However, once I got past that initial adjustment period, it turned into a genuinely easy and user-friendly tool to work with day-to-day. I'd recommend giving yourself some time to settle in, because it pays off. Pros Once you spend some time getting familiar with Zoho Recruit, it really becomes an easy and pleasant tool to use on a daily basis. The interface is clean, well-organized, and doesn't feel cluttered even when you're managing multiple candidates, job openings, and pipelines at once. Navigation feels intuitive after the initial learning period, and most of the day-to-day tasks — like moving candidates through stages, scheduling interviews, and updating records — become quick and straightforward. It's user-friendly in a way that makes repetitive recruiting tasks feel less tedious. Overall, the platform is thoughtfully designed, and once the initial setup phase is behind you, it genuinely simplifies the recruiting workflow rather than complicating it, which is exactly what you want from an ATS. Cons The biggest downside is the learning curve when you're just getting started. It isn't immediately obvious where certain features are located or how different modules connect to one another, so new users may need to invest real time exploring the system before they feel confident using it independently. On top of that, I've noticed that loading information — whether it's candidate profiles, search results, or reports — can be noticeably slow at times. This becomes especially frustrating when you're trying to move quickly through a high volume of applicants or need information pulled up in real time during a call or interview. These performance and onboarding hurdles take some getting used to, but they are worth pushing through once you're comfortable navigating the platform. Cons The inbuilt AI-assistant could be more useful. It often makes mistakes when parsing complex CVs and that's definitely something to consider.
