President and CEO Non-Profit Organization Management Used the software for: 2+ years ### "A System That Is The Best CRM for Ministries, Churches, and Fellowships" March 15, 2026 5.0 My overall experience with ChurchTrac is that I am so grateful that I was able to discover ChurchTrac I believe ten years ago. They have made so many positive updates and improvements to the system. ChurchTrac is our ministry's HUB for everything now and I highly recommend it to all ministries and fellowships. Pros The price you pay for what ChurchTrac provides is the greatest. The give you more than you what you ask for and the customer support is the top. Over the years I have been able to switch from using several programs to now only one. The Ease of Use is great. It is not complicated to learn. The Reports have helped in preparing tax returns to seeing where the ministry is going. Even when it comes to Member Management, this has been an asset. Cons The inability to have more than one way members can donate. It would be great if we could have in addition to Stripe that ChurchTrac uses, to add CashApp, PayPal and Venmo links for contributions. They have provided more tools and support than we ever expected. Pros Writing a 5-star review for ChurchTrac is easy. They do so many things well. What caught our attention initially was that is was developed for churches specifically. Our church started to look for just a replacement for our accounting software. The price for a ChurchTrac subscription that included the accounting software that we needed was less than most other accounting software on the market, but it offered more than just accounting software, it included a robust Church Management Software. The other main feature that attracted us to ChurchTrac is that it offers an amazing support network that includes the usual phone support but also webinars, YouTube Videos, online tutorials, and a complete online user guide. After viewing a few of their presentations, it became apparent that they do more than just software support. Much more. They provide ministry support to such an extent that you think that you have hired a consulting firm to help run your ministry smoothly, effectively, and efficiently, and then they throw in a healthy dose of encouragement besides. Cons We have been transitioning to ChurchTrac for about a month now and have not had any negative experiences so far. There is a bit of a learning curve to overcome but not sure what else they could do to expedite the process. As the pastor of a smaller church with many responsibilities, I appreciate a product that is easy to learn and use and doesn't cost a fortune. I'd strongly recommend this company and their products to any church looking for a way to keep track of people and projects, communicate with your congregation, and manage a functional and fresh web presence. Pros ChurchTrac provides an unmatched value for the cost of this product. In this segment there are many competitors, but you must pay double or triple what ChurchTrac charges for the same features. Additionally, ChurchTrac has the best support team I've ever worked with. In addition to numerous online help topics and a growing library of videos, support tickets are responded to almost immediately. I've been using this software for more than 5 years, and over time they have continued to update and improve the product. I keep getting a better solution and the price remains consistent. Cons The setup with twilio integration was challenging and ultimately I wish I hadn't gone that route. There are still improvements to be made in this regard, and with the email campaign manager in general. It has simplified nearly every aspect of our operations while saving us about $600 per year in software costs. The transition was surprisingly smooth, and now we have a unified platform that not only manages our church more efficiently but also helps us better connect with and serve our congregation. Pros ChurchTrac strikes a rare balance—it’s simple to use, yet incredibly powerful. It’s well-designed, full-featured, backed by outstanding support, and remarkably affordable. We originally chose it just to manage our membership roll, not realizing how much more it could do. Because of the low cost, we figured we’d try it for a year. Within just two weeks, we had fully transitioned our membership, accounting (from QuickBooks Online), giving, online donations, and even launched the Church Connect app. The support has been exceptional. I’ve submitted a lot of questions, and every response has been quick and genuinely helpful. The extensive YouTube library is another huge plus—not just for learning how to use the system, but for discovering new ways to leverage it in ministry. Cons Honestly, my biggest frustration is that we didn’t find ChurchTrac sooner. For years, we relied on QuickBooks, spreadsheets for membership, and a website that was difficult to maintain. Looking back, we missed opportunities and added unnecessary complexity. If I had to note a functional drawback, QuickBooks Online does offer more robust and customizable reporting. That said, ChurchTrac’s reporting is still very solid for most church needs, and the tradeoffs in simplicity, integration, and cost more than make up for it. Great tool for small churches who are require to keep the same records as large churches, and so easy to use for recording member attendance at all functions. It helped organize and store our church members’ information and email birthday reminders to church staff. Pros It is very easy to organize