We have very pleased with the ease of this product, and our residents/ participants love the convenience and flexibility it has brought for registering for our department's programs and events.

Pros

It is easy to train staff on how to use it, if we have a question it's answered in a very timely manner, there is no cost for upgrades, and we get emails or pop-ups announcing new modules or upgrades.

Cons

When we move a participant to a new program their forms disappear, and for new participants they sometimes find the category selection on their "view" homepage to be a challenge.

I am a big fan. We've used other, similar software, and we've grown to like RecDesk for the ease of use. Part-timers can pick up the software easy. It is NOT a singular usage program for a community center, though. You will still need space management software and event software - both features of RecDesk are poor.

Pros

Ease of use. RecDesk creates a clear path forward on any task. It allows easy tracking of class rosters. Reporting features are top-notch and simplified for easy auditing and tracking.

Cons

The most challenging aspect of RecDesk is communicating with enrollees. There is no way to communicate directly from an individual, as all communication originates from the institution. Additionally, I am not a huge fan of the design of RecDesk, as it feels very dated.

### "Going from good to great with RecDesk"

Overall my experience has been positive, but with some letdown along the way. The product is good, but a few tweaks could be great!

Pros

Here is what is right about RD \*please note that my interaction with RecDesk is only from a league managment perspective. -The Dashboard. Specifically the registration and payment tab. Historically we've never been able to collect payment upon registration for our leagues, which leaves us to have to turn into collection agents. -Ordering uniforms. This year my assistant was able to order uniforms in 30 min as opposed to our old system which took days -I like how easy it is to mass communicate (more on this below) -I like the flex calendar and the ease of access to the facility schedule -I like being able to see who is overdue in payments

Cons

Here is a few wrongs about RD -Not being able to upload a pdf or a premade practice/game schedule, or any important documents for that matter, for my coaches to see on "My Leagues". -Creating a practice/game schedule is extremely difficult. Having to go into each league individually and schedule each game is taxing. The user interface is difficult to understand for this process. Thus, we opted to create them outside of RD, and just import them as documents so that coaches could just access from their "My League" pages. When I learned that was not an option, I discovered just how difficult to create practice and game schedules. We abandoned this feature and just gave the coaches their stuff via email. To be fair, I / my training could be the issue. -The back of house user interface system is difficult to process visually. All of the main tabs and their subsequent tabs, plus the quick actions tabs on the right creates paralysis by analysis (this is subjective however) -I don't like how I cant send out one mass email / sms to all our leagues. I have to go into each individual league (like i said, it could be on my end) -Not a fan of how I can upload pictures of each coach on their profile or my personal profile for that matter -Not a fan of how difficult the process is change the look and fell of each landing page

We like the simplicity use cases of RecDesk on the Admin Side

Cons

Community Side, there's a little too much going on; We wish that their was a community member training that we can give to parents; - Not having Discount Codes; and forcing organizations to put Fees online even if people have scholarships - No true Scholarship features (and we have to create workarounds) it would be nice if we put them in a scholarship everything we select would automatically fix or adjust pricing - Administrative Burdens: A lot of things in RecDesk can not be customized to the organization's needs, and we wish that we got to sit down with one of the Software developers and let them know our needs as an organization.

Amazing. I have used 4 different Recreation Software's over my career and I always support RecDesk. Other professionals ask between different companies and I say go with RecDesk every time! Easy choice go with RecDesk you wont regret it!

Pros

Customer Service: If I need anything at all or would like to change something I'm heard actions are taken quickly and always a friendly, helpful person on the other side of the phone/computer. How easy it is to use: On a customer and management basis, we don't call often into support because its so easy to use and updates happen and when they do we are notified and normally a video or explanation happens to learn the new features. Affordable cost for the product: It's affordable and covers all of our needs membership, credit cards processing, registrations, facility reservations, calendars, along with data for budget season and so much more.

Cons

I have used 4 different Recreation Software's and I always support RecDesk no cons! Easy choice go with RecDesk you wont regret it!

