October 9, 2024 5.0 It is a great convenience in my life! easy to use, whilst also making all my information accessible within a few taps. I use it every day and it has made my life immeasurably easier. Would recommend canvas to anyone any day. Pros The interface is easy to use, and very visually appealing. I enjoy the way the app is structured as it makes information easy to access. I use it to manage my university courses, and so far I find that it updates quickly, does not tend to stall, and allows me to retrieve whatever I need with great ease. Cons I do sometimes dislike the fact that some features from my desktop do not transfer to the mobile app. I wish canvas had a desktop version because I would be using it all the time. Pros As a student it is important to have timetable and due dates accessible with a great colour coded format, canvas also makes it easy to communicate with other students and professors which is very important for students to access help when needed. It has a really good mobile app. Cons I don’t have many critiques of canvas. One thing that would be nice with the software would be to set up reminders for assignments and to snooze or mute notifications about due dates. It has truly gotten better over time with tweaks to the existing platform and more useful features added. Pros Some of my favorite features include: being able to calculate your final grade before your assignment grade has been graded with what you think you may earn on the assignment, the calendar format for viewing what assignments are coming up in the months ahead, the chronological module format, and most recently, using the app to set notifications to remind myself of upcoming deadlines. Cons I wish there was a feature where you could download the videos/audios of course lecture to listen offline. If this is already a feature, I'm not sure how to enable it. Pros I used CANVAS as a student. Learning resources were easy to find. It was easy to view markings and feedback from the teacher. Cons Everything was fine but in case of a deadline while submitting the assignment, if the submitted time would be considered instead of the uploaded time, it would be better. NOT user-friendly, SLOW, glitches often, customer support is non-existent, updates take forever and don’t address problems that should have priority, notifications are hit and miss, and more.
