They have made so many positive updates and improvements to the system. ChurchTrac is our ministry's HUB for everything now and I highly recommend it to all ministries and fellowships. Pros The price you pay for what ChurchTrac provides is the greatest. The give you more than you what you ask for and the customer support is the top. Over the years I have been able to switch from using several programs to now only one. The Ease of Use is great. It is not complicated to learn. The Reports have helped in preparing tax returns to seeing where the ministry is going. Even when it comes to Member Management, this has been an asset. Cons The inability to have more than one way members can donate. It would be great if we could have in addition to Stripe that ChurchTrac uses, to add CashApp, PayPal and Venmo links for contributions. February 5, 2026 5.0 Overall, I've had a fabulous experience with ChurchTrac. As the pastor of a smaller church with many responsibilities, I appreciate a product that is easy to learn and use and doesn't cost a fortune. I'd strongly recommend this company and their products to any church looking for a way to keep track of people and projects, communicate with your congregation, and manage a functional and fresh web presence. Pros ChurchTrac provides an unmatched value for the cost of this product. In this segment there are many competitors, but you must pay double or triple what ChurchTrac charges for the same features. Additionally, ChurchTrac has the best support team I've ever worked with. In addition to numerous online help topics and a growing library of videos, support tickets are responded to almost immediately. I've been using this software for more than 5 years, and over time they have continued to update and improve the product. I keep getting a better solution and the price remains consistent. Cons The setup with twilio integration was challenging and ultimately I wish I hadn't gone that route. There are still improvements to be made in this regard, and with the email campaign manager in general. " January 14, 2026 5.0 Our overall experience with ChurchTrac has been exceptional! It is rare to subscribe to accounting software and find that it is so well constructed that you can jump right in personalizing settings and entering information without a lengthy tutorial process. It is truly self explanatory. The focus given to the special needs of churches is perfect. Pros From day one, ChurchTrac has been very easy to use. It is specifically geared to the needs of churches. It is priced according to church size which is great for small churches like ours. Online payments are automatically linked to ChurchTrac as is our use of Ministry Safe. In the rare occasion where help is needed, customer support is swift to reply. Additional help topics are also available on YouTube. Updates occur which are actually useful and always improve the ease of use. Reports make preparing financial reports and end of year giving statements easy, as well. ChurchTrac offers more features than our small church uses at this time, but as we grow we know we will utilize more of these features. Cons We honestly cannot think of anything we dislike about ChurchTrac! It has been a God-send for our ministry! Keep up the great work! What sets them above others is that they offering a full accounting option and built in check in system. Again I can't say enough about their customer service! Pros I like that is it a one stop shop. You can manage all the aspects of running a church from one place. I really like the banking, texting/emailing, check-in systems, and people management. Cons There are some things on the website and app design that are not very user friendly, but the customer service is a great at helping figure it out. The ease of use and the quick, efficient support makes all the difference. There is never an issue that isn't resolved the very day I send in an inquiry. Invaluable and incredible! Coupled with regular updates and improvements I am able to accomplish my job with confidence and ease. Pros The affordability for a small church is a must. ChurchTrac affords our church to cover all the bases with giving, accounting, mass text/email and people records. Cons Sometimes the reports module is somewhat limiting. I wish the 2-Factor authorization would allow for a separate voice number for the user's email/text. As a 20+ Software Test Engineer in both the federal and private sectors, I can honestly say that ChurchTrac is one of the best, most user-friendly, and thorough softwares I've ever worked with. The support articles and videos are outstanding, and what VERY few things aren't covered or need further clarification are all answered by support staff (live, not bots!) who are lightning-quick and extremely friendly and knowledgeable. And all that for a very reasonable cost! I just can't speak highly enough about the entire ChurchTrac team, the product, and their brand-new app. I HIGHLY recommend ChurchTrac to any and EVERY church that's looking for a church financial and/or management tool! Pros ChurchTrac does everything we need for management of our church's finances and membership rolls, plus more. It's all presented in a very clean, clear format; is easy to use; and has GREAT support features. Cons There's not really anything that I don't like about ChurchTrac. If I could tweak anything--and I've already suggested this to the developers a couple of times--it would be to allow automations to be set for quarterly and semi-annual actions, not just daily, weekly, monthly, or annually. Trying to remember to pause and unpause automations for quarterly and semi-annual transactions (to reduce the need to fully recreate the transactions each time) can be difficult and is easily forgotten, which makes the financials a bit harder to reconcile when transactions appearing (or not appearing) in ChurchTrac don't match what the bank accounts show. ChurchTrac support has been outstanding. My emails have been answered in a very timely fashion. The videos included in support are