### "Good product with limitations"

March 29, 2022

4.0

It has helped me extensively during the pandamic with connecting with my lecturers and allowing me to interact with my class mates as though i was at class in person. Learning continued with Canvas online during the lockdown and still continues, greatfully

Pros

The ease of being able to attend my lectures and webinars online, from anywhere with a wifi connection, makes it very attractive. I can submit online with ease and allowing me to store all my information in a single place is a big plus. My interaction with my lecturers has been seamless and offers a range of great features. Allowing me to store all the information on the Canvas platform, which makes my work a lot easier and saves time.

Cons

Not the most user friendly and I struggled to navigate on the platform. Video quality isnt the best at times(no, my wifi connection was just fine) but having said that , i would still recommend Canvas from my personal experience of having used it over a few years.

### "Canvas is great for online course management!"

May 5, 2022

5.0

Overall, I highly recommend canvas because it makes for a great interactive platform for both virtual and in person courses. You don't feel like you are missing class and can stay on top of all your tasks.

Pros

I absolutely love how easy it is to view and manage your courses on the dashboard once logged in. You can star all the courses you're currently taking, easily click and view the tasks or assignments needed to be completed. You can also set up a calendar with due dates to keep you on track.

Cons

The item I liked the least is the email mechanism in the platform. Sometimes notifications would not come through and I would prefer just using the university email platform.

### "Amazing platform for students learning virtually! "

November 18, 2021

5.0

I had great overall experience with CANVAS. It allows me to submit assignments with minimal effort, view all material from each course in an organized manner and view my grades easily. Canvas is also available as an application on a mobile device which is makes it extremely convenient to access.

Pros

Canvas is an extremely user friendly system for both educators and students. This interface allows students to manage all their courses under one platform that is highly organized. Each course is organized further with subsections such as files the teacher uploaded, modules that can describe weekly tasks and discussion sections for virtual class discussions. As a student, I really like feature it has where I can input hypothetical grades into assignments to see how it would effect my overall average in the class.

Cons

Although for the majority of the students this software is very easy to use, it can be difficult for teachers to set up the courses at first. For new users it may take some effort to figure out the exact functionality. Also, Canvas does not have lock down browser integrated into the platform. For students to use lock down browser they would need to download it separately.

### "Canvas -Excellent Software"

February 1, 2023

Canvas makes learning very easy going for me. I've been using this software for almost three years and so far, I've managed to master all my courses. It is effective and efficient for anyone who wishes to learn, teach, or study virtually. It's amazing.

Pros

Canvas is easy to use, accessible and provides all the learning tools I need to complete my online degree.

Cons

Canvas is perfect for me. I absolutely love it and find no challenges using it.

### "Great software."

June 13, 2022

5.0

I've taken about 6 courses on canvas ranging from com-sci to database management systems. They all were a smooth process and the customer service is pretty good.

Pros

I loved the easiness in using the software. Prior to pandemic, I have not taken many courses online but canvas showed me that the process can be quite easy.

Cons

There isn't much I didn't like about it. Maybe the prices since I was struggling in college but overall, the price was actually quite fair.

Helped me organize my classes since Texas A&M switched from ecampus to Canvas

Pros

More optimized for ease of use or integration of 3rd party apps. Great all around from instructors to students

Cons

Newer software that not all instructors know how to use, there is a small learning curve like most things but after that its great

### "my Lovely Apps, just like me love my self, and its easy and friendly APSS"

April 9, 2022

5.0

I use this canvas app every day. I found a lot of ease in operating it. and all data is perfectly organized. I am very happy, because there are so many variations of teaching and learning activities that I can apply. It also makes it easier for me to do teaching and learning. canvas also provides integration with other learning apps, and it's pretty amazing. what I like the most is that Synchronous activities can be done directly using the big blue button application

Pros

the most trustful Learning Management System. it is highly recommended to use canvas in your school. because you can find anything there. Canvas is fun. I use it for everyday teaching activities both synchronously and asynchronously. I found various conveniences in this LMS. so easy in collecting data at the end, especially the collection of final Grade of students.

Cons

I still have some error issue, especially on Quiz. in some point also when i use categorization it is still haven't have the partial grading for each mistakes, so i need to re open the result and re grading it.

### "Stable, easy to use, and performs like a champ!"

December 21, 2018

5.0

Canvas is the LMS used by my University. As an instructor, I have had the opportunity to use the softweare for about 5 years. I have also completed a degree in an online program using the tool. I have always found it to be very reliable; most challenges I have incountered have been user error and not often software error. There are many add ons to customize the software and it is pretty easy and straight forward in terms of user for both faculty and student.

