### "I did a lot of research on chat apps for my website and Olark is the one that I decided to go with"

Pros

It is incredibly easy for someone to set up even if you don't have a coding background. More importantly, the CRM that I use was able to tie in with Olark's API to pull relevant chat user data into our CRM. We chat with customers every day and they appreciate the instant satisfaction.

Cons

The only con to Olark is that they don't have a mobile app for when you are away from a laptop or desktop computer. You will have to use a 3rd party app and I have found it a little buggy. For desktop use it is a great chat though.

Altogether, Olark has been an easy program to get used to to for a new operator

Pros

This is the easiest program i have ever learned how to use at my job. It makes it quick and easy to respond to customers by having a way to post quick responses using commonly and frequently used phrases.

Cons

The biggest complaint I have about Olark is that it frequently goes down while in bbn use and I am unable to type a message to a customer.

Pros

We use Olark for chat on our website and it does a good job of allowing us to help customers. We like being able to transfer a chat to someone else and being able to limit the number of people we chat with at once!

Cons

Every once in a while it seems the website time out and I will think I'm live but I'm not. I just refresh the page and then it works!

As a small e-commerce site it is tough to compete with large sites like Amazon. Olark gives us one of the tools to do that.

Pros

The free option is great for companies like ours where live chat is only used occasionally. We just need basic functionality for now, but love that this can be expanded as our needs grow.

Cons

Sometimes I am logged in automatically when I open my browser and sometimes not. I wish this was more consistent. Also I wish there was a notification that would pop up on my screen when I receive a chat message even if I have my web browser minimized.

We did our research before signing up with Olark chat couple of years back. From ease of installing the software on Magento, setting up for customer service team and training was seamless. I did have couple of questions and Olark support was there to answer all of them. As a manufacturer's direct retail website, we did see 2% reduction in calls compare to last year, We have saved at least another 2% shopping carts from abandoning with Olark's targeted message and customer offline message feature helped us getting back to prospect customers next business day. Recently, Olark rolled out their chat service for responsive/mobile website and we were quick to jump on this opportunity too and enabled this feature to service our mobile customers. Few other features which make our daily tasks easier are Transcripts, Reports, integration with Google Analytics, Visitor Insights, Chat ratings and ease of adding and replacing operators within admin section of Olark. I have recommended Olark to all of my friends and family members running eCommerce or business websites as a Chat software. Keep up the good work Olark!

Prior to the most recent update I was in the process of looking for a new chat app. I was unhappy with the look and design options of Olark, but, the recent update adressed these issues.

Pros

The split dashboards allows me to make changes to the design and settings of the system whilst allowing the operator to continue with their work

Cons

It's a bit expensive for my budget.

Pros

I like the added features, nothing we have used in the past had this many options and the ability to "pop up" on the website and grab people's attention more than doubled our contact, that is impressive!

Cons

The "price per person" gets a little steep, we are a small office, but it became too costly for us to continue to use this product.

Olark give us the ability to help out customers and agents without them needing to call in. It helps cut down on the inbound phone calls for simple questions.

Cons

Lack of customizations, Olark will log you out after 5 min of inactivity without any warning. Operator cant send attachments.

A really beautiful and flexible software to use everyday

Pros

Olark had helped me and my client grow leads through our website. Took a couple of days to get it running. The fact that it's so flexible and can interact with many other apps that we already use is the most awesome part of this software. Awesome stuff!

Cons

The set up was pretty tough at first, but we got a hang of it. We later understood it, and got it working.