Reason for choosing RecDesk

My time in Milford as a Program Coordinator our Director was looking to make a change. I was a little hesitant to change software's and she was as well. RecDesk let us test the product 6 months in advance before going live so we can understand it and get all future programming/calendar info in there before releasing it to the public. There were videos to watch and also screen time between a rep and ourselves to completely learn the program.

RecDesk is a great tool to have if you are over park registration, park league, and any rental areas. Registrations turn into park leagues with a few click. You can ever get a computer generated schedule based off your requirements. We also use it to rent out our community center and it has made that process easier as well.

Pros

I love that documents can be placed on a member so that the customer never has to bring the same paperwork over and over. I love how simple it is to create a league from program registration.

Cons

I do not have anything that stands out that I would like to change.

Overall, I enjoy RecDesk. It makes it easy to track programming revenue, print daily reports, and create reservations.

Pros

I like how easy RecDesk is to use and understand. The support team does a great job of providing training videos and answering questions quickly.

Cons

I do not like that for every transaction, users need to create an account to register for a program or reserve a site. Some community members find it to be a hassle, but it is easy to make an account.

Pros

Ease of use, learning the program was intuitive and efficient, easy to realize and correct user mistakes. The support I've needed was quick and solved the issues.

Cons

That I'm the only administrator. I wish that I had more staff that I can assign to the program. I have not had any issues with RecDesk.

RecDesk has helped us modernize from paper & pen, to online scheduling, invoicing and communications. Scheduling facilities is more efficient using RecDesk too.

Pros

Blasting out email communications is so easy with RecDesk! We can email the entire community, or a specific roster. RecDesk is real time so if someone in the office makes a change, anyone logging in anywhere can see it immediately. Registrations on-line are very smooth and easy to set-up. The customer support is great. We have a wonderful go-to person. There are helpful tips and FAQs but we have a person to help us out.

Cons

As an administrator, I cannot think of anything that is truly a con.

Our experience with RecDesk has been good from the beginning. The RecDesk staff will work with you to get everything set up. They guide you through the changes, etc, so you learn the system, instead of them doing it for you.

Pros

The ease of use is probably its best feature! There is a slight learning curve as with anything new, but practice makes perfect. This is pretty much a standalone software for use. We use it primarily for league scheduling, facility rentals, and minimal program registrations and POS. We are still discovering hidden features. The Customer Service is great!

Cons

\>No toggle box for Tax Exempt Status. We would love to see a toggle box for Tax Exempt Status on the member accounts, so that we would not have to remove sales tax for each transaction. >Trying to make cancel a reservation and credit the household account on a multi-reservation, multi-pament invoice can be a little tricky if you don't know which payment covers the reservation being cancelled. One other thing I find a disadvantage is that too many capabilities are lumped together under the user roles.

Reason for choosing RecDesk

The RecDesk marketing representative was very persistent and persuasive (cudos)! The price was comparable to what we had been paying, but the user-friendliness of the system was much greater. Flex Forms was a huge plus also! It eliminated all our paper contracts. The user setup facility setup and maintenance was very simple.

I have been using it for just over 6 months and I do struggle from time to time looking for what I need, and often times I need to tell the customer or member to be patient with me because at times I needed to go through several other steps to get to what I wanted.

Pros

I like that I am able to see and provide information for our members when they ask.

Cons

It takes going through several steps sometimes to get the results I want.

Pros

RecDesk is really simple and easy to use from both the standpoint of the administrator and the user. It has many great functions that are helpful for exporting and organizing data.

Cons

One downside is that RecDesk is not as visually appealing/up to date as other sites in terms of graphics and visuals.

Pros

The ease of use. It is intuitive to use, which makes training new staff super easy. It is also simple for our customers to use the community portal. The staff and the consumers love that once their household information is saved it makes registration simple and quick. Our staff loves everything about the software. We are constantly impressed with the new features that are added on a regular basis. Often we'll be wishing for an improvement on something and before we can ask about it they make it happen! We are so happy we chose RecDesk over it's competitors! They can't be beat for customer service and price!

Cons

The only thing I don't like about the software is people can create multiple profiles. I wish there was a way it recognized a person's email or mailing address and alerted them they already have a profile with us.
