### "A life saver for a small business"

When HMRC made it compulsory to automatically submit employee salaries each month I needed an easy to use package to report this information (or end up paying my accountant a lot each month), and after some searching I found BrightPay. Some years later I am very happy to report that BrightPay fully does the job, is easy to use, and are happy to answer any questions one might have.

Very few problems - it just does what it says on the can. Prints and emails payslips - including logo on printed payslips, and sends RTI information to HMRC.

Pros

Simplicity and ease of use.

Cons

Would be even better if you could link to Accounting Software. An improvement would be to add P11D functionality and link to HMRC for this.

Pros

Clean design, simple functionality, feels like my hand is being held!

Some of the terminology is alien or could do with more explanation, but help centre and support is very efficient

Pros

Uncomplicated and easy to use. I felt a sense of confidence and security through the short prices. I heartily recommend it.

We were debating paying a company to manage the pay and tax for our Nanny. However I decided to try out Bright Pay first and it has been a great decision. It has made managing pay and tax simple and I would highly recommend to anyone needing to manage payroll.

In a previous larger business, I used my accountants to do all of my payroll. However, after selling up and setting up a much smaller business I decided to give Brightpay a go. Found it to be a really excellent system, and with only three employees - free! Had I realised how easy it could be, I would have used it when I was employing 20 people (and saved a fortune).

I have for the past 20 plus years used PAYE software from a very reputable but expensive software company in various company's. Then I tried Brightpay through a link from HMRC. I can not rate it high enough, so simple & easy to use. PAYE is no longer a chore.

Pros

It is easy to move from one one screen to another and then back again. Tailoring reports is very flexible.

Cons

Each tax year's records are stand-alone. So compiling records for a calendar financial year or any other period that involves more than 1 tax year involves extra work.

Very user-friendly. Designed for people who are not accountants. No need for training: you can use it from day 1. Great client support. The online "help" is very precise and easy to use. If you have a more specific problem, you can send an email to the technical support staff: you get very quickly a precise and bespoke answer. No dumb automated response!

We have under three employees and previously used HMRC basic pay. We have used this system for the past four months and it's brilliant, does everything for you and it is so easy to understand. The video help is great too. Would recommend and have done so!

A bit fiddly on enrolment for the Government pension scheme.

It is Very easy to get started and to use . i dont use many of the features as I just need the main pay package. My accountant has not picked up that iv made any mistakes so the credit must go to the Bright pay package as its certainly not me.

I started with this payroll software as I only have two employees. At work we use sage payroll. Bright pay is far easier to use with nice big buttons to press and a logical sequence to doing the weekly payroll something which Sage does not have.

Pros

Simple and idiot proof.

We've been using Brightpay for about 5 months to do our HMRC submissions. It has lots of features we haven't explored yet, but most seem intuitive and the the system seems to work very well. The one time I had to contact customer support they were able to respond quickly and their advice was straightforward.

A comprehensive software that is simple to use. As a small employer, I think this is an excellent product and it is provided free of charge until you have more than three employees. Produces all the documents you will ever need and includes the online filing facility.

So easy to set up and so easy to administer. Minimal fuss when it comes to reports and FPS. Much simpler than Sage which I was using before. Suits our company, Perfect Fit, as we are a very small employer.
