I saw Cordell estimator in a trade magazine, took a trial, bought it and never looked back, I have now used Cordell estimator for decades prior to the cloud based versions of today and since using Cordell estimator I have made a profit on every job. Best decision I ever made . Pros I am new to PlanSwift but think the Integration with Plan Swift is great for take off, highly recommend the cordell TAB 1.1 Cons If I'm looking really hard for something, It would be good to be able to move items in bulk and more easily up and down on the estimate some how. BUILDING MANAGER Insurance Used the software for: 2+ years ### "ESTIMATOR PLATINUM REVIEW" October 20, 2020 5.0 Pros Software is easy to use, current pricing is a massive plus in my industry and the formatting of the reports produced truly professional. Cons My heart bled when the ability to select a room was removed from the software, when scoping repairs to a house it used to be great being able to list Bedroom 1, Bedroom 2 and so using a click tab function - now I have to find a way of entering this detail then jiggling the report format to make some form of sense for my clients. Pros This product has changed many times over the years that i have used it, but continues to give me confidence as the fundamental basis is a' checklist' for mostly everything found within a job I'm pricing. Entering into a contract it also enables me to identify what's not included as well ! Professionally, it helps show my clients careful consideration of their project. Cons All my jobs are custom , i do spend alot of time preparing and altering wording for clients to see, however i do use this as a part of the specification for a project & only do it when im over 90 % chance of taking the job. I don't like admin much, and like most don't like bills !! Reason for choosing Cordell Estimator Early days it was the most logical and best with updated costings, I still believe it is , others haven't given me much confidence on first impression, but i haven't used them much so cant say. Builder Construction Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Cordell Estimator -Platinum" July 24, 2019 5.0 I started with Cordell back in 1994 since 2013 to its present date I have been a happy subscriber due to the fact of its professional set up, the constant estimate updates, and the tranning on offer at any given time. At the end of the day this has given me less time in the office more time with my family. We have found it to be user friendly Pros My organisation prefers to use the Elemental costing as this has reduced the time to quote for clients. Cons For the costing of the software programme you only get 1 loggin. I believe you should have a minium of 2 at the same time so you can cross reference with one another . this will be more acurate & saving more time when completing the estimates/quotations. Pros Customer Support is second to none. Recognised as a credible source for independent costings. An excellent "guide" to marketplace costings. I like the fact that material and labour prices are updated "live" online and not with 6 monthly set revisions. Cons The cost of monthly subscription to Estimator Platinum Plus. August 20, 2014 5.0 Using Estimator V5 has reduced my time spent on estimating by at least 40% which gives me more time to be on site and also spend more time on things that are important to me (family), The rates that cordell provides gets updated every week and are very close to my rates, If i wanted to be more precise, Estimator V5 allows you to put your own rates in and also customize the software to fit me. The only thing I was worried about was being able to use the software efficiently because I'm not very tech-savvy, however Cordell offers unlimited training and also the Estimator v5 was very easy to use.
