### "Go-to Non Relational DB"

September 15, 2020

4.0

Decent alternative to SQL database. Works super well if your model doesn't depend heavily on relations.

Pros

\- Easy to use and get started with - Good documentation of the API - Official client libraries exist for popular programming languages - Large community and availability of tutorials to get up to speed

Cons

\- Doesn't work so well once you start having relationships in your model - The aggregation framework could be better - The free text search could also be better

### "the best nosql DB on the market"

February 2, 2019

5.0

Pros

it's for sure the best NoSQL DB on the market. It's powerful and there is a huge community that works with it. the cloud service, provided by MongoDB itself, it's really easy to use but powerful as well and it doesn't cost more than other service providers.

Cons

sometimes, if you decide to manage your cluster by yourself on your infrastructure, please pay attention to resources (RAM and Disk)

### "Easy and fast"

January 19, 2019

5.0

Pros

NoSQL is a necessity and MongoDb is providing that concrete bridge for you. Easy to set up, easy to configure, fast connections and easy error handling. It's a powerful DB which fulfills majority of your new in your small projects as well as enterprise level requirements.

Cons

The way we have workbench for MySQL, can we have somewhat better for MongoDB? Other than that, I see no cons yet.

### "One of the best NoSQL database"

September 27, 2019

5.0

Overall it is best database for supporting data from Internet of the things. Now data is coming in different formats and unstructured so MongoDB helps in that.

Pros

It supports to store JSON like documents in database. It supports NOSQL database programming. It has great features like load balancing , indexing, Capped collections and indexing etc. Best thing in MongoDB it is supports transactional database, and supports ACID.

Cons

I really don't have any negative side. But by nature MongoDB is NOSQL, So it is little complex than SQL supported database for data analysis.

Overall experience is good, Pricing for the product is fair enough.

Pros

MongoDB provides flexibility to use any kind of JSON data. It is highly reliable and offers unique scalability.

Cons

Even though MongoDB is a power tool, It is back-breaking to setup and the learning curve could be sharp.

### "Handle unstructured data in best way"

August 27, 2018

5.0

It behaves as primary storage medium for many of our projects. It easily distinguishes between the data formats which is feeded to it for us. It is very necessary for us for the huge unstructured data we have.

Pros

Great replication and performance on cloud as well as virtual machines. We use mongo db on all of our grids. Mongo db is very easy to get started because it has very flexible schema. We can easily replicate the databases and get out of box solutions for the database scripts everytime. We can handle large chunks of unstructured data with mongodb. It has great mapreduce functions to make the tasks easier.

Cons

There is nothing to dislike in mongo. I just want that the scripting languages could be made a little shorthand.

Highly scalable, free no sql database that i use in all my projects

Pros

Best performance, easy of ease, free and highly scalable, it has good ORM with Nodejs with mongoose, I use it in all my projects

Cons

There is no Joins like in other NoSQL database but thats understandable due to the technology limitations, they could release their own IDE like MYSQL does with mysql workbench

Overall I am extremely satisfied with MongoDB usage. It does its task flawlessly and a must have DB for a project which considers scalability of the DB.

Pros

What I like most about MongoDB is its scalability as a non relational database and its its really easy to use and implement in the projects. There are tons of resources to get to know and learn about it and also its free.

Cons

I have nothing to dislike about this awesome DB. There are challenges but they can be overcome with the strong community support.

### "Easy to use, deploy, and configure"

September 9, 2020

5.0

MongoDB is very stable and reliable, easy to scale if needed. Its deployment is just a click away. If you're looking for a NoSQL DB, MongoDB is a viable option.

Pros

MongoDB is free, performs really well, and it is easy to deploy and configure. There is a big support community, but the documentation is most of the time enough.

Cons

No issues so far. It was easy to deploy a couple of clicks and that is it. Even to configure access control, replication, and whatnot can be easily found in their documentation or on the internet.

### "Excelent"

November 15, 2018

5.0

In my company we use mongoDB as our database. We use mongo Cloud also.

Pros

A very good document type database. Very easy to create collections. And the good thing is we can change the collection structure any time.

