Pros The app connects to Workday, therefore I and my team will not have to create separate user names and password. Simply clicking on the reward icon at the bottom of your screen allows you to award points. We use hashtags for company values so that people will remember. Pros Workhuman did send those points via slack without totally crashing, and I was surprised because all of our internal technology crashes every time we try to do something. All levels of workers (including the new junior starters) and managers both use Workhuman to give gift cards. In less than an hour, we were able to link everyone into our HRIS system. People are using GIFs in the feed; it kind of feels like some sort of bizarre social network for work. Cons When I took a week long break from work last month, I had no choice but to lose what I wanted to give to my team. Support is strictly email based and takes six days to respond back on urgent bug fixes. Taxes applied to rewards are terrible too. I am assuming that Human Resources doesn’t have to do paper calculations anymore. My manager is able to approve items throughout the year versus waiting until we get to our year-end reviews. Pros It’s hard to believe, but the people who work in the Support Team (also known as Help Desk), actually appear to be real people who can experience emotions and have feelings, instead of being just some type of computer program. I had no expectations what-so-ever when placing my ticket into the system. I expected them to immediately close my ticket once they read it, and then I’d never even hear back about anything. Cons There are a lot of points you can earn, which allow you to select different types of merchandise or Amazon gift cards, from within Workhuman’s claim portal. To tell the truth, I’m still unsure whether I successfully submitted an order or not because most corporate portals freeze up. The mobile catalog is slow too, and will only load each single page in roughly 10 seconds. Using the WorkHuman app allows me to see who else is receiving recognition within my department so I am no longer left wondering why I am receiving recognition. WorkHuman is helpful in allowing me to be more proactive with my co-workers as I can now easily recognize them from my phone. WorkHuman has saved me actual dollars as I have used my points to purchase items such as a watch instead of spending my own money. Pros I was pleasantly surprised that I did receive the Sony noise cancelling headphones for the points I redeemed and I did not pay a single penny in shipping. I thought the onboarding process was going to be much worse than what it turned out to be. I also was happy to find out that I didn't have to contact IT one time. The app does work while I am walking down to the break room and want to quickly send a message. Cons The tracking for electronic gift cards has no tracking at all. This means I will have manually go through my spam and try to locate the gift card. I've seen some instances where the delivery date for the electronic gift cards are way over the estimated delivery date given to me by WorkHuman and it is frustrating.
