Simpy put, it does all that we need and performs admirably Pros Safeguard is a small efficent peice of software, the small install size and memory requirement mean no impact on the server. At this price point you would struggle to find a better alternative Cons Nothing, it simply does all that I need it do to and is laid out well and simply to use. All components are provided with the base product (nodelock and floating license support), we don't have to keep going back to buy more. Great response time from support, though we have not needed much. Simple integration for our C++ project, less than a day to get linked and running. Cons For basic license management, no cons to report. It just works. Different license options (node, floating). Easy license server installation.I am very satisfied that I chose SafeGuard LM. Pros It is very simple to use. Examples are prepared for different programming languages (I use FORTRAN).Quick support response (even on holidays). Cons I am not aware of any major disadvantages. I would probably appreciate a more detailed manual describing better the philosophy of software protection and its implementation. The manual describes each function precisely, but the implementation process was only obvious from the examples (easily readable for developer). I was just dealing the way of implementation (complicated by my FORTRAN compiler) with support. As my company has grown it was a pleasure to work with the Persistent Security team to expand my use of their product. I use it on Windows 32bit/64bit, macOS & Linux. Pros I love that the developers are very open to requests. They take the time to fully understand any additional requirements and several new features were added as a result. The software is the most stable I have ever seen. It just runs and runs without issue. Documentation and support is also excellent. Cons Hard to think of anything. I guess it would have been nice to have some pretty reports baked in, but it's easy for your own web developer to knock these up. I found an extra module for windows (anti-hacking), plus I receive regular updates. Excellent work! Pros I like the way I could master all pieces of the licensing system. It's really customisable. I really control what I'm doing. The examples were absolutely helpful, and all my required use cases are covered by them. Integration with my products was easy. Cons The only thing taht I still have to develop is a small web app on the internal network that help non-tech guys to generate license for their customers. SafeGuard LM did just that. Pros An easy to integrate, complete and well supported license management software. Does what it is intended to do, has great documentation and works flawlessly. Cons Administration (backend side) of the software does require some customization before high volume deployment is possible. Some improved bundled in tools would help in this process.
