### "Canvas Is The Best!"

March 19, 2026

5.0

Overall, I have enjoyed using Canvas! I have interacted with the platform as instructor, TA, and student and each experience has been good.

Pros

Canvas is a user friendly platform for both instructors and students. It has a wide variety of ways to present and engage with educational materials, and is easy to transfer courses from year to year or even instructor to instructor.

Cons

Canvas is a bit of a heavy lift to get set up at first. Configuring the class modules and adapting for different educational needs (grad vs. undergrad; online vs. in-person) can be time consuming.

### "Very Positive Experience with Canvas "

April 30, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with Canvas has been very positive. It was easy to use throughout my entire college experience.

Pros

I like how Canvas is organized. I'm able to see all of my classes and prioritized assignments and projects on the home page. I like how Canvas also allows for real time communication with my professors and my classmates, so we can work on assignments and projects together.

Cons

Honestly, I don't really have any complaints about Canvas as a whole. It's organized in the way that I like and understand so there is not much to complain about personally.

### "User interface has space for improvement"

February 9, 2026

3.0

I see most schools use tit, unfortunately it seems outdated and again biggest issue is it's poor user interface.

Pros

Used it for school, one stop shop, all calls content was there, power points, tests, quiz, exams, eventual grading

Cons

User interface is quirly and hard to follow, seems to to be standardized, not sure if it was a problem by each Professor or simply the platform itself. Documents not always easy to find, uploading assignments was always an issue, had to submit emails to Professors as backups to ensure we'd be graded.

### "A learning platform that helped me rebuild my career in Canada"

July 1, 2026

5.0

Canvas became an important part of my journey after I moved from India to Canada. As a physiotherapist preparing to continue my profession in a new country, I had to complete online courses and spend many hours studying. Canvas kept everything in one place, including lecture notes, assignments, announcements, and course materials, so I never felt lost. I often studied after work and sometimes late at night, and being able to open Canvas on my phone or laptop made learning much more flexible. It helped me stay organized and focused during a challenging period when I was adapting to a new education system and preparing for my future career.

Pros

What I appreciated most about Canvas was that it made online learning feel simple and organized. I could easily keep track of assignment deadlines, review lecture materials whenever I needed, and communicate with instructors and classmates. During my exam preparation, I didn't have to worry about searching through emails or different websites because everything was available in one place. It gave me confidence that I wasn't missing important updates and allowed me to concentrate on learning instead of managing files.

Cons

At the beginning, it took me some time to become familiar with all the features because I had never used a learning management system like Canvas before. Occasionally, pages loaded slowly if my internet connection was weak, and receiving many notifications at once could feel overwhelming. Once I became comfortable with the platform, however, these became only minor issues and did not affect my overall learning experience.

### "Canvas - The Versatility LMS"

November 17, 2025

5.0

Overall, within the education field, canvas was a huge improvement from previous albums that I've used. Their versatility, the tracking, and the ability to organize your courses were simplified and very easy to do. It didn't feel clunky, it was very clean, and the user end had a positive experience and as a creator, I also shared that experience as well.

Pros

Canvas is an extremely versatile LMS because of its capabilities to host and create different files. What I like most about canvas is the ability to create pages that allowed you to link items from various resources. As long as that link stays stable, the user would be able to open and access that link. I also liked canvases capability to track several things about my users which include log in time, how long they were logged in, and if there were any required items to complete for assignments to complete, it would be able to track their progress and score which was essential for record keeping.

Cons

The main thing that I liked least about canvas was the creation of pages because it did require knowledge of coding in order to make the page appear and look the way you wanted it to. Thankfully I do have experience with coding so I was able to set up the page to look and function as I wanted it to. However, for some of my colleagues, they did have a harder time with that because of their lack of knowledge of coding and they were unable to achieve the kind of look that they wanted to do.

### "Canvas is Amazing!"

November 7, 2025

5.0

My overall experience with Canvas has been amazing! I truly don't have any complaints for Canvas. The system automatically grades assignments (unless the instructor changes the settings for manual grading). All my messages to my instructors get sent and I never had an email be sent back through Canvas.

