Pros Best Value for full ChMS. Only ChMS that includes basic accounting without using 3rd party software. Their Tech Support and Webinars really help. Cons Reporting engine is very basic. There are times when a double-entry accounting could be useful. Very basic website tools. They have always been efficient and clean in the interface. They have always worked to improve the tools built into the system in a way that is suited for churches of all sizes. What they do (and they do a lot), they do amazing, and their cost is a fraction of what many others charge. Pros Churchtrac has the best amount of resources and tools built into one product. It's pricing is far better than many of the more popular systems while still providing a better product. The interface is easier to work with and easier to teach to others than most of the systems out there. The customer service is quick, personal, and helpful. They are constantly improving and adding to the list of resources. Cons Their system sending out emails is quickly improving, but they do not yet have detailed reports read, interaction, etc. Their website hosting and admin is new and quickly improving. However, they do not yet have detailed traffic reports, etc. Alternatives considered [Tithely Church Management](https://www.capterra.com/p/132513/Breeze-ChMS/) Reason for choosing ChurchTrac The Tithely Interface was rough and would not be as easy to implement or teach. The available tools were about the same. The price was close. But Tithely was multiple products built separately into one and felt like separate products. Churchtrac was all built into Churchtrac and far better to navigate and far easier to teach to those also going through the change in systems. The biggest difference between ChurchTrac and Tithely (besides our affordable price), is that Tithely started out as a giving platform and then started acquiring other platforms to add to their portfolio. Their approach is great for growth... but it does prove challenging in making a unified church platform like ChurchTrac. We're glad you found us. I am still navigating some of the features that we have not implemented yet, but I am excited to get those features working. Pros Church Trac is user friendly, and the support and user guides are very helpful. When a ticket is entered, you receive an email and follow-up communication after all questions and concerns have been answered for the situation. The value of this product outweighs the cost. I receive updates through email and announcements for training on a consistent basis. The reconciling of our bank account is seamless and easy to navigate. I had a call about starting fresh as on January 1st, the gentleman I spoke with was very patient with helping to understand all the aspects of the accounting screens. I was confused but after the call he sent me several links to lead me through other tasks. Cons I work full time, so I miss a lot of the training that is held during the day and have a limited amount of time other than school breaks to have phone communications. They have made so many positive updates and improvements to the system. ChurchTrac is our ministry's HUB for everything now and I highly recommend it to all ministries and fellowships. Pros The price you pay for what ChurchTrac provides is the greatest. The give you more than you what you ask for and the customer support is the top. Over the years I have been able to switch from using several programs to now only one. The Ease of Use is great. It is not complicated to learn. The Reports have helped in preparing tax returns to seeing where the ministry is going. Even when it comes to Member Management, this has been an asset. Cons The inability to have more than one way members can donate. It would be great if we could have in addition to Stripe that ChurchTrac uses, to add CashApp, PayPal and Venmo links for contributions. It has simplified nearly every aspect of our operations while saving us about $600 per year in software costs. The transition was surprisingly smooth, and now we have a unified platform that not only manages our church more efficiently but also helps us better connect with and serve our congregation. Pros ChurchTrac strikes a rare balance—it’s simple to use, yet incredibly powerful. It’s well-designed, full-featured, backed by outstanding support, and remarkably affordable. We originally chose it just to manage our membership roll, not realizing how much more it could do. Because of the low cost, we figured we’d try it for a year. Within just two weeks, we had fully transitioned our membership, accounting (from QuickBooks Online), giving, online donations, and even launched the Church Connect app. The support has been exceptional. I’ve submitted a lot of questions, and every response has been quick and genuinely helpful. The extensive YouTube library is another huge plus—not just for learning how to use the system, but for discovering new ways to leverage it in ministry. Cons Honestly, my biggest frustration is that we didn’t find ChurchTrac sooner. For years, we relied on QuickBooks, spreadsheets for membership, and a website that was difficult to maintain. Looking back, we missed opportunities and added unnecessary complexity. If I had to note a functional drawback, QuickBooks Online does offer more robust and customizable reporting. That said, ChurchTrac’s reporting is still very solid for most church needs, and the tradeoffs in simplicity, integration, and cost more than make up for it. They have provided more tools and support than we ever expected. Pros Writing