either explain it in a video, or share my screen and show them. All they have to do is click a link! Cons Sometimes when I include a Vidyard link in my email it ends up in the spam folder of the recipient. I haven't yet found a fix for this.