people’s information with ChurchTrac. There are powerful reports you can run and schedule automations. They also have excellent customer service! Cons The system feels a little outdated and there’s no option for an app, just a web browser that’s optimized to be mobile friendly. Inputting information also was time consuming. Cons In the accounting side when you click on a drop down menu the boxes that open up are the same size and color scheme as the boxes in the window. If the drop down menu boxes where offset, and or a contrasting color it would help me find them. Pros I like the easy and flawless operation of Church Trac. You need no previous knowledge it is very user friendly and they are always ready and willing to assist if you have problems. Cons Not sure if this is a con but I would have preferred if the expenses not be listed as minuses but rather just appear in the statement as expenses since it is understood they are already expenses. The customer service is fantastic, the ease of user use is so nice for someone that doesn't really have any coding experience - it's all very simple to use. And as upgrades come out they always make the system better. Pros The ease in which I can do all the things my church needed. From people managements to accounting, worship scheduling, online giving, a church website, and attendence check-in. It's all included for a very low cost to the church. And the fact it is so user friendly in all modules! Cons While there may be a few small items missing or I don't like, the developers are always doing upgrades to make the entire program better and if you submit ideas they really do take the time to look at that and see if that is possible. CT always available to develop new ways to use the application. Website formatting easy to use. Pros I have used CT for many years now. I find the cost very reasonable, the support is very good - even when one asks a stupid question. I am the primary user and find it very easy to manage our membership, and our pledge giving. Reporting is easy to use and I, on many occasions, have been able to pull up information quickly when needed. We have never had any issues with online giving. I feel totally secure in having this information in the CT system. Unfortunately, we do not use the accounting platform. Cons This issue is specifically on our end and not CT. I cannot get more people interested in using the online application for any aspect of CT. With an aging population, technology is not what they want. I need to find ways to show them how beneficial the information from CT can be for them. Always a goal. Almost anyone with a business back ground will understand the software. Initial set up is relatively intuitive. Cons It would be nice if the reports format could be changed slightly. That being said, you can always export most of the reports and go wild and crazy to your hearts content in excel. That's personally what I do... but I'm also a bit of a nerd when it comes to data. Bookkeeper and assistant Religious Institutions Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Very Happy Churchtrac User" February 19, 2025 5.0 We researched the product, and were very impressed with their video content on YouTube describing in bite-sized pieces how different aspects of the program work. We tried the 30 day trial and were very happy with how well supported the programs are with easy-to-find help videos and articles, as well as how responsive their support team is for more convoluted questions. After purchasing one of the packages, their team has continued to reach out to us with tips, suggestions, and even a free zoom call to make sure we are getting started on the right foot. So far it has been a stellar experience!! Pros I love the way the way Churchtrac is set up for church use, everything from how families are grouped together for easy maintenance, to the way the accounting structure is set up, and how easy it is to get giving contributions and other reports run and distributed. We have just started to use the system and can't wait to try the other goodies that we know are available! Cons Some of the entry screens are a bit clunky, and the fly-out menus on the left keep flying into the way of what I'm doing. But those are small things compared to how good the program is. Pros I have used ChurchTrac in the past to track the members and work of a church I assisted, it was helpful for those of us consulting and the leaders involved. The user access, security, communication, and bank transactions features along with the ability to run reports that help make data easy to read add up to an application that is a great value for money and useful for both users and administrators Cons some have told me they had issues withthe sotware, I however love the application and could not find any issues that were dealbreakers for me. My Pastor uses other parts of the program. As we grow I'm sure it will be even more useful. " October 10, 2024 5.0 ChurchTrac and the Support Team have been near life saving for me and my church. They were there for me in an amazing way when our finances where almost over taken by disgruntled members in our church. Pros How easy it is to record deposits, have records of tithe & donations for individuals, inputting payouts of checks and debit cards. Help screen is wonderful for self-help. Can's say enough about ChruchTrac Support Team! They are amazing and prompt getting back with solutions if I have problems. Cons Reports are wonderful but the Balance Sheet along with Funds is very difficult to understand.
