Marketing Used the software for: ### "Entermedia DAM with Drupal integration and Amazon S3" June 12, 2014 5.0 At Island Air we have installed a server-side instance of the Entermedia DAM, supporting our Drupal 7 based website through a subcontracted vendor module, and distributed throughout Amazon S3 Cloud. This is a powerful software solution, and highly customizable being open source. It is an excellent solution when user rights and projects have to be assigned at a very granular level. The conversion features are excellent, and it supports all media types. Searches and views are also very customizable. I would note that all of this customization comes at a price. This is not easy software to administrate and has quite a learning curve. Given that, customer support is excellent, expedient, and patient. Whether going server-side or cloud install I would highly advise buying the support package. While our DAM install was very smooth, the Drupal module that was subcontracted via Entermedia did exceed the install timetable, but it was completed at no additional cost. The Entermedia sales and support are fantastic, specifically Casey who is our rep, and is very fast to respond and knowledgeable of the product. They are a pleasure to work with. June 26, 2018 3.0 At the time it was the most powerfull product to take a large video library into a DAM. Pros Open Source product and has a fairly good and strong RestAPI build in. Underlying filesystem is easy to reverse engineer to be able to use the system in 3rd party processes. Cons The Docker deployment is not official and not supported. Controls over the conversion processes could be better to get the full power of FFMPEG/AVCONV. Review Source EW Erin W. Used the software for: ### "Great product!" April 22, 2016 5.0 We found EnterMedia while looking for a powerful and flexible open source DAM solution to help us manage our large volume of assets. The software has a number of features that fit our needs precisely, particularly around working with assets and metadata in bulk. During the 15-day deployment, the installation turned out to be quite a bit more complicated than anticipated, due to the complexity of our server setup within a larger university setting. Throughout the process, Casey and the developers were very helpful in making sure that we got up and running - very supportive in coordinating with multiple contact persons in different departments. In addition, they have been great in working with us post-installation to implement some custom functionality elements and helping to work through other challenges as they arise. So far we are very pleased with the software, as well as the commitment by the development team to make sure that our needs are met and that the software is continuously improved. Education Programs Manager Used the software for: ### "using EnterMedia for college course asset management" June 25, 2014 5.0 We began working with EnterMedia a little over a year ago as we were searching for an existing platform to manage digital course assets for a subset of faculty at Harvard University. While we appreciated the 'off-the shelf' product , we needed to customize our site in several ways to meet our users needs (i.e., faculty and teaching fellows), including changing some of the search tools and the user interfaces. EnterMedia has gone to lengths to understand and meet our needs, and been very receptive to all of our requests. As a group that does not have an in-house programmer, we have relied on their technical expertise to help us create a custom asset management tool and have been very pleased with the results to date. Used the software for: ### "A great system for media files management in higher ed." June 13, 2014 4.0 We ran several media servers (MS, Real, Apple, Flash) prior to adopting EnterMedia. The support and user interface of those applications were not satisfactory. We did a very comprehensive comparison of the products in the market - commercial and open source ones. EnterMedia won us because of its user interface, cost, support, and customization. We used it for 3 year now. Our users are very pleased with the service and interface. Used the software for: ### "A robust and powerful system" April 13, 2015 4.0 Entermedia is a robust and powerful digital asset management system. For our environment we needed a cost-effective system to handle transcoding needs that occur 24x7. This is a very challenging part of the process and EM handles it very well.