Cons

When I try to write join queries, little bit hard to get some data compare with relational databases. And the like queries also little bit difficult to me. :P

### "Good database but not so good client"

February 7, 2021

5.0

A solid database that continues to get better, hopefully the client tool will get better as well.

Pros

The data structure that has no schema so adding new fields was painless and had minimal affect in terms of regressions at the DB level

Cons

The Compass client is very buggy and I found it hard to use. There is not command line option, so I can only add simply queries into the request.

### "Mongodb "

September 13, 2022

5.0

It can easily manage the heavy traffic flow for applications. High performance data persistence. Provides faster access to data

Pros

Data security and durability are guaranteed for mongodb running on a single machine. The insert is quite fast as it writes the data first to ram and then to disk in the background. The shard keys are used to determine how the data will be distributed.

Cons

In general, there is nothing that I think is missing. You can manage data very easily thanks to its technical support, advanced security and easy method.

### "Review- Mongo DB"

August 1, 2022

4.0

Pros

It provides the best and easiest possible facility to store the unstructured database. Data ingestion is easy in mongo because the query language is easy to understand. We use MongoDB as the main database for storing our data. Mongo accepts data in JSON format in the form of documents which makes it easy for a user to simply prepare a document and upload it.

Cons

There is no specific part that is least likely in Mongo. They should make the query analysis more feasible. If I get a complex mongo query with multiple join and I have to find a fault, in comparison with structured database like oracle or SQL, the query language doesn't seem very easy to read.

### "I used MongoDB recently for my web-application."

April 10, 2018

5.0

It helped me get my data on a NoSQL database in no time!

Pros

After using SQL databases for a long time, I decided to shift to NoSQL database systems. MongoDB defines NoSQL in the field of Computer Science, apart from being agile it offers innumerable benefits. I love the fact that I can change the table schema at my wish in any development stage and my code won't break. I like that it can be easily used from a Linux terminal, which makes the work-flow super smooth. This product is a must-have for all the newbie developers out there!

Cons

I think the company should add a few examples and video tutorials in the official documentation to give the newcomers a headstart.

Many projects where a no SQL DB was needed, I tried the certificate in 2016, but for personal issues couldn't finish it.

Pros

The easy implementation in J's, great documentation, and the certificate for different users makes it easier to focus and what role you in.

Cons

It would be easier if there was no need to include third party plugins to make the work easy.

### "Ideal for expanding enterprises"

October 24, 2022

5.0

Comparing Google to Blackboard and Canvas, the whole experience is less than ideal. I have never used an application with so little support.

Pros

It is very dependable, quick, and suitable for many different database systems. Additionally, querying is so quick that it practically matches SQL databases in speed. You may also aggregate data from the tables using its queries.

Cons

To make something helpful for certain individuals, you occasionally have to eliminate functionality. In order to do that, functionalities might be disabled.

### "a very good alternative to databases based on SQL language. easy to manage if you work with json"

July 9, 2018

5.0

new knowledge of database. and flexibility when creating a project

Pros

instead of using tables, documents are used in the binary representation of JSON, ie BSON What we normally call tables, are called collections and they do not have to have a structure, this allows you to create a relational database even if you do not have the same structure in the tables is based on one of the most solid programming languages, C ++ MongoDB comes with a console built in javascript and queries are made in that language, which is good because it is one of the easiest to learn. and allows you to define variables within the console itself allows to use plugin if we want to perform instructions in ruby or python Any application that needs to store semi-structured data can use MongoDB

Cons

I do not recommend it to start in the database. Many concepts must be clear before use The JOINS statement does not exist to consult related data. several inquiries must be made

### "MongoDB is the best solution for NoSQL database."

May 31, 2019

5.0

Overall MongoDB is the good choice for NoSQL database. It is basically document type database. It suits well in Javascript environment of NodeJS, Angular, React etc. where we can directly store and read objects from the framework. It is one of the component of MEAN stack.

Pros

Most of the features we can get it for free. It is very light weight and easy database. It has support with almost all popular programming languages. its performance is continuously improving with the newer versions. It is very easy to setup and use.

Cons

Sometimes it goes difficult to create JOIN like queries with MongoDB. They have provided the aggregation framework but it does not give ease and like SQL Join queries. It can crash in the production environment.
