Research Assistant Research Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Incredibly helpful and engaging tool for public talks" March 5, 2019 4.0 Overall Poll Everywhere is a phenomenal tool that allows presenters and speakers to engage the ENTIRE audience in a very novel way. Pros What I like most about this software is that if I am giving a public speech or presentation, I am able to engage the audience in a meaningful way, one of which has the potential to change the very course of the presentation itself. This is an incredibly novel thing. Cons What I don't like about this software is its inability to do more complex polling/experimental designs. That is, I wish I were able to set up different experimental conditions to poll the audience with in order to make more complex points rather than just simple polls. Review Source CM Courtney M. Cons Limited functionality unless paid membership, and my university has not yet created a contract for faculty. Increased applications specifically for learning environments would help. I also use it in calibrations to determine how we would score a specific call. This allows each scorer to think independently and sparks great conversation! June 12, 2020 5.0 Polling of an audience during a presentation regarding customer service and experience. Pros The software is easy to use and integrates seemlessly into presentation software. Their customer service is fantastic as well as they solved a self-caused issue for me in a speedy amount of time. Cons No issues with the software, just the plans that they offer. the free plan gets you 25 participants. The cheapest paid plan does 700 participants and can only be billed annually. It would be awesome if there was some middle-ground for 100 - 200 participants that could be billed monthly or as needed. In this way, it offers a good versatile, interactive tool. Pros Poll Everywhere is very simple, functional, and easy to use. It is fast and easy to log on and gain access to the right poll. Cons The layout is dull and simplistic. It doesn't give you any feedback after completing a poll. It would benefit from some simple effects and a more interesting color pallette to engage users. Pros I'm using the free version which has some limitations like a maximum of 25 responses per question but is otherwise full of features including a very large variety of question formats. Cons There is no pricing scheme for occasional users. I only need the app around twice a year so it's not worth paying for the next tier after the free account so I'm stuck with the free version. Pros This software allows me to receive answers in real-time! It loads very quickly in terms of bringing up new answers exactly as they are received. There is no delay and this makes for seamless interactions. Cons I have had some glitches with the embedding feature (where a poll can be inserted into an existing presentation). Cons There's the possibility that if my classes increased, I wouldn't be able to use this for free. I don't really have any complaints about it, except that sometimes it's hard to tell if I've allowed access to the poll.
