### "Canva is a game changer"

April 20, 2023

Satisfactory

Pros

Canva is a game changer for people who dont know how to code.it is a hybrid of creative graphics softwares and a web authoring application. It surprising out performs major more expensive products in it simplicity and layout.Canvas is fun to learn. I was surprised to see my secretary was able to design a food application with Canva. We had thought she was no use at using web related programs.

Cons

Well, although, i do not expect Canva to be everything to everyone, the web publishing tools to react and related applications should be examined for bugs that impacts canva while testing or deploying applications

### "Are theree features you feel are missing or could be improved? Are there aspectes of the product th"

4.0

As an avid user of Canvas, I must say that my overall experience has been nothing short of impressive. The system has made my online learning journey superb and smooth, allowing me to learn effectively and efficiently from anywhere.

Pros

Canvas is a remarkable online learning management system that facilitates collaboration and communication among students, which is crucial in any online learning environment. The collaboration and communication features are the most impactful, allowing students to share ideas and work on group projects seamlessly. The mobile access feature is also helpful, making it easier to stay connected and engaged with the course content. The assessment and grading tools are user-friendly and customizable, allowing instructors to create a variety of assessment types, saving them a lot of time and effort. The product is easy to use and very customizable, with an intuitive and straightforward interface. Finally, the integration with Microsoft Teams is seamless, making it easy to incorporate Canvas into existing business processes.

Cons

As a user of Canvas, I have found the platform to be a comprehensive and intuitive online learning management system. While I do not feel that there are any significant missing features or areas that need improvement, one aspect where I think Canvas could do better is by making the mobile app available offline. This would enable students to access course materials and assignments even when they are not connected to the internet, which would be particularly useful for those who have limited connectivity.

### "Perfect for online schooling. "

April 24, 2023

My experience was great with Canvas. It was a great way of learning and made the social part of school fun!

Pros

I love how it's easy to use and such a breeze to go through all your classes and assignments with also being very organized!

Cons

I can't really think of anything I disliked about Canvas. I've used a couple others through Penn Foster and Everett so I believe this one was by far the easiest to use.

I've been using it since college, and it really has helped me with many type of different projects. For someone with no experience with design software, it is a lifesaving app

Pros

it offers a user-friendly interface, a wide range of tools for creativity, seamless collaboration features, and accessibility across various devices

Cons

It may lack advance features compare to other professional design software (not a problem for me tho). Also, offline version is not available.

### "Canvas is a teacher during asynchronous times of teaching & learning"

August 7, 2023

5.0

It includes a powerful system for creating and grading assignments. Setting deadlines, including rubrics, and providing thorough instructions. The SpeedGrader tool streamlines the grading process by allowing professors to quickly annotate entries and provide feedback. Canvas also supports a range of evaluation modes, including quizzes, surveys, and peer reviews. I feel more in control during briefing session with students, I depend a lot on Canvas during teaching. Helps a lot in brining parity in big education teams.

Pros

I can easily organise course content, upload files, embed multimedia, and create modules for structured learning. The drag-and-drop functionality makes it convenient to rearrange elements within the course, ensuring a seamless learning journey for students. The best thing I find in this is that Canvas provides various communication tools, including announcements, discussions, and messaging. These features facilitate interaction between me and my students, fostering engagement and participation. Even during asynchronous times, my students are still connected to their classrooms.

Cons

Interface could be more seamless for a beginner. But now that I have used it so many times, it is not longer any problem.

### "Empowering Learning with a Cutting-Edge Platform"

April 17, 2023

One of the standout features of Canvas is its robust grading and feedback system. I can easily create rubrics, provide feedback on assignments, and grade student work with speed and accuracy. The platform also offers plagiarism detection tools, which help me ensure academic integrity in my assessments.Another aspect of Canvas that I find immensely valuable is its analytics and reporting capabilities. The platform provides detailed insights into student performance, engagement, and participation, allowing me to identify areas where students may need additional support and tailor my teaching accordingly.Canvas also offers seamless integration with other learning tools and services, making it a comprehensive and versatile platform. I can integrate third-party apps, such as Google Drive and Zoom, to enhance my teaching and provide a seamless learning experience for my students.Canvas by Instructure has been a game-changer in my teaching practice. Its user-friendly interface, customization options, communication features, robust grading and feedback system, analytics and reporting capabilities, integration with other learning tools, and exceptional support and training make it a top-notch learning management system. I highly recommend Canvas to educators who are looking for a cutting-edge platform to empower their teaching and enhance the learning experience for their students.

