### "A Look Into Canvas - College Student's Experience"

November 8, 2024

5.0

I would describe my overall experience Canvas to be fine. It does what it's intended to do, and I don't have specific issues with it aside from the lack of a Dark Mode interface. Otherwise, I find the platform to work well for what it does.

Pros

I primarily liked the Canvas Calendar feature which allowed me to view my assignments and tasks from a Calendar view. Being able to add my own tasks to the Calendar was quite helpful as well. It allowed me to see all my due dates at a glance for each of my college classes.

Cons

I continue to find it particularly annoying that Canvas does not have a native Dark Mode built in. While there is a third-party Chrome extension to accomplish this, the same extension is note available for Safari. It would help users that use Canvas at night (or in the dark) to not be blinded by the white background.

### "This tool is excellent; it simply requires some assistance."

November 9, 2024

4.0

Once the errors were finally corrected, my experience has been ease of use and organized.

Pros

This program has a lot of potential to organize and allow for multiple modals of learning to be input. Like, the school district I teach in placed course curriculum in CANVAS along with my classes.

Cons

The program can be glitchy and confusing. At the beginning of the school year, I struggled trying to open the curriculum that was uploaded by the district personnel. I kept getting error messages. When they went in to figure out what had gone wrong, the CANVAS program had changed the settings.

### "CANVAS saved my schooling"

October 22, 2024

5.0

Overall, using any other schooling website is frustrating, and more painful than it needs to be. CANVAS is so easy to use, and straight forward.

Pros

CANVAS was so helpful, particularly in my online only college courses. I was able to obtain my master's degree all electronically through CANVAS.

Cons

Some teachers did not utilize the functions well, and their sites were lacking compared to others. I would prefer them to be more uniform.

### "Canvas is 10/10"

December 1, 2024

4.0

I've heard a lot of good things from both students and teachers about using Canvas. The only complaint is using it for quizzes and tests, but for assignments and announcements, it works really well due to its integrations.

Pros

Once you understand how to set it up, it is a very functional course management tool.

Cons

It requires a good amount of setup and understanding to customize it.

### "CANVAS A Reliable Learning Platform "

October 21, 2024

5.0

In general, I have quite a positive feeling towards Canvas. It offers a one-stop website where I can get all my coursework, including the assignments, lectures, and grades. Through conducting lectures, discussion boards, and, the messaging system, I also like the flexibility of interacting with the instructors and other students. Occasionally there can be problems with navigation, as well as a situation when one or another course is better structured than the other, overall, Canvas fosters a productive learning process. Features such as notification customization and tracking of deadlines have been particularly useful being the ones which have been exploited most by the author. In general, I can state that, with the help of Canvas, I do not have any problems with controlling my academic load.

Pros

My favorite Canvas feature is the structure it provides to a student by organizing all the course material in one place. It is user-friendly since it allows easy workflow of assignments, quizzes, and course materials without causing much clutter. I also love how it interconnects with other apps such as Google Drive and Zoom, and makes coordinated work easier. Notifications and reminders also help me remain current with dates/times and anything from my instructors.

Cons

It may take some more time to search for specific resources or assignments sometimes because of the inconsistency in the naming conventions observed from the instructors' side. Also, the problem with the speed of the platform may become acute at certain times of the day as the pages take time to load. The grade book can also be quite complex to understand when grading is done in various formats within different courses

### "An A+ software program "

September 30, 2024

5.0

I have always had a great time using Canvas. I used it for years when I was in college. I found that Canvas allowed me to submit assignments for class without any hassle. I have never had any problems with using Canvas.

Pros

I like how easy and accessible the software program is. I think it makes navigating a school course very simple. Canvas also allows student to easily view their grades and manage correspondence with their teachers.

Cons

One thing I did not like about Canvas is that you can not access it without internet. This limits the places that you can utilize the program. I also found that Canvas does not allow all types of files to be uploaded.

### "There is no question why Canvas is considered the best!"

September 25, 2024

5.0

I have used canvas not only as a student but also as an administrator and both experiences were exemplary. Administration is made very easy, but also navigating different classes and due dates as a student is so nice and all put into one convenient place with a very short learning curve needed for new users.

Pros

I have used several education management systems and in some aspects, they all are relatively similar, but canvas definitely takes the cake when it comes to ease-of-use.

Cons

Some of the customization features feel "hidden" but once you find them, customizing certain pages like the dashboard become something you will find yourself doing often because the customizability is definitely one of the best Canvas features.

### "Canvasing a PhD"

November 10, 2024

It has been great. I went back to school to get additional degrees and it has made the process straightforward. I really like the interconnectivity with the calendar and the ability to receive notification when grades have been posted.

Pros

I like that it is fairly easy to access from anywhere

Cons

The constant validations make it less user-friendly. I understand why it needs to be, but it would be nice to have an option to have a set devise that does not require weekly verification

### "Here's to hoping other schools and companies start using Canvas"

December 11, 2024

5.0

Overall, I love the set up of the platform. I hope more schools and training programs will use this instead of more complicated interfaces.

Pros

I really like the simplicity--reminds me of an Apple product.

Cons

Can get busy, but this is on me for not managing how many notifications I want (and for what things). Maybe there could be some automated link that pops up to cancel some notifications if we haven't clicked on them in a while.

### "Canvas Student Use"

October 29, 2024

4.0

Overall the experience with canvas is positive and probably the best software out now for its use.

Pros

Having the munu function available throughout all the pages makes the Canvas App a breeze to work with for wven a new user.

Cons

Not having a classes tab or grades tab for all classes makes the user have to go back to menu before going to a nw class. This adds extra steps and page loads. Redundant

### "Canvas The User Friendly Interface for Students & Universities "

September 27, 2024

5.0

I enjoyed using canvas. I had the app on my phone and the browser on my desktop. The interface was easy for me to navigate and it did a good job of email notifying me when tasks were due or if professors were sending out announcements.

Pros

I used both blackboard and canvas as a student. I found that canvas was far better at organizing my classes and easy to learn how to use. Its more colorful platform is easy on the eyes as well. I also found that the online testing/quizzing feature was super easy to get the grasp of.

Cons

I find that the only issue is that there is no personal customization tools to make the home feed meet my specific needs. If there was a way to highlight the classes that are challenging, organize the homework and tasks in the home page, and connect to my apple calendar (this was a feature I had trouble with) there would be no major cons.
