Had experience with another software at a different ministry however Churchtrac was more affordable, had accounting software built in, and offered website/app. Lastly they had a partnership with a credit card processing company that allows us to process credit cards & ACH payments. Pros Software is affordable and user friendly. Customer service is very responsive; will generally have questions resolved the same day. Cons Product meets all of our ministry needs. Been with churchtrac for 3 years. They have tons of online help videos and resources. January 28, 2025 5.0 We have been using it for several years now with complete satisfaction. You have continued to add beneficial features which shows that you care about it being the best program available. It is very reasonably priced and I know that comes from the desire to serve the Lord in helping other churches with their financial burden. Pros It's an efficient program that has about all you would need for keeping the church's financial records accurate and in order and yet it is rather simple to do so with the features it has. Cons Memorized contribution amounts for regular tithers would be very beneficial. Nowadays most budget their tithes so they give the same amount each time and a memory, as I have seen in other programs, that would suggest the amount would be nice. I am learning other features to use that i have not taken advantage of yet, Pros ChurchTrac is specific for churches and their unique needs. Their support team is outstanding demonstrating that they understand that their clientele are not CPAs nor IT geeks. I've always found a solution to my issues either by help topics, support request or phone support. I love the integration of giving, accounting, messaging and still learning Cons I'm the only one in my church using it. Got to get others onboard with administration of the system. It is wonderful. It is so easy to use. The Church Connect makes updating the website 2 or 3 times a week a breeze. Love our congregation can login and do so much like look at the directory. The cost makes it affordable for our small church. Pros Churchtrac is user friendly. The reports are easy to use. Our board and congregation can easily understand the reports. On the downside, new onboarding needs more time on scheduled calls. I always feel very rushed and not able to fully understand a process. I have devoted several hours to reading, watching videos and building parameters to assist in understanding the process. Pros All in one software for church recording, reporting and communication. Cons Onboarding process needs more hands on support for beginners. It helped organize and store our church members’ information and email birthday reminders to church staff. Pros It is very easy to organize people’s information with ChurchTrac. There are powerful reports you can run and schedule automations. They also have excellent customer service! Cons The system feels a little outdated and there’s no option for an app, just a web browser that’s optimized to be mobile friendly. Inputting information also was time consuming. Just trying to use existing spreadsheets to create accounts, funds and categories is my issue right now. It's the learning curve. Pros Just getting started as the new treasurer for our church. I've had a lot of questions and have opened a few support tickets. Each interaction has been very successful. Cons Not a function where you can "practice" doing something new. Like trying a test of importing a checkregister from a dummy bank to see how it works. Don't want to add my bank account without trying it. Would be nice to have a hierarchy chart printable to view how my accounts relate. They have it covered on many levels in terms of training. Pros Very easy to use interface. Built for non-accountant types, but has everything needed for the most every church. Great price for what you get. Cons I can't really say that I have found anything I don't like so far. Maybe the layout of one of the budget reports, but we can adapt that for our meetings. I wish I would have reached out more and earlier in my Churctrac adventure. Pros It seems easy and I think most people in our church will be able to use it for their assigned tasks. Cons In the accounting side when you click on a drop down menu the boxes that open up are the same size and color scheme as the boxes in the window. If the drop down menu boxes where offset, and or a contrasting color it would help me find them. I had no prior training or experience and no clue where to begin, but I gladly accepted because I want to give my best for the Lord. I'm here to say that Churchtrac is a Godsend!!! There is no guesswork, no planning or having to create spreadsheets, memberships, budgets, reports, etc. What an answer to prayer in so many countless ways!! Glad I found ChurchTrac. Pros The price was what attracted me as I am with a very small church. Since then the service has reinforced the decision. Cons I haven't found it yet. Of course, there is a learning curve as you try to get familiar with the program, but I think ChurchTrac is as easy as any to learn. I hated having to separate funds from tithes and offerings in order to keep a total available but Church Trac does that for me. Pros It is very user friendly, has great reports, and if you can’t figure something out on your own, there is usually a you tube video to help. Cons So far I haven’t found anything about it that I don’t like.
