CTO Information Technology and Services Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Scalable Learning Made Simple with a Vast Content Library" April 29, 2026 4.0 Overall, I have been satisfied with my experience using Go1, particularly in the context of scalability and simplicity of learning within a team. The greatest benefit of Go1 is the availability of a very extensive and centralized content library that eliminates the necessity for multiple content vendors and ensures that the introduction of training becomes much faster regardless of its type (whether it's compliance, onboarding or skills development). However, such an experience has its drawbacks. As a result of the availability of the content library, the need to curate the content arises, and some advanced features require third-party software such as LMS. On the whole, Go1 can be considered a very powerful content library that lacks some features to become a standalone learning system; however, by being treated as the former, it enhances learning and training substantially. Pros The most distinctive feature of Go1 is the huge amount of course material it offers. This means that you will not have to find the course material offered by various vendors but be able to offer your teams thousands of courses on compliance, business topics, technology, and even soft skills, everything in one place. The second important feature is user friendliness and smooth integration into existing processes. The learning platform is easy to use and, therefore, requires little preparation from your team to actually start using it. What is more, it works well with other LMSs, meaning that it can integrate smoothly into your current processes. Cons A primary flaw in Go1 is the large size of its content library but how it may turn out to be an overwhelming one to go through without a lot of work in terms of manual filtering and ensuring that users get relevant courses based on their requirements because of a lack of intelligent functionality. Secondly, the software works more like a content aggregation platform than an LMS, meaning that in case one wants to implement more advanced features like analytics or reporting, external software has to be used by the teams. The variety of courses that are offered in multiple languages is great for global organizations. The search functionality within the library is also quite good. The fact that it integrates seamlessly with our existing LMS is helpful for the employee experience. The support we get from our CSM is fantastic. Cons The frequency of retiring courses and/or providers parting ways with Go1. We put a lot of time into vetting courses that fit what we need, then setting them up with the right assignment rules, and reporting on their completions. When a course suddenly retires, it can be a hassle to replace it. " October 14, 2024 2.0 I'm logging tickets with GO1 almost every 2-4 weeks. Easily the software that I've logged tickets with the most. I'm told that this is the way things are - even though they inefficient. I'm also told that it's not GO1 fault. It is Employment Hero. Pros We use GO1 through its partnership with Employment Hero. GO1 is Employment Hero's integrated learning management platform. GO1 allows you to create your own learning modules which we used for our internal training. Cons The training that you create in GO1 be deleted! If you've made a mistake or created the wrong content you cannot delete it. You can only change the training title and content to one that you need. The system is very slow to respond, e.g. I delete an assignment (training assigned to a user), but the assignment remains despite multiple page refreshes and notifications from the system saying that assignment has been removed. The system also sends email notifications to a manager if their employee hasn't completed training but even though employees have done it, managers have still received them. Users also still have their training status show as assigned when they have in fact completed them. GO1 also doesn't let you update a user's email if it was used previously when they worked for another organisation. You can have to contact support to get this done. The craziest things is that to download reports into CSV, I was asked to learn how to convert JSON into Google Sheets. They gave me instructions from Github on how I need to do this! While you're creating content on certain pages, move your mouse a little bit and your page is lost - it's actually gets saved as draft. The system is not intuitive. If you want to create completion reports to see the completion status of multiple training modules, you'll need to get the IDs of those training modules and enter each of them into the filters of your search. Literally the biggest content library I think there is out there. If you've seen packaged courses anywhere, you can probably find it with in their content library. So that's amazing. Cons We tend to get frozen by the sheer volume of choices on each subject. Although some improvements can be done to remove existing barriers, it nevertheless is a pretty useful tool for organisations. It can be deployed quickly, is easy to use and offers a range of topics to get employees started with. Pros Go1 as a platform has a huge collection of courses and acts as a single central resource point for new as well as existing employees to take part in organisational trainings and skill enhancement courses. Cons Although it does act like a huge library of learning modules and courses, it still lacks deep analysis tools required for complex reporting for which other third party integrations have to be made. The resources are user frienldy and allows me to learn without involving my lead. I love the fact we did not have to do a companywide training for our employee group and everyone has accessed the system and using it without training. Pros The transition to the portal was easy. Great support from my transitional lead and the support team Cons Would like to get an alert when there is a system problem and also be notified when it is fixed. I recently had the system go down and was not aware of it until my employee group made me aware. I contacted by lead who escalated it but was not made aware when it has been fixed. I checked on my own. The administrator should be keep aware of any outage's and when the issue has been resolved. It was hard to schedule times for initial presentations, maybe because business is good. Did well at holding our hands it import content into our existing LMS. Pros Large selection of classes and ease of searching for pretty much anything the students want to see. Cons Maybe too much of a selection.