a 5-star review for ChurchTrac is easy. They do so many things well. What caught our attention initially was that is was developed for churches specifically. Our church started to look for just a replacement for our accounting software. The price for a ChurchTrac subscription that included the accounting software that we needed was less than most other accounting software on the market, but it offered more than just accounting software, it included a robust Church Management Software. The other main feature that attracted us to ChurchTrac is that it offers an amazing support network that includes the usual phone support but also webinars, YouTube Videos, online tutorials, and a complete online user guide. After viewing a few of their presentations, it became apparent that they do more than just software support. Much more. They provide ministry support to such an extent that you think that you have hired a consulting firm to help run your ministry smoothly, effectively, and efficiently, and then they throw in a healthy dose of encouragement besides. Cons We have been transitioning to ChurchTrac for about a month now and have not had any negative experiences so far. There is a bit of a learning curve to overcome but not sure what else they could do to expedite the process. As the pastor of a smaller church with many responsibilities, I appreciate a product that is easy to learn and use and doesn't cost a fortune. I'd strongly recommend this company and their products to any church looking for a way to keep track of people and projects, communicate with your congregation, and manage a functional and fresh web presence. Pros ChurchTrac provides an unmatched value for the cost of this product. In this segment there are many competitors, but you must pay double or triple what ChurchTrac charges for the same features. Additionally, ChurchTrac has the best support team I've ever worked with. In addition to numerous online help topics and a growing library of videos, support tickets are responded to almost immediately. I've been using this software for more than 5 years, and over time they have continued to update and improve the product. I keep getting a better solution and the price remains consistent. Cons The setup with twilio integration was challenging and ultimately I wish I hadn't gone that route. There are still improvements to be made in this regard, and with the email campaign manager in general. We especially appreciate the accounting feature that allows us to print reports. Pros ChurchTrac is easy to navigate, with a clear menu system that makes updates simple and efficient. Its monthly pricing is reasonable and affordable for churches of many sizes. The platform also provides helpful training videos and responsive customer support, making it easy to get quick answers and resolve issues. " January 14, 2026 5.0 Our overall experience with ChurchTrac has been exceptional! It is rare to subscribe to accounting software and find that it is so well constructed that you can jump right in personalizing settings and entering information without a lengthy tutorial process. It is truly self explanatory. The focus given to the special needs of churches is perfect. Pros From day one, ChurchTrac has been very easy to use. It is specifically geared to the needs of churches. It is priced according to church size which is great for small churches like ours. Online payments are automatically linked to ChurchTrac as is our use of Ministry Safe. In the rare occasion where help is needed, customer support is swift to reply. Additional help topics are also available on YouTube. Updates occur which are actually useful and always improve the ease of use. Reports make preparing financial reports and end of year giving statements easy, as well. ChurchTrac offers more features than our small church uses at this time, but as we grow we know we will utilize more of these features. Cons In the accounting side when you click on a drop down menu the boxes that open up are the same size and color scheme as the boxes in the window. If the drop down menu boxes where offset, and or a contrasting color it would help me find them. Reporting is easy to use and I, on many occasions, have been able to pull up information quickly when needed. We have never had any issues with online giving. I feel totally secure in having this information in the CT system. Unfortunately, we do not use the accounting platform. Cons This issue is specifically on our end and not CT. I cannot get more people interested in using the online application for any aspect of CT. With an aging population, technology is not what they want. I need to find ways to show them how beneficial the information from CT can be for them. Always a goal. That being said, you can always export most of the reports and go wild and crazy to your hearts content in excel. That's personally what I do... but I'm also a bit of a nerd when it comes to data. The user access, security, communication, and bank transactions features along with the ability to run reports that help make data easy to read add up to an application that is a great value for money and useful for both users and administrators Cons some have told me they had issues withthe sotware, I however love the application and could not find any issues that were dealbreakers for me. I am learning other features to use that i have not taken advantage of yet, Pros ChurchTrac is specific for churches and their unique needs. I've always found a solution to my issues either by help topics, support request or phone support.
