Overall: I've been a customer of PHPLive for a few years and have never been let down. The team there diligently works with me to solve any issues their software has.
In fact, a few weeks ago I had an issue that was specific to my website not being compatible with their software -- something they have no obligation to fix. I called them and told them about my issue, and a hotfix for the issue was available within the next few hours.
Their team is dedicated to making the most feature-complete and lightweight chat solution possible. We've tried other chat solutions, but none have even come close to the sheer amount of features offered by PHPLive, all while not hogging our server resources.
I would definitely recommend PHPLive to anyone looking to do Live Chat for their website for any reason.

Comments: I don't have an experience in using this live chat solution but am not planning to after the horrible customer care service I had to encounter. I have been analyzing different companies providing live chat solutions in the marketplace. Came across PHP live and decided to see what are the features that are being offered. There is a feature page on their website and displays all the features but were missing a few which the others are offering. The other companies generally give a clear comparison between their plans and the important features. But PHP live's site does not. So I decided to chat with them to find out. PHP live chat does not have a live chat facility on their own website. It is only for their clients. That was the 1st concern that I had. But there is a facility to send a message on their site so I decided to send an email with my queries. I got a reply, not answering my questions on the features as requested but the rep asked me what is the URL on which I am planning to embed it and if I am reviewing other solutions, which are they., Again, this was not seeming right, but I decided to give the rep the names of the other solutions I had been analyzing. So the rep, probably satisfied with my answers told me that the feature list depends on which plan I am looking at. Again, I felt like shouting out to him, just give me the feature list but I decided against it. And very calmly told me my requirement. About 5 emails later, and again no feature list. the person kept on sending me links of the feature page which I had already seen. In the end I was told that if the feature I am looking for isn't in the list, it's probably not there. Awful experience. Waste of time!
