Owner Environmental Services Used the software for: 2+ years ### "User with 3 vehicles" July 14, 2021 3.0 Pros Gives me the basic function of seeing where my vehicles are in a straightforward manner. Android app is convenient even if it is limited in function. Cons Trying to do anything outside of the basics of seeing where vehicles are and getting a geofence report is tedious and not intuitive. The UI is clunky and it isn't readily apparent where I need to go to do many tasks. Would like a way to send alerts not only to a company email/mobile but also to the driver of the vehicle. Reason for choosing Zonar It is what my franchisor set up initially and I haven't taken the time to investigate other options. It is fairly easy to use. The customer support has been fantastic. I love that I can do a chat and they quickly answer whatever questions I have. The fact that it tells me what code is popping up with the check engine light makes it helpful when I call the garage. The activity tracker has been helpful more than once for HR purposes as well. Pros We really like being able to locate our drivers and keeping track of mileage for maintenance. Cons The trackers tend to come loose because of where they are located in the vehicle. However, I get a message and I can have the driver fix it quickly. I think it would also be helpful if there was a function to tell us if one of our vehicles were in an accident. Reason for choosing Zonar This product was recommended to us by another owner of a similar company. We were very impressed with the presentation and all that this could do to help our company. Pros GPS Trackit allows me to know where my fleet drivers are located at all times. I can efficiently manage the workflow by sending them to the next nearest job site. I also use GPS Trackit to bill by time spent on the job. This frees us the employee to just get the work done and not worry about noting details. GPS Trackit is also a good deterrant to those tempted to waste time or run personal errands on the clock. Cons There really is nothing I don't like about GPS Trackit. Got my company to implement on several other delivery vehicles and its very cost friendly Pros Its easy to use, allows me to track my driver and assist in navigating different routes. Allows me to know where my driver is to assist in my customer service. Its ability to track minute by minute allows me to plan things out for the day as to when he will arrive Cons Its a pretty simple system and the only thing I would suggest is the ability to communicate with the driver some how...maybe just by leaving messages Reason for choosing Zonar It came to me highly recommended and I had seen it used and all the benefits that came with it so I did not seek out other systems. We can look and see where they are and how they are being driven. Its very simple to hop onto the app and pull up the information we are looking for. The daily checks on my team location, and easy-to-use follow up reporting is crucial to our business. Pros Accurate tracking and little downtime. Intuitive reporting. Cons In the past, updates to our profile (address specifically) have not been changed over and I've had to contact a few times with still no update. Also, after adding an additional device after our initial order, we have to have a separate account instead of just 1 account. Great customer service. Pros The best plug & play system on the market for the money. Way better than Motive ever thought of being. Cons I have not fount anything bad about the system yet. Motive worked good for 1 month, then after that it went to hell. We could not get any help from either company's customer support. Their excueses were always that the drivers were messing with the equipment, but when we proved that wrong, they then tried to blame it on us, that we installed it wrong. Southeastern Operations Manager Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "A simple solution to ELD with no contracts, but lacks good quality tech support & customer service. " March 4, 2018 1.0 Pros Simple installation, plug and play, no contracts which allows the ability to search for other options or at least wait until the bigger companies ie Feetmatics & Omnitracks remove their contracts. Cons Tech support is horrible. They always blame the user for errors. Equipment software needs to be updated frequently otherwise your driver will someone how find a way to place them in violation. The system has even send us a message to switch to paper logs on more then one occasion. There are times when the unit does not switch automatically to drive mode and the driver needs to manually do so, or vise versa. Mileage is sometimes not recorded automatically and in one occasion nothing at all from one state to the other. This is supposed to be done automatically by the system, yet the driver is at fault according to tech support. There is no accountability from their support system, their reply is always vague. Wait time to get a hold of someone is on average 20-45min wait. If you are in East Coast you must wait until they are open since they are in West Coast. If you are a 24Hr Company then you are screwed, they told us they are switching to a 24Hr Support in March but we still waiting on it. If you send an email or leave a voice message about an error or issue it will take about a day or two for someone to reply letting you know they are looking into it. Hope they fix this otherwise we jumping ship. Overall I'm disappointed in choosing this company and regretful to have put our company onboard one that doesn't have they stuff together. I've been impressed with the follow up from customer service and them reaching out to see if we need anything. Pros I love the feature that tells us when the vans come to a stop and the ignition goes off and when they start back up again. It helps our office staff to know how long our installers were at a customers home and has helped improve efficiency. Pros I like the fact that any incursion while driving is recorded by the windshield mounted camera, that records activity in front and behind me with a split screen in real time, recorded into the cloud. But is most like its use as a theft deterrent. Not only does the camera record into the cloud any activity to break into or damage my vehicle, if my vehicle is stolen and the camera removed, the hidden GPS continues to send its location for the police to recover. They are responsive when we have transponders that are having issues and quick to resolve the problem. Pros The GPS let's me keep track of my service crews throughout the day to tell me where they are in there route. It also saved us when a client accused one of our crews of stealing something out of his garage because he thought he saw out truck. Trackit was able to verify that none of our vehicles were at his house on the day of the theft and I was able to show him where every truck was at the time. Cons We just needed something simple and easy to use and this fit the bill. No need of more bells and whistles. We're old school.
