You’re able to thoroughly manage your courses and navigate easily Pros Great way to collaborate with students and manage student courses. It’s also really great value for money. Cons Sometimes there are bug issues that tend to take a bit to resolve, but customer support is great! The Ease of Use makes it simple to manage my academic work, while Student Course Management and Course Management help keep assignments, grades, deadlines, announcements, and course materials organized. Team Collaboration is helpful when working with classmates on group assignments. Although I have encountered some minor Bugs and Issues, they have not significantly affected my experience. I have limited direct experience with Customer Support, but the platform itself has been reliable. Considering the features available to students, I think Canvas offers good Value for Money and is a convenient platform for managing coursework. Pros Ease of Use: Canvas is very easy to use and provides a simple interface for managing coursework, assignments, grades, announcements, and course materials. Student Course Management is one of the most useful parts of Canvas because it helps me keep track of assignments, deadlines, grades, and course materials across my classes. Course Management is also convenient because instructors can organize modules, assignments, announcements, and other learning materials in one place. Team Collaboration is useful for group projects because students can work together and share course-related information. Overall, Canvas provides good Value for Money for students because it combines many academic tools into one platform. Cons The main Bugs and Issues I have experienced are occasional pages not loading correctly, minor interface issues, or notifications becoming overwhelming when I have several courses active at the same time. Customer Support is an area I have limited experience with because I have not needed to contact support very often. It works best when instructors organize their course consistently. When they do not, finding materials, instructions, grades, or deadlines can become confusing and time-consuming. Pros I like having assignments, grades, course materials, announcements, and due dates available in one place. When a course is organized well, Canvas makes it much easier to keep track of what needs to be completed and what is coming up. Cons My biggest issue is that the experience can vary a lot depending on how each instructor sets up the course. Important information can be spread across modules, announcements, assignments, and files, which sometimes makes it harder than it should be to find exactly what I need. I also like that submitting assignments is simple and I can easily go back and review feedback from my instructors. Cons Sometimes it can be difficult to find certain assignments or course materials depending on how the instructor organizes the class. The mobile version can also be a little confusing compared to using Canvas on a computer. Courses are easily manageable and I can navigate without any issues. Team collaboration is also very simple to use. Cons I honestly have not run into any issues with Canvas. There has been the occasional bug issue here and there, but nothing major enough to interrupt my flow. That is a relief since I normally have trouble remembering to do it myself. Pros Canvas for creating courses is mostly okay I suppose. I was expecting it would collapse under extreme stress. At least the grade book seems to retain some sort of record instead of occasionally wiping out random entries. Cons I am so tired of getting a bunch of unnecessary CSV files dumped into my lap instead of being given usable reports. What an irritation I also hate the fact that you cannot change the background colors. And there are too many click-throughs before reaching the Discussion Boards and then students will say that the whole system is clunky.
