"Be careful! You can't use this app for a once off event!"

**Overall:** They have no leniency for a one event user.

**Pros:** Not a difficult app. Easy to set up questions.

**Cons:** I only needed it for one event and still had to pay for a year. It would have been great if there was options for shorter periods like a month. I will definitely be warning my colleagues and students at the university about this app - way too expensive for a one off event.

"Okay Product, But Shockingly Poor Customer Service and Inflexible Policies"

**Overall:** In October, I noticed a charge of $129.72 on my bank account—an account I no longer actively use since transitioning to a new job. This account was tied to my former small business, which I haven’t closed but am not currently operating. The charge caused my account to overdraft, which was not only stressful but also financially impactful. I reached out to Poll Everywhere immediately to explain the situation and request a refund, but what I received in return was a rigid, policy-driven response that completely ignored my unique circumstances. Despite me clearly stating that I no longer need or use the service—and the fact that I had used it only once—they refused to offer any flexibility or refund. They cited “fairness and consistency,” but it’s clear this approach serves their bottom line, not their customers. Why This Matters: I am a journalist who produces independent documentary films. Anyone who has ever tried to build a small business or create independent films knows how difficult it is to stay afloat financially. What may seem like a small $129.72 charge to a company like Poll Everywhere is, in reality, a significant amount to those of us who are working hard to create something meaningful. It’s also incredibly frustrating that their process requires customers to jump through hoops, such as manually downgrading their accounts, even after stating they no longer want the service. They have no customer service phone number, forcing you to rely on slow, email-only communication. This makes resolving issues a time-consuming process that could be avoided with a simple phone call. A Missed Opportunity for Good Customer Service: Policies should serve as guidelines, not barriers to doing the right thing. Good companies know when to consider context and make exceptions for honest mistakes, especially when the evidence is clear: no service usage for an entire year and an inadvertent overdraft. Instead, Poll Everywhere chose to hide behind their policy, demonstrating a lack of empathy and integrity. Consider These Alternatives: If you need an interactive polling tool and want to work with a company that values its customers, I recommend considering these alternatives: Mentimeter: User-friendly polling and Q&A tools with responsive customer support. www.mentimeter.com Kahoot!: Great for interactive quizzes and polls, with strong community support. www.kahoot.com Slido: Seamless integrations and excellent customer service. www.slido.com Vevox: Known for live polling and a customer-first approach. www.vevox.com Final Thoughts: Poll Everywhere may offer a good product, but true value comes from how a company treats its customers. If you’re looking for a service that cares about more than just your subscription fee, I recommend looking elsewhere.

**Pros:** Live Audience Response to a Poll. I hosted one event in a theater where I wanted to ask the audience one question in real time and in a way they could immediately see what everyone else's answers were.

**Cons:** Poll Everywhere offers a good product. If you’re looking for an interactive polling tool for presentations or events, the platform itself works well. I used it once at a live film screening to engage the audience, and it performed as expected. But while the product is decent, the customer service and company policies are incredibly disappointing.