Pros

Very stable and reliable. In 5 years of using the software, there are just a few times I can recall that there have been some downtime; and never more than a shot period. Canvas is a standard among universitites, and students are able to quickly learn how to use the tool and submit their coursework. They also have stellar support, 24/7. The challenges I have encourtered has been more in terms of o

Cons

There are some things that could be enganced in terms of features to make the tool even better. As Canvas is a large company, suggestions for new features goes to a board and the community votes and considerations are based on how much support from the community board. While a good way to reach people, I suspoect most people do not take the time to visit this board and read throyugh suggestions to make recomendations. Seems like they could get more info from user based focus groups who could lend insights on new features and enhancements.

### "Dissatisfied with the user-unfriendly quality of Canvas"

March 13, 2023

3.0

I have been able to assimilate some of the features from Canvas, but I feel like I am a day late and a dollar short.

Pros

I do NOT like Canvas. I can appreciate the features of syncing grades in Canvas to the gradebook, as well as a way to categorize things as formative and summative.

Cons

Canvas is INCREDIBLY WORDY. It has too many hoops to jump through to learn it easily, too large of a menu of options, and too many limitations for users to change or tweak those options. Canvas is NOT EYE APPEALING nor CATCHY to the reader, thereby making the software very DIFFICULT TO NAVIGATE. Students are more responsive to color-coded folders to find their options. We already compete with the business world as teachers to keep kids' attention as it is. My students are consistently LOST in Canvas, and if the truth were told, so is their teacher. In my previous district, we used Schoology. It has less reviews than Canvas, but that should not be a determining factor as to the software's effectiveness. Schoology allowed for color coded folders to be created by the teachers, and it could be designed according to theirs and their students' own creativity and design. Things could easily be dragged from one folder to another. s

### "\[CANVAS\] A virtual classroom for students and teachers"

February 5, 2022

5.0

Pros

Personally, the easiness of using Canvas, on top of their special features, makes it the best Learning Management System. Students can efficiently track the assignments they need to turn in with the Canvas Calendar and Dashboard. Aside from this, Canvas can even detect cheating during online examinations. Students and teachers can also message each other through the Canvas Inbox. All in all, Canvas is indeed a great LMS. It really is a virtual classroom for both the students and teachers.

Cons

Honestly speaking, I am pretty satisfied with what Canvas has to offer currently. But making the navigation easier for all users, either parents or students, or even the teachers themselves is something I would like them to improve if ever. With the amount of features Canvas has, it may seem difficult for new users to navigate through.

### "Canvas for Teachers"

March 16, 2022

5.0

It's extraordinary for instructors, coaches, distributers or anyone with any interest in making better approaches to learning. It helps structure your plan interaction and assists you with settling on the most ideal decisions route. We need everybody to have the option to utilize the Canvas and that is the reason offer it for nothing! Assuming you really want a little assistance with utilizing the material.

Pros

Advanced education instruments that play pleasantly with others. Rubrics. Modules. Schedules. Plans. Tests. Prospectuses. Investigation. Speed Grader! (Signal heavenly messengers singing.) Canvas has so many master bang includes that will add flair to your courses. Furthermore, we could go on and on about the combinations. The Canvas API pals straight up with apparatuses like Google Classroom, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Adobe, and many other innovation accomplices to convey one brought together learning center point.

Cons

Instructors are influential individuals doing significant, groundbreaking things. Material doesn't impede that-it simply makes those significant, Canvas is groundbreaking things more straightforward to do and simpler to share.

### "Perfect online tool for continuing your education"

November 6, 2023

4.0

I used Canvas to further my education as well as helping my son stay on task in his grade school classes. It isnt perfect but does to a great job of organizing and bringing as much in class feel as much as possible from an at home tool.

Pros

Canvas is a great online tool to further your education from anywhere you have computer access/wifi. It keeps any and all assignments/test in order and gives you scores quickly. It is also a quick way to reach out to teachers/administrators with questions or if issues arise.

Cons

Canvas does need a wifi connection and since no internet connection is perfect, a glitch in the wifi can cause you to be kicked out of an assignment/test and not allowed back in causing am instant downfall in your grade.

### "Canvas is worth it!"

Great experience! I’m even using Canvas at the Masters level.

Pros

I love the ease of use of Canvas. It is easy to navigate, easy to submit assignments, easy to email professors and others classmates, easy to access grades, class information, etc.

Cons

Nothing- I love the app and desktop version altogether. Love how I receive email notifications when grades are posted assignments are graded, emails are received, class announcements etc.

### "A great online platform for all educational needs"

September 16, 2019

5.0

Whenever I have used Canvas in a course with a professor who at least has a basic understanding of using computers, I have found that it is a very seamless incorporation into the class and is incredibly helpful from a student standpoint. I am always very happy when a teacher decides to really devote a lot of time to making their canvas page well-designed and makes it a necessary part of being in the class. I find that Canvas has aided my learning experience through my 5 years of an engineering degree and I'm very glad that it's been a tool that Colorado State University decided to utilize.

