We have very pleased with the ease of this product, and our residents/ participants love the convenience and flexibility it has brought for registering for our department's programs and events.

Pros

It is easy to train staff on how to use it, if we have a question it's answered in a very timely manner, there is no cost for upgrades, and we get emails or pop-ups announcing new modules or upgrades.

Cons

When we move a participant to a new program their forms disappear, and for new participants they sometimes find the category selection on their "view" homepage to be a challenge.

I am a big fan. We've used other, similar software, and we've grown to like RecDesk for the ease of use. Part-timers can pick up the software easy. It is NOT a singular usage program for a community center, though. You will still need space management software and event software - both features of RecDesk are poor.

Pros

Ease of use. RecDesk creates a clear path forward on any task. It allows easy tracking of class rosters. Reporting features are top-notch and simplified for easy auditing and tracking.

Cons

The most challenging aspect of RecDesk is communicating with enrollees. There is no way to communicate directly from an individual, as all communication originates from the institution. Additionally, I am not a huge fan of the design of RecDesk, as it feels very dated.

### "Going from good to great with RecDesk"

Overall my experience has been positive, but with some letdown along the way. The product is good, but a few tweaks could be great!

Pros

Here is what is right about RD \*please note that my interaction with RecDesk is only from a league managment perspective. -The Dashboard. Specifically the registration and payment tab. Historically we've never been able to collect payment upon registration for our leagues, which leaves us to have to turn into collection agents. -Ordering uniforms. This year my assistant was able to order uniforms in 30 min as opposed to our old system which took days -I like how easy it is to mass communicate (more on this below) -I like the flex calendar and the ease of access to the facility schedule -I like being able to see who is overdue in payments

Cons

Here is a few wrongs about RD -Not being able to upload a pdf or a premade practice/game schedule, or any important documents for that matter, for my coaches to see on "My Leagues". -Creating a practice/game schedule is extremely difficult. Having to go into each league individually and schedule each game is taxing. The user interface is difficult to understand for this process. Thus, we opted to create them outside of RD, and just import them as documents so that coaches could just access from their "My League" pages. When I learned that was not an option, I discovered just how difficult to create practice and game schedules. We abandoned this feature and just gave the coaches their stuff via email. To be fair, I / my training could be the issue. -The back of house user interface system is difficult to process visually. All of the main tabs and their subsequent tabs, plus the quick actions tabs on the right creates paralysis by analysis (this is subjective however) -I don't like how I cant send out one mass email / sms to all our leagues. I have to go into each individual league (like i said, it could be on my end) -Not a fan of how I can upload pictures of each coach on their profile or my personal profile for that matter -Not a fan of how difficult the process is change the look and fell of each landing page

We like the simplicity use cases of RecDesk on the Admin Side

Cons

Community Side, there's a little too much going on; We wish that their was a community member training that we can give to parents; - Not having Discount Codes; and forcing organizations to put Fees online even if people have scholarships - No true Scholarship features (and we have to create workarounds) it would be nice if we put them in a scholarship everything we select would automatically fix or adjust pricing - Administrative Burdens: A lot of things in RecDesk can not be customized to the organization's needs, and we wish that we got to sit down with one of the Software developers and let them know our needs as an organization.

RecDesk is a great tool to have if you are over park registration, park league, and any rental areas. Registrations turn into park leagues with a few click. You can ever get a computer generated schedule based off your requirements. We also use it to rent out our community center and it has made that process easier as well.

Pros

I love that documents can be placed on a member so that the customer never has to bring the same paperwork over and over. I love how simple it is to create a league from program registration.

Cons

I do not have anything that stands out that I would like to change.

### "Easy to use"

Overall, I enjoy RecDesk. It makes it easy to track programming revenue, print daily reports, and create reservations.

Pros

I like how easy RecDesk is to use and understand. The support team does a great job of providing training videos and answering questions quickly.

Cons

I do not like that for every transaction, users need to create an account to register for a program or reserve a site. Some community members find it to be a hassle, but it is easy to make an account.

RecDesk has filled our needs seamlessly. We are faster and more efficient in our processes and only use around 40% of the programs capabilities.

Pros

Ease of use, learning the program was intuitive and efficient, easy to realize and correct user mistakes. The support I've needed was quick and solved the issues.

Cons

That I'm the only administrator. I wish that I had more staff that I can assign to the program. I have not had any issues with RecDesk.

### "Rec Desk has been a game changer for our Club"

Rec Desk has been a game changer for me and the Club I am with. We really like it and don't plan on changing from this program any time soon.

Pros

The registration of programs and memberships has alleviated so much administrative time in the office. We never have over bookings and it is easy to take people off the waitlist if someone decides to cancel. We have less money being transferred in the Club which is always a good thing. The way we can export the data to excel, do attendance, create new programs and refund if necessary are all easy to figure out. The program is front end loaded but it is well worth it for our Club. The ongoing customer support is outstanding. The person who trained me always checks in with me and if I ever have a question, she will always get back to me immediately with the answer. The webinars they offer throughout the year are a bonus when they are introducing new features.

