Pros Very easy to set up, easy to use by members, and looks great. Options to integrate with business webpage or to use the app. Also options for churches to have their own app at a low setup and monthly maintenance cost. Cons The name is a bit difficult for some to remember when searching online or in the app store. If you use your own church app or webpage, this won't be an issue. March 28, 2015 5.0 Pros The software within this web-based, in-the-cloud system is amazing! It does everything you'll need to run your church efficiently, and it's very easy to use. Cons I love everything, but if I have to pick the least favorite thing, I'd change the looks of the website we work from. It's very nice, but there are a few things I'd do different (more colorful, square boxes for the photos of the congregation vs. round ones, and a cleaner looking layout). But, here's some good news. Pros Tithe.ly is incredibly easy to use. We love the online tithing, which was so helpful while our church was shut down during COVID. It has an app that is easy to manage and it is intuitive. The locate church function is a quick time saver for fast donations. I looked at this product as a possible alternative to the tithing software we are currently using. The fee schedule looked better than our current one as well. It was a step up from our previous package. There was a bit of a learning curve as you would expect for learning any new system. We have been pretty pleased with the support we have received. One of the main reasons we went to Elvanto was the ability to export data and manipulate it for various purposes. While no package is perfect, overall we feel that Elvanto covers most bases and is good value for money. Pros Data can be easily manipulated. Value for money. Cons Some of the report layouts aren't as intuitive as we would like. I think there are some ways it can be improved, but I would recommend it! Pros Our church staff has been using Tithe.ly Church Management for about a year and it's been a great tool to have for our purposes. It helps us to keep track of forms, statistics and contact information. Before using Tithe.ly, we had all of those things and many other components of church management in separate, individual documents or spreadsheets, which meant pulling up different files for different purposes. This software allows you to have all of that in one place! Cons The user interface can be a little confusing at times and therefore, it isn't quite as intuitive as I'd like for it to be. September 27, 2015 5.0 After months of extensive research on ChMS solutions, I frankly couldn't find any one that I could wholeheartedly adopt and endorse. The current options were one or more of the following: 1) not easy to learn and use; 2) have an outdated and/or klunky interface; 3) more social network than ChMS; 4) are easy to learn but lack key features/functions; 5) are feature-rich but are too expensive. However, a few weeks ago, I read about Elvanto for the first time, and I started a free trial. Elvanto was the solution that I was imagining, except better! This is the only software I know that combines 1) a super-intuitive interface, 2) all essential features and many advanced features, and 3) affordability. I especially love what they've done with groups. As someone who previous managed 45 community groups, 100+ leaders, and 700+ members, Elvanto would have been a godsend as a single tool that allows me to set up group rosters, contact entire groups, have leaders report attendance and comments. Track giving and track the flow of newcomers. Cons It's expensive, third party applications don't work as advertised. It's not easy to use and at times foolish. Because it's in the cloud, and it covers all areas of church life, we've been able to use it to empower our existing and upcoming leaders to make disciples, lead teams, and effectively minister for themselves. It's had a massive impact on understanding our position with salvations, attendance & group health. It's also helped us create clear pathways for New People, New Christians, and New Volunteers. All of this has helped us stay on track and maintain focus as we continue to grow. Pros It's all in one. It's in the cloud. It brings simplicity and clarity to complex things. December 19, 2018 5.0 We use it at our church for pretty much everything - ministry sign-ups and reminders, scheduling, financial records, attender's data... etc. Pros Where do I begin? The features of this product are very helpful. I like that I can customize my schedule so I can make sure to fulfill my children's ministry opportunities. I like how easy it is for new attenders and church members alike to use the sign in/sign out system. I know that there are many other integrated features that provide for everything organizational that our church needs. Cons I can't think of any cons! It works well and was easy to learn. October 20, 2016 5.0 Elvanto has enabled us to better care for people and be able to track and report on things that we would never have thought about. The Check In feature for Kids Church is incredible, Rosters are extremely customizable and versatile for additional events or services outside of the norm. Giving access to volunteers is great as you can restrict as much as you need to which makes it easy for them. Being able to integrate with other sites for email campaigns or SMS is also a big advantage. Elvanto's service is EXCEPTIONAL and they are always willing to assist and go beyond expectations. Many were either expensive, difficult to use, only relevant to U.S. churches, lacking key functionality or bloated with unnecessary functionality. I signed up for the trial with Elvanto, and haven't looked back. The pricing is perfectly reasonably (especially given the extensive list of features all included for the one price), it's easy to use, easy to customise and the customer service is second to none. October 20, 2016 5.0 I am an Associate Pastor and have implemented Elvanto at my current and previous churches. Compared to the hodgepodge of systems we were using previously, Elvanto is light years ahead. It has stacks of features, and they are always adding new ones. It is highly customisable and can be set up to record and manage a whole array of data. The main challenge is always to get the other staff and volunteers using it the way you want to. But, once they grasp the system, it becomes a huge boost to the organisation of ministry. It is very reasonably priced, given that you are only charged on active adults within the church (not children or youth, and not community contacts). Review Source AL Alyssa L. June 30, 2017 4.0 Pros I assist with several administrative functions for our church, and Elvanto is generally useful and has most of the features it should. I like being able to mass manage within flows and have emails automated. Searching for people is easy, which is great, too. Cons Missing key features here and there. For example, rostering can be frustrating. It's hard to assign people to see just the service locations/times they should, and then it's difficult to schedule in advance unless you're doing it on a separate calendar first. There should definitely be a visualization tool to see just an individual team over the course of a whole month, for example. Review Source BS Bryan S. It's easy for the average person to be able to use it to accept volunteer roster and be able to use the calendar/events easily. For leadership it is great to quickly go to someone's profile and see activity and overview about them. We love Elvanto and tell everyone about them! Fellowship One has great reports, but you need a degree in computer programing to be able to pull one. Elvanto reports are easy to generate and can be sent to team members quickly. Event registration and forms are two of our most used features. Love that is mobile and Mac friendly! Review Source JD JR D. Used the software for: ### "Really great program" October 21, 2016 4.0 We've been using elvanto for a year or two now and it really is a brilliant program. We haven't even started using some of the features yet. Which perhaps is why I've given ease of use a lower score - it's not exactly the most intuitive program around. Having said that though, there are lots of tech non-natives using it at our church now and given a bit of time, they've become comfortable with it. The more we do that, the more it's going to be even better in serving the needs of our congregation. On top of that, the support service is first class. The system is very comprehensive however does need someone who is a systems person and computer savvy to navigate it. Once you have this then the system is fantastic for any church. We still struggle a little having people to help when necessary from a technical point of view. Recommendations :- I would love to see a face to face training platform for groups to attend or someone available to visit churches and help set up based on their needs....of course this would be at a cost. July 7, 2020 3.0 We no longer promote this as a main method to tithe remotely, but still have it as an option for those that choose. Pros It integrated well with our website, was relatively easy to set up and deploy and has been easy enough for some of our congregants. Cons Fees. Fees. Fees. When giving to the church should be from the heart, yet planned out within your budget, it stinks that you pay 2.9% + $.30 per transaction?! So either the church gets duped or the giver.