Pros

As an educator, I am always on the lookout for innovative and effective tools to enhance my teaching and make the learning experience more engaging for my students. I recently started using Canvas by Instructure, and I am thrilled to say that it has exceeded my expectations in every way.One of the things that has impressed me the most about Canvas is its user-friendly interface. Navigating through the platform is a breeze, and the intuitive design makes it easy for both teachers and students to find what they need quickly. The dashboard provides a comprehensive overview of all my courses, assignments, and announcements, allowing me to manage my classes efficiently and stay organized. The customization options in Canvas are outstanding. I can easily create and customize course modules, assignments, and quizzes to suit the unique needs of my students. The platform also offers a wide range of multimedia options, allowing me to incorporate videos, images, and interactive content into my lessons to make them more engaging and dynamic. The communication features in Canvas are top-notch. I can send announcements, messages, and notifications to my students, facilitating seamless communication and keeping them informed about important updates and deadlines. The discussion boards are also a fantastic tool for fostering collaborative learning and facilitating peer-to-peer interactions.

Cons

While Canvas is known for its user-friendly interface, some users, especially those who are less tech-savvy, may find it challenging to learn initially. It may take some time and effort to familiarize oneself with all the features and functionalities of the platform, especially for those who are new to learning management systems (LMS). Although Canvas has a mobile app, some users may find that the mobile version has limitations compared to the desktop version. Certain features, such as complex grading or content creation, may be more challenging or limited on mobile devices, which could impact the ability to manage courses effectively on the go.

### "Canvas Review"

April 21, 2023

I use it consistently for my profession, it makes it much simpler and saves a ton of time

Pros

An electronic clinical records arrangement focused on care conveyance organizations, Material has one of the most straightforward to-redo UI for engineers. They give itemized documentation and a Programming interface so you can assemble your own custom work processes and incorporate them into existing stacks. Enrollment for the preliminary is speedy and straightforward.

Cons

Clinicians who maintain that a pre-constructed arrangement should make them ready might require to assist with Material. It's most certainly not a no-code EMR stage. Material is as yet youthful, so it's being resolved how well it will coordinate with heritage frameworks executed in most consideration conveyance organizations.

### "Canvas"

July 20, 2021

5.0

Overall, a functional management system. Helps me design courses and students seem to be able to naviagte.

Pros

1\. hands-down, the easy integration with G-suite. Can imbed files and modify the docs. That way you don't have to re-create or edit assignments, instructions, etc. in Canvas every time. 2. Gradebook is easy to use and has useful functions with assignment weight, categories, etc. 3. Calendar function and checklist is helpful for students. You need to "train" them where to look, but it ends up being fairly intuitive for them.

Cons

Often glitchy. Particularly in the gradebook. If you import something over from previous years, sometimes shows up as "missing" for students. And the time-stamping of assignments is a pain for different classes. Wish there was some way to standardize so I didn't have to do it every time.

### "Amazing web-based learning management system for educators and learners"

November 16, 2023

5.0

Canvas is generally a very good LMS that can be very helpful to both educators and learners. You get everything you would have gotten from a physical classroom, and it's more convenient.

Pros

It has an intuitive and user-friendly interface, making it easy for learners to navigate and access course materials.

Cons

While Canvas has discussion board features, some users find them to be less robust compared to standalone discussion board platforms.

### "Flexible and comprehensive LMS"

July 5, 2022

4.0

Pros

Aesthetically pleasing design. May take some time to adjust switching from other LMS software. Content creation and organisation of learning material is dependent on the course author and, when done well, provides a fantastic learning experience for students. Can eliminate the need for external messaging apps or emails as in built alerts and notifications keep you up to date on current and upcoming tasks, feedback and grades.

Cons

Navigation is confusing at times. Finding the page you need may require going through multiple pages to get to. Classroom groups work well, however messaging needs to be updated to provide more interactive and engaging features for students. More often than not, students are directed to external software for chat, file sharing and meetings. Timers for tests and quizzes and the tool indicating how many questions remaining should remain on screen at all times and not require the test taker to scroll up to check.