very helpful in learning a very user-friendly software. I emailed ChurchTrac an Excel file of my church membership information, and it was uploaded with two hours. Excellent experience. Cons At this point I have no cons. The customer support is the best I have ever seen. I attend a small church and I use ChurchTrac for our membership records. I don't use most of what the database can do. I run reports and keep membership data current. When I have a question or problem and contact ChurchTrac for help, they respond almost immediately. The database is friendly to operate and can do anything a church needs for record keeping. Pros ChurchTrac is very church oriented. The database has everything you need to keep track of what's happening in your church. I love the report feature and especially the custom report feature. Cons The cost is a bit pricey for a small church. Especially when you don't use all of the features. I wish ChurchTrac has various versions of the database because we don't use half of the features of the whole program. ChurchTrac has been such a blessing to me. It is so user friendly that I was able to pick up on it pretty quickly. It is easy to correct a mistake if you make one and the support team is fabulous! Pros ChurchTrac is very user friendly. I would choose this program over other accounting software like Quickbooks. Cons When running reports, it usually takes me several tries to get the one I need. Church attendance tracking, a church app, and a prayer wall were all on my wish list. After just a couple of weeks with ChurchTrac, I have been able to get all three of these things up and running with minimal effort. Pros The Church Connect app is very good. The cards are super. The attendance module works well and is fairly intuitive. The product is comprehensive and feature rich. Initial setup is relatively easy. Admin user additions and permission control is stellar! Cons Navigation through the product on the web in the administrative interface can be less than intuitive. There needs to be a clear 'backward path' to make the interface feel more like an application than a web page. Having the ability to bulk import people without reaching out to ChurchTrac would be nice for more tech-savvy users. Bookkeeper and assistant Religious Institutions Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Very Happy Churchtrac User" February 19, 2025 5.0 We researched the product, and were very impressed with their video content on YouTube describing in bite-sized pieces how different aspects of the program work. We tried the 30 day trial and were very happy with how well supported the programs are with easy-to-find help videos and articles, as well as how responsive their support team is for more convoluted questions. After purchasing one of the packages, their team has continued to reach out to us with tips, suggestions, and even a free zoom call to make sure we are getting started on the right foot. So far it has been a stellar experience!! Pros I love the way the way Churchtrac is set up for church use, everything from how families are grouped together for easy maintenance, to the way the accounting structure is set up, and how easy it is to get giving contributions and other reports run and distributed. We have just started to use the system and can't wait to try the other goodies that we know are available! Cons Some of the entry screens are a bit clunky, and the fly-out menus on the left keep flying into the way of what I'm doing. But those are small things compared to how good the program is. It has a great accounting platform, and so many other things that applies to the church. Pros The accounting platform and in connection to the accounting, church trac provides online giving and along with that we are taking advantage of the church connect that provides a web site. Also it has so many other options that will fit just about any size church. Cons This is not about church trac as much as it is with Stripe but the time it takes to transfer from a bank to our bank. I always get an answer to questions within 24 hours, even though I am in Australia. I have never felt alone in learning how each area works and the best way to utilize all functions of the software Pros ChurchTrac has taken a large amount of paperwork from the Secretaries duties. Great tool for small churches who are require to keep the same records as large churches, and so easy to use for recording member attendance at all functions. Cons I'm finding difficulty in recording visitors attendance at services. January 28, 2025 5.0 We have been using it for several years now with complete satisfaction. You have continued to add beneficial features which shows that you care about it being the best program available. It is very reasonably priced and I know that comes from the desire to serve the Lord in helping other churches with their financial burden. Pros It's an efficient program that has about all you would need for keeping the church's financial records accurate and in order and yet it is rather simple to do so with the features it has. Cons Memorized contribution amounts for regular tithers would be very beneficial. Nowadays most budget their tithes so they give the same amount each time and a memory, as I have seen in other programs, that would suggest the amount would be nice. Had experience with another software at a different ministry however Churchtrac was more affordable, had accounting software built in, and offered website/app. Lastly they had a partnership with a credit card processing company that allows us to process credit cards & ACH payments. Pros Software is affordable and user friendly. Customer service is very responsive; will generally have questions resolved the same day. Cons Product meets all of our ministry needs. Been with churchtrac for 3 years. They have tons of online help videos and resources. Fantastic videos and staff help with any and all questions. Zoom call was a blessing. Cons Would like to be able to print deposit slips with all our giving information for the bank.