Pros

The main aspect I enjoy about Canvas is the ease of understanding the system. It took me an average of thirty-minutes to understand the layout of the system. I enjoy that I can email my instructors from the software instead of opening another tab for the email website. Plus, each course has its own link so the classes are nicely organized.

Cons

I can't think of a single aspect that I don't like about Canvas. My institution used a different platform (forgot the name) but it is MUCH easier to navigate Canvas. The other platform that was used in the past, had too many updates which would lock people out of the system.

### "A Reliable and Organized LMS for the Classroom"

February 19, 2026

4.0

We use Canvas as our primary learning management system. It has been a very strong platform for both teachers and students.

Pros

Canvas allows classroom content to be extremely organized. Assignments, announcements, quizzes, and grades can all be housed in one place, which helps streamline communication and keeps students on track. The ability to schedule content and structure courses into clear modules has made it much easier to manage pacing throughout the semester.

Cons

I have ran into issues with quizzes transferring from one course to another, especially from one school year to another. It turned out our quizzes were somehow housed on a different server than everything else. This issue took almost 3 years to resolve.

### "Canvas Works Like Magic!"

December 12, 2025

5.0

Canvas is an excellent Learning management system, user-friendly and Use it heavily in designing courses and integrating different learning tools. Our faculty like it very much.

Pros

Canvas is a learning management system that is user-friendly with a graphic interface easy to navigate. It can seamlessly integrate different types of learning and has multiple templates that help new users to design assignments, quizzes, and discussion questions.

Cons

The Canvas gradebook tool can be a bit complex and intimidating for new instructors. The HTML feature of Canvas is not robust enough for the designer who wants tobe more creative.

### "Canvas is Better than Blackboard "

June 27, 2025

5.0

I’ve been using Canvas for about 5 years, both as a teacher and as an Executive Director of a non-profit. Even though it’s obviously specifically for schools, it really has great features you can use for all kinds of projects.

Pros

It’s incredibly user-friendly and their support service is great. You can do everything from quizzes to links to full lesson plans on Canvas, and there are a ton of add-ons to make lessons more engaging and easy to use.

Cons

I seriously have nothing bad to say about Canvas. It integrates with seemingly everything and I use it for everything from classes to clubs.

### "Great for Schools!"

March 23, 2026

Overall, my experience is great. The pros greatly outweigh the cons of the platform and i definitely recommend using Canvas.

Pros

Canvas was awesome for our school. I have used it for 8+ years and it was incredibly helpful to both students and teachers. Assignment tracking, scoring, collaborating, and grading are all great features of Canvas.

Cons

When a student may want to review feedback on an assignment, sometimes depending on what device they're using, the feedback is hard to view.

### "Canvas Review"

June 25, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with Canvas has been very positive throughout my academic studies. The platform has helped me manage assignments, access course materials, communicate with instructors, participate in discussions, and track grades efficiently. Its user-friendly interface and centralized course management tools make it easy to stay organized and meet deadlines. Overall, Canvas is a reliable and effective learning management system for students and educators.

Pros

Canvas provides an intuitive and organized learning platform that makes managing courses, assignments, grades, and communication very convenient. The dashboard is easy to navigate, and all course materials, announcements, and deadlines are accessible in one place. Features such as assignment submissions, discussion boards, notifications, and mobile access help students stay engaged and organized. The integration with external tools and collaboration features also enhances the learning experience.

Cons

Some features can vary depending on how individual institutions configure the platform, which may occasionally create inconsistencies between courses. The mobile app may not always provide the same functionality as the desktop version, and notifications can sometimes become overwhelming if many courses are active simultaneously.

### "I am surprised by how well this is going"

January 13, 2026

5.0

My website search visibility is now finally up. So I am happy we are no longer invisible on the web. I do not want to have to go into the nitty gritty details of marketing since I do not know anything about marketing. They actually answer the phone when I call which is more than I can say for our last agency.