Cons

Facility bookings was not ideal for us as we have the add on of pizza and we couldn't find out where they could submit their toppings. We also had too many options that it would always mean someone in the office following up to ensure payment and options were correct. I also wish the grade was something that was an option in the household information instead of using a flex form. Some people don't fill out the flex forms and then we have to contact them to get the information.

Watching some of the videos, talking to other Clubs that had it and the tutorial convinced me that this program was a good fit for us

RecDesk reduced the amount of time spent duplicating information between our website, facility scheduling, and programs. It has been a game changer for our center and has drastically reduced our staff hours to allow us to grow in other areas.

Pros

We have used online registration and facility management software for over 14 years and RecDesk does it all and with ease! There was seamless integration, and extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and responsive help staff from the beginning of the process to present. We have trained numerous staff with this product over the years and the simple, well explained easy to follow system makes it a product anyone can master in a very short window of time.Prior to RecDesk, we had two different programs: one for our website and one for registrations, facility scheduling, and program information. RecDesk changed all that for the better and reduced duplication and extra time. We now create a program in RecDesk which is automatically integrated online to our RecDesk website and gets scheduled into our facility - all at the same time! No more duplication or extra time needed. The process to duplicate a program with the click of a box and quick change of the title is so quick and easy to do for programs that run month after month or year after year. A real time savings! To be able to update any program or scheduling contact on our website in house is another much needed service that our previous programs did not provide.

Cons

I wish we could update our website layout without having to reach out to RecDesk help staff.Also wish we could import data from the family accounts to the coaching/instructor accounts because most of our coaches are mom or dads of our players and we have to manually enter the data for a coach's account.

It has been EXCELLENT from the sales people to the trainers to the customer support it has been fabulous. I have nothing but good things to say about the team there at RecDesk. They are very quick to respond and always a wealth of knowledge. It feels like we are their only client the attention that we get when we need it. I would and have recommended RecDesk to everyone that asks about what we use. It is a great product and the team you have behind it makes it even better.

Pros

It is very easy to use. We have a lot of turnover in our front desk staff with them being high school students. It is very easy to train them on how to use the system and they catch on very quickly. We are also able to offer online payments for those that do not live in town. We also can allow for automatic renewal if a patron chooses to use that option. It is very easy to keep organized with all the programs we run and the numerous reports we can run helps us with budgeting at the end of the year. We can also evaluate our programs based on profit and the number of users in each program.

Cons

We use the system for camping reservations and it does not work exactly how we would like but it gets the job done.

Reason for choosing RecDesk

The ease of use to start with. It also had everything we needed to use without a lot of extras we would never use. I feel like we paid a good price for an excellent product. Plus the sales staff and those who showed us the demo were above and beyond. I knew that not only the product was going to be good but the support system would be too.

I appreciate the automation RecDesk offers our staff, our customers, and my personal work load.

Pros

A RecDesk employee walked our park staff through an elaborate training process, and we felt very cared for as we implemented RecDesk. Now that is it up and running, I appreciate the versatility of the software and that it allows a mostly hands off experience to manage program registration, shelter reservation, and payment. Although RecDesk still seems robust, I find my way around the software and accomplish the task.

Cons

Sometimes I feel lost in a big city. An analogy for being stumped with a task. But if I end up in the wrong direction, RecDesk doesn't break. I can fix it, or use the Help, or ask my coworker team.

We’ve gone completely paper free in the last two years. The administration portion of my job has gone from 90% paperwork to 40% and most of that entails running reports.

Pros

RecDesk is very easy to use for a one person department—features are manageable, yet quick and easy enough to set a program up within 5 minutes and get it published.

Cons

I really, truly wish, that the registration process was easier for my residents. I’ve had many complaints that the process is too time consuming and they just call me to have me do it. I also wish that the program wouldn’t allow residents to register for more than one program at the same time scheduled.

The customer service was exceptional and this program was the easiest to manage on a small budget. I am the first director the department has had.

My overall experience with RecDesk has been pleasant. On a scale of 1 through 10, I would give it an 8.

Pros

RecDesk has tremendously helped us with registration, scheduling, and making things easier for our community. Having the ability to take online registration and payments has made for easier and more participants within our programs.

Cons

So far, the only issue I have run into is sending out bulk emails. Sometimes the system and my email do not like to work together and can make for sending the emails complicated.

Great! \[sensitive content hidden\] and the crew are a pleasure to work with. Very responsive and understanding of our needs. So far so good on our end!

Pros

Support has been exemplary. Ease of use also ranks up there. Love the ‘wishlist’ feature. RecDesk certainly delivered on one of our wishes.

Cons

A work in progress is our drop in credit classes, doesn’t seem to track and monitor when punches get low. Facility parameters seem tricky.
