Easy to find my digital assets - mainly photos, videos & brochures Excellent for Brand Management too - we all work with the Official photos, logo & brochures Cons Have not noticed any for ages, there again, I am an occasional user. We are able to offer services to inhouse staff and to remote workers easily. Pros Customer service is excellent and I feel that they are response to my suggestions. They always seem to be working on new developments and improvements. Users find it intuitive. Cons Price seem to keep going up, which puts pressure on when we are facing budget cuts. Reason for choosing Lookatme Support offered - the initial attraction was that support was in the same time zone. We looked at around 6 products and I can't remember the name of the others that we looked at but the next best was supported in the UK. Review Source PE Pov E. The developers are fast to respond, helpful and flexible with minor tweaks and changes to adjust the product to the needs of the business. The service is stable with no down times. If there are any glitches, the team is instantly working to resolve them. Pros Lookatme App has a simple and easy to navigate User and Admin interface. The landing page is customizable with the slide show of three stills (could also be videos) and a list of showcase featured albums displaying selected hero images. Images open quickly with a choice of available sizes to download. From an Admin perspective the controls of user permissions and asset access management are simple. The metadata build and edit via the CSV file on MS Excel is efficient and easy. This DAM is capable of accepting more or less any standard file format, however some of of the formats may not have a preview available, which is expected. Our main current requirement is to have a library where a stakeholder could easily find assets they are looking for. This DAM does it and it does it great! Cons No product is perfectly built for an individual business. It is up to the procurement to research and negotiate what features are going to be most efficient and available in each case. The updates and upgrades of each DAM are important to keep the service attractive, functional and up to date in today's competing market. The cons listed below is not criticism, but rather suggestions or tweaks that would perhaps be a great add-on to the already great product: It would be great: if the asset search results could also be sorted by time stamp (oldest to newest); if assets displayed the times they have been downloaded; if IPTC fields could have a drop down button (or "expand" word as currently users don't seem to notice that the fields can be expanded for more details on the asset; if there was a notice email to the Admin when contributors uploaded new assets; if deleted assets did not appear in the upload history and or would have a marking (before clicking on it) that they have been set as deleted; if there was a better solution to link multiple talent release forms to multiple images; if archived images could default to Admin Item Group so that users could not see archived assets in search; if filtering by file type could also include "zip" archive; if it was possible to add a thumbnail image for no-preview files like "zip" archives; if the upload of assets was not possible before selected mandatory metadata fields are filled in. Always available to help us with support and advice to troubleshoot or to improve our processes. Pros The software is easy to use and the team at Lookatme will customise the software as required to meet our governance and metadata specifications. Lookatme team are unfailingly helpful with everything from content migration to successful integration with corporate systems. Cons Where we have identified a missing feature, Lookatme will investigate and provide advice on feasibility and cost eg for automated captioning. If others have identified a desirable it will likely be included in the Lookatme development roadmap. Lookatme has simplified the process and ensured that we're only using the right versions of images and brand assets. Pros Automatic generation of multiple derivatives Search functionality Metadata management Cons Can't think of anything. Maybe upload time for assets, but that's not a problem with the solutions, that's a problem with Australia's poor quality NBN network. We had the same problem with Dropbox. Love the numerous ways in which I can search items in our library now . Much more user friendly. Cons Would like to see the item history displayed in Admin mode as per the previous version. The new look is good and visually looks great. We're happy with the new version of Look at Me and have had a definite increase in the amount of people in the business logging on and using this. Pros I like being able to view categories visually, also like the fact we can bulk edit the content if it has been imported incorrectly or can add all the content and then edit images individually if they have varying content. Cons I still find its a litle difficult to use and very time consuming to add content resave and move. I would like the ability to delete images from our library and allow us more space to add fresher and newer content. Review Source SM Sarah M. The solution has been able to accommodate our growing image library and requirements. Pros We receive excellent support from the Lookatme team, they have accommodated a number of requests and are quick to solution problems. Pros We are quite new users of this software, but can only sing its praises. I am familiarising myself with the program and training some of our cataloguers and we are loving using the program. It is infinitely superior to our previous software in ease of use and user friendliness for researchers. Your staff, particularly \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] are very knowledgeable and have been so patient with me! It has been a great pleasure dealing with such professional people. Cons Nothing so far. The responsiveness of support is exceptional and requests are processed very quickly. Cons There are some administrative functions that would be good to have control over without the need for support.
