October 19, 2016 5.0 I've been using Brightpay for the last couple of years for the payroll of my cleaner and nanny. After trying different software, I found Brightpay very easy to use and reliable. It has helped me enormously with many issues such as maternity leave for my employees to automatic enrolment. I totally recommend it. I find BrightPay much easier to use than Sage and anytime I have had cause to contact customer support I've received prompt and courteous assistance - something I can't say about Sage! It guides me smoothly through the trickier areas of payroll management and always seems one set ahead of any required changes. If its anything like the rest it will work great. Recommended. Pros I got this when I set up our pension scheme as the Basic PAYE Tools wouldn't do it, so was a manual process. This is such a time saver. Another benefit is that it emails PDF payslips all at once. Integrates with HMRC for RTI, and also for coding notices which is great. Also interacts with Nest pension provider. Cons I find it difficult to write about the cons. Could be a bit cheaper for very small employers with 4-6 staff maybe. Review Source ALN Angela Linda N. I used the free version because the company was small, but there was loads of really good functionality. I've only needed to ask for help twice and on both occasions the response was swift and answered my questions. I also like the fact that this is not on the cloud (yes, maybe a bit of a philistine!) and it can be backed up so if you have any issues your data is safe. RTI is great and always submitted really quickly and without any issues. I would highly recommend this payroll package. Pros Ease of Use, good helpline, free for 3 employees, great value for money. To be honest it has been a lifesaver as we just didn't have the budget or the necessity to have a huge payroll system. It even incorporates the HMRC mandatory (another one!) pension scheme - although I am yet to activate this personally but I'm sure it will be as easy as the other aspects of Brightpay. Pros It's free and easy to use, a few clicks and our payroll and RTI reports are completed and submitted to HMRC - leaving us free to run our business.