Pros

I am writing this as my laptop is literally burning my legs and the fan sounds like it is going to scream itself hoarse, so I am writing this quickly. \[sensitive content hidden\] were able to somehow get the SEO stuff going, I am relieved I do not have to tell them about my business ten thousand times. The reports are showing up in my email and I do not have to worry about them which is perfect for me.

Cons

The development work (coding) took forever and moved much slower then I would have liked. That chocolate chip cookie they sent for holiday was a 6/10 at best and extremely dry compared to the other cookies. Communicating with the offshore people was a challenge due to all the different time zones.

### "Best in the business - all-encompassing LMS"

June 20, 2025

4.0

The best LMS tool I have used. As a teacher it was indispensable and very nifty with the amount of integrations, automations, and customization available. As a student, Canvas was easy to use, navigate and understand. I found it to be very functional and easy to upload my submissions using traditional file upload and Google Drive Sync.

Pros

Canvas was excellent as a student and as a teacher. The process of adding courses, assignments, learning objects, and embedded links was easy and satisfying. My school used Canvas as their primary hub for learning and external sourcing and it worked really well. Grades were easy to enter. Reviewing student submissions and adding comments was seamless. Our integration with Google Suite was a little tricky at times, but once you got the hang of it -- it was critical to our success. Overall, very happy with my experience using this platform.

Cons

I cannot really think of an overt negative feature of this program. There were of course bugs and concerning overlays, but for the majority of my time using it .. it was great.

Pros

It does the job. You're able to click between courses and see a calendar and due dates for everything.

Cons

### "Highly Recommend using Canvas for your Classes"

June 11, 2025

5.0

Pros

I love that Canvas is customizable. You can organize your classes in a list or card format, you can change the colors and there are even websites that allow for further customizations. I love that you can toggle your grade on your classes and that you can easily view your to-do list and upcoming assignments. I love that you can clearly see your inbox and the overall layout of your canvas profile.

Cons

I don't always love the notification system and I wish there was more customization with that. For example I'd love to be notified when my grade gets entered but not so much when my teacher is editing canvas and assignments and now I have 20 notifications about updates for that class. Yes, it is nice but not always necessary. I also had a hard time when using Canvas on my mobile device. I had a harder time navigating assignments and sometimes I couldn't access things properly like I could on my desktop.

Great! It is easy to use, and it is very helpful for keeping track of assignments, watching online video lectures, and downloading resources.

Pros

I love Canvas! I've used it in college and in graduate school. Everything is organized and easy to access. It makes tracking assignments and grades across multiple classes easy and organized.

Cons

### "Seamless Teaching Experience with Canvas"

March 19, 2025

5.0

There is only one word to describe my overall experience with Canvas: Excellent. No more Excel sheets to track grades, no more complaints about missing announcements, seamless cloud synchronization, and a centralized learning system.

Pros

As someone actively involved in teaching, I really appreciate the clean interface and ease of use of Canvas. Whether it's organizing course materials, setting up assignments or quizzes, or making announcements, everything is streamlined and efficient. Additional features like cloud synchronization, discussion boards, and video embedding are incredibly helpful from both the instructor's and students' perspectives. One of the most lifesaver features of CANVAS is SpeedGrader. It allows me to quickly review submissions, leave comments, and provide detailed feedback, making the entire grading process hassle-free and efficient.

Cons

A common frustration with Canvas is its notification system. While it does notify students in the announcement section, the notification is small and easy to miss. Another minor inconvenience is that although SpeedGrader is a lifesaver, it tends to lag when handling larger class sizes. These are the only minor inconveniences that I least like about Canvas.

### "All in one great platform!"

March 2, 2025

5.0

As a graduate student who frequently uses Canvas, the platform serves as a centralized hub where I can access course materials, submit assignments, communicate with instructors, and track my progress—all in one place.

Pros

It is easy to navigate and intuitive to find course materials, assignments, and grades.

Cons

The discussion board feature—though functional—feels somewhat outdated compared to modern communication tools. A more intuitive and interactive design could enhance engagement among our students.
