My experience has been a mix of productivity and technical discovery. It is an incredibly powerful engine for recruitment, especially for mid-to-large-sized teams that need robust data tracking. While it excels at handling large volumes of data and complex automated workflows, it demands a significant time investment to configure properly. For a developer or a designer looking to build custom career experiences, the APIs are solid, though the documentation and default component styling could benefit from a more modern design language.

Pros

The standout feature is the versatility and depth of customization. As someone with a background in UX/UI design, I appreciate how granular you can get with the candidate pipelines and status workflows. The integration capabilities are also a massive plus—being able to connect the platform to external sites via API or custom code snippets (like in React/Next.js projects) makes it much more than just a standard ATS; it acts as a functional backend for talent management.

Cons

The learning curve is relatively steep, specifically regarding the UI/UX design of the backend interface. While functional, the dashboard can feel cluttered, and finding specific customization settings often requires navigating through too many sub-menus. So far so good, highly recommended for companies looking for ATS. The onboarding was easy. I was able to use it immediately.

Pros

I like that they offer Free Tier. Their monthly pricing is also competitive, not bad compared to the other options.

Cons

I wish there would be more payment options for upgrade. That would make it easier for users to upgrade.

As a brand-new recruitment and labour hire agency, finding the right ATS without overcommitting financially in our first year was a priority. Zoho Recruit's Staffing Agency edition hit the right balance of affordability and the specific features agencies need, particularly around job volume limits that some competitors gate more aggressively at this price point. The native Xero integration was the standout factor in our decision, since we're building our accounting stack from scratch and didn't want to rely on third-party workarounds just to keep our systems talking to each other. Onboarding was manageable, and the core candidate and job pipeline workflows were easy enough to pick up quickly. It's not without its rough edges — the interface takes some getting used to, and unlocking the more advanced automation features requires a real time investment to configure properly rather than working out of the box. But for a lean, cost-conscious startup agency prioritizing core functionality and ecosystem fit over bells and whistles, it's a solid foundation to build on.

Pros

Staffing Agency edition offers meaningfully higher job volume limits than the Corporate HR edition at the same price point — an important detail for agencies to check before choosing Native Xero integration was a big draw for us as a new company setting up our accounting stack — no need for a third-party sync workaround Core workflows (candidate pipelines, job postings) were intuitive to pick up early on, especially having used other recruitment CRMs before Genuinely useful free tier to test the waters before committing Affordable entry pricing for a new, budget-conscious agency compared to most agency-specific alternatives

Cons

Advanced automation (Blueprint) takes real setup time to configure properly — not a plug-and-play experience Interface can feel dense with information on one screen, took a bit of adjusting to Some features (AI job description generation, deeper resume parsing) are gated behind higher-tier plans, so the entry price doesn't get you everything

I love it. It navigates well and I can organize my vacancies well. I can send out mails to candidates to keep them updated on the process.

Pros

It has everything on one platform. Very user friendly. It helps me to keep track of where I am in the process.

Cons

I would love if there was a drag and drop option when you upload CV's. It would make it faster that way.

The portal is very well structured and the candidate interview process workflow is very flawless once we are used to it.

Pros

It has all the features that we look to have as an online recruitment agency. Any issues have been tackled by their customer support team well within our SLA.

Cons

There is a slight learning curve but once you are used to it and we had an initial issues to integrate it with our main public website.