### "Canvas Review"

September 1, 2022

5.0

Being a university student I didn't have the full scope of Canvas from the uploading perspective but it allowed me to look at whatever was submitted for our review, download files, check grades and upload homework. As far as a virtual classroom goes this was a slick and useful program in academia with no hassle involved.

Pros

The software experience was as a student in college or university as opposed to a teacher. From my end everything worked seamlessly to give us classroom assignments to do at home. We could turn in documents and essays and even do online testing. I was always able to navigate the Canvas portal and from what I understood my teachers had little stress in uploading work for us.

Cons

There wasn;t anything I'd call a major problem with Canvas. Obviously it will have some features beat out by more commonplace methods, such as email instead of an internal messaging system.

### "Canvas is an intuitive and dependable learning management system "

March 31, 2022

5.0

When we're developing new tools and products, we generally tend to begin with Canvas because the interface and integration capabilities allow us to focus on the tools and products themselves instead of worrying about whether or not they're compatible with Canvas. It's then also easier to port the products and tools over to the other LMS platforms since Canvas requires little to no platform-specific modifications or settings.

Pros

I love the user interface of Canvas! It's clean and intuitive and I can always find what I'm looking for. Also, the universal compatibility of Canvas in general is a great feature! When we're developing tools and content for Canvas, we rarely need to make Canvas-specific modifications to the resources and tools. The other learning management system platforms are generally not as easy to work with as Canvas.

Cons

My company currently uses some of Canvas's APIs when integrating our digital products. Some of the APIs could contain more robust features and options. While there are some shortcomings with their APIs, Canvas's APIs are still better than the APIs found in the other learning management system platforms.

### "CANVAS to Learn"

July 6, 2021

4.0

CANVAS is superior to blackboard, even though we could argument blackboard is more complete, it is "0" user friendly therefore as a student it is hard to get the best out of the software. Thanks to CANVAS´ simple approach it is very easy to navigate once you had 2 or 3 courses and you can easily find what you are looking for. I sincerely recommend CANVAS.

Pros

Very user-friendly interface, easy to find what you are looking for with clear icons and titles being displayed. For general areas such as courses, dashboard and calendar they are easy to use, and you can even add reminders to your calendar besides those posted by teachers.

Cons

Sometimes, once you are inside a class within the software it may vary drastically from teacher to teacher. The software allows for customization therefore it can cause confusion for students for there is not only 1 format to visualize the classes.

### "CANVAS offers us the opportunity to acquire its services through trials."

October 7, 2022

5.0

CANVAS is one of the main programs that we put on to increase education and knowledge of the area with the staff of the company, thanks to the ease and good interface that this program has, it allows us to provide you with an adequate master's degree and impart the most relevant information of the company. which will be of great help for future activities, CANVAS offers us the opportunity to acquire its services through trials and free versions, thanks to this platform we can use them at all times and expose our content through methods and activities on the web that It will be very helpful, in order to speed up with these tests the learning of the work methodology and how to achieve profit for the company.

Pros

This platform provides the best tools to expose information and constantly train our support staff, it is these students who benefit from the easy integration of CANVAS that allows them to understand much of the information guide that we want to teach them, there are many benefits when you have a program that would train you with the new co-workers who request an opportunity to operate within the company, imparting the knowledge that could be reinforced thanks to the support of this program, I really like how practical and dynamic each one of the projects that are taught by this means, this with the aim of approving the student body to reinforce their skills in this area, CANVAS is undoubtedly one of the best spaces where it allows us to teach order and administrative efficiency when working and performing in our company.

Cons

This program may be a bit basic, this is because the tutorials and guides for its users may be very limited, having the opportunity to further expand its functions in other areas, that is, it may be a bit more versatile for the training of other types of more complex programs that require more practice and theory before implementing them in the company, the potential that this program has is very great, although it also does not have the integration of more common programs in the use of administrative offices, this can be a great point that play against them.

### "A student's review of CANVAS after four years"

April 29, 2022

4.0

Overall, I have had a good experience using CANVAS. It was crucial during 2020 and 2021 for online learning and it still serves a vital role for class resources and information, regardless of virtual or in-person learning.

Pros

The best things about CANVAS are the ability to receive information about the class as-needed and not just in class, the option to re-examine old classes, and serving as a source for homework assignments and class materials.