Pros

I have found Canvas to be incredibly helpful when it comes to managing my courses, being able to quickly look up assignments, and being able to track grades and calculate theoretical test scores to see how much time I should devote to studying. The system has been very reliable for my entire college experience and I have rarely run into any technical difficulties.

Cons

I have found that some of my professors who are not as tech-savvy have, at times, had a difficult time navigating Canvas and using it properly. This has affected me as a student because sometimes the Canvas page for a course may be almost completely empty because the professor didn't want to take the time to do it properly. This is an irritation because then I have no form of online grade checking and final grade calculations can be much less certain.

### "CANVAS- Learning Management System"

October 21, 2023

4.0

Pros

When learning how to use Canvas, the Student View feature is a very helpful practice tool that you can continue to use for managing your courses on a daily basis. You can preview and engage with your course using the tool much like a student would.

Cons

The Test Student cannot be enrolled into a course group or section, and Student View does not support testing through third-party platforms like Zoom and Panopto (those platforms are validated outside of Canvas, so they continue to view the Test Student as the teacher's main account). These are the two most notable limitations of Student View.

### "Good app for online learning or college classes"

November 20, 2020

4.0

Overall Blackboard isn't as bad as I thought it would be as and it may be because I haven't used it long enough as the previous software for the same purpose. But I really like the modern minimalistic design that has been employed by the software to remain competitive and to be visually appealing but the underlying problems of the courses not being able to port completely from the previous software may not be as appealing when wanting to switch to Canvas. the video and audio link integration could be better.

Pros

The Graphical user interface is pretty good and visually appealing and the color-coded course help differentiate it from other courses. timely updates to the participating courses are also helpful.

Cons

Ok, so the cons that I am experiencing may be because my classes on canvas were meant for a different platform but the problems I am facing make it much less fun to use canvas. some problems include the course not loading in fullscreen when opening it which makes it so hard to read the text in the modules that have been set up for learning. also when a module is completed the submit button doesn't work and my work isn't marked complete. also, I wish there was a seek bar for video and audio files that are included in the lesson plus a button to increase speed can also help as it can and will make the lectures more bearable.

### "Excellent platform"

CANVAS helped me a lot during the pandemic lockdown. It allowed me to continue with my classes without losing the good results.

Pros

CANVAS is without a doubt one of the best platforms for its purpose, it is one of the most modern and updated, and what I like the most is the integrity it has through all its functionalities.

Cons

What I like least is its scope, it is a great tool for education, which should be within everyone's reach, but I know that it does not depend 100% on the developers.

### "The future of online education"

April 15, 2023

4.0

I participated in a virtual training and Canvas was the software used. To be sincere, I learnt a lot, and that was because of some unique canvas' features. Canvas allows for peer grading, insertion of links to other educational materials, assignments submission and many more. These features made the course knowledge-filled, well structured and exceptional.I'm really glad that those who organized the course chose canvas for their learning management software.

Pros

(1) It allows for communication between tutor and students.(2) Tests can be organized on this software and depending on the type of tests, results can be seen immediately after the test.(3) Assignments can also be submitted on this software. It even allows students to grade other students ( peer grading),thereby reducing teacher's workload.(4) It has a calendar feature that shows me all I need to do each day.(5) Users can always revisit course materials even long after the training is over.(6) Short videos and links to other learning resources can be inserted in course materials.

Cons

Canvas is not fully compatible with mobile browsers. This does not make it convenient for its users, as they can not access this software whenever they are not with their computers. I sincerely hope that canvas developers look into this.

### "Canvas is the Best Online Learning Tool"

March 28, 2022

5.0

Somehow, the Canvas is the best online learning tool that I would recommend to my fellow learners as I have a good experience with it, and the easiest to access when it comes to the learning systems.

Pros

I've been using Canvas as our Online Learning Tool since the pandemic started and it's very easy to access. What I like the most about Canvas is that it notifies me when I have problems with my internet connection and regarding the time limit I have when I'm taking my exams. Also, it is convenient to use in a mobile phone which you can have anytime and anywhere most especially to those working students. The features are excellent wherein there is a dashboard where you can see all your courses and things you have to remember when there are schoolwork and announcements of the meeting. Moreover, it can detect whether there is an activity infringement in the outputs.

Cons

Canvas is very strict when it comes to checking the correct answers in the test and sometimes there is a difference in the time limit to the actual time. There are some tools in Canvas that are not really that important to use like the Cisco Webex since the quality is not that good when having an online meeting.

### "Clear Organization for Students"

June 17, 2022

5.0

Pros

I like that Canvas makes it easy for students to stay on top of their workload by clearly displaying due dates and allowing for the use of push notifications. The front page allows students to be reminded of quizzes and see messages and announcements from their teachers.

Cons

When teachers are not well-versed I the program, it makes it hard for students to use and also does not allow the program to reach its full potential as a learning tool.