Cons

While CANVAS is a useful software, it is still clunky in some areas, particularly its test-taking software and class library page. Also, it's gradebook software will not reflect a student's actual grade if the class is weighted, which can be deceptive.

### "Build for teachers"

October 29, 2020

5.0

Canvas is, by their own admission, a feature-poor software with lots of customizable and additional opportunities to expand it. That is true. You need to learn how to use it, play nice with it, and it will play nice with you and with many other integratable softwares. Adapt to its quirks and you will be happy with it.

Pros

1) Easy to use as a teacher. Once you get the schema of how the software works and accept its ways and limitations, then you can really use it to your advantage within that framework. 2) Integration with other softwares. Canvas integrates with many other LTI providers, but everyone is slightly different, so you need to be willing to pay the price to learn how to integrate things carefully. 3) Speedgrader is nice. I've seen better ones in other LMSs, but Canvas Spreedgrader is pretty good. 4) Training and support. You can find, if you search carefully, tons of training resources for Canvas.

Cons

1) It's easy to create things that clutter your course, system almost without knowing. 2) The assessment engine is quite limited. The new quiz engine is still too buggy to use and has been way overdue. 3) I hate that there is not an autosave feature, specially when building quizzes. More than once, I accidentally save the quiz without saving the individual question and loose a ton of work. 4) It's almost impossible to find your grades across multiple courses. You have to go to each course individually and click several places at that.

Reason for choosing Canvas

Cost and capability to integrate with other softwares and we already had it.

### "Canvas helps my child’s education "

April 20, 2022

5.0

Overall my experience with canvas has been extremely well and my daughter feels the same. Canvas is a very good software to have if you want to be very involved in your child’s education.

Pros

What I like most about this software is being able to have hands-on knowledge about my child’s schooling and grades are and what assignments they may have missed. I love how it is given my daughter the ability to check her assignments to check her grades and it has helped her to be more aware and more responsible about getting her assignments completed.

Cons

Would I like least about the software is how the teachers are the only ones able to go in there and unlock assignments. There are some assignments that students need to complete in a certain amount of time I understand but sometimes the reason the class period was missed is out of the child’s control and I feel that the child should have the ability to unlock that assignment and at least complete it for maybe a lower grade.

Overall, I love Canvas more than Black board and I am glad most colleges switched.

Pros

I absolutely love Canvas. This is the best app for schooling. Everything is organized and self explained. You don’t even need anyone to explain how to use it because of how well the app is put together.

Cons

The app does have a lot outages but I believe it’s because of how many people use it at once but it does always get fixed quickly.

### "There’s a reason most Universities use Canvas"

March 4, 2022

Overall it’s been great. Its made my life easier which is the goal of these technologies.

Pros

The convenience of automating your semester. So assignments, files, notes, answer keys are all released on assigned dates. The software can keep all your setup so you don’t have to redo it for every class.

Cons

Support isn’t great. Especially for new creatures and updates the entire software goes down. It’s not usually too long but you know college students they work at the most random times and I’m still working on my policy for when canvas is down.

### "Dissatisfied and Frustrated College Student"

December 1, 2020

3.0

Overall, I'm not satisfied with my experience with Canvas. It's not the easiest to use. Something I would like to see is the Canvas website integrating with the Apple Watch or Google Calendar so I can stay up to date with my classes. Logging into Canvas is cumbersome since it's a 3-4 set process.

Pros

I like the sidebar the most since it doesn't take up a lot of space on the page and is clear about what it has.

Cons

If you don't download the app, you won't be notified of any missing assignment; it would be nice if it sent a notification to your email. For example, my class requires us to post on the discussion board but there is never a notification if someone has commented or replied to your post. The card view seems pointless to have since it's an extra and unnecessary step. I would prefer the list view to have the classes in different colors instead of different pictures with the same blue overlay.

July 15, 2022

5.0

So far, I have had a very pleasant experience with Canvas. There have been no major headaches or pains in my use of the software. It seems like everything was well thought out its development.

Pros

As a user, I enjoy the categorization within my class portals. When a teacher posts a PDF, I immediately know to go the Files section. I also enjoy the Zoom and Panopto Video features.

Cons

I think the “To Do” section could be improved. I would love to be able to edit or comment or even sync it to my regular IPhone calendar.
