A complete picture of my operation. The 'costing' system is awesome. If you know your breakeven point the costing system will show you instantly where you are financially.

Pros

1) Easy to use 2) Incredibly functional 3) Excellent Communication capabilities from the phone center to the invoicing. 4) Excellent customer support

Cons

Some things that should be part of the system are not getting updated. In particular I have been asking for a link on Mobile Crew to the Maintenance file so that Un billlable hours can be applied to equipment or any other item when the crew is not working.

I enjoyed using it for the 4 years I was at my previous company, where I now use Jobber. I enjoy Jobber as well, they both have features that I prefer.

Pros

Being able to see account history and who had been in an account. Being able to schedule line items by crew and see easily what has been completed/invoiced/rescheduled/etc.

Cons

Formatting of text for emails, messages, descriptions, etc. Not having most recent notes/communication on the main page of the customer account.

### "Good Software Ideas, Poor Support, and Promised Features That Were Not Ready"

Overall, I would not recommend Arborgold based on our experience. The software had potential, and the estimating portion was useful at times, but the poor support, slow response times, missing promised features, and integration problems made it a bad fit for our company. We are a 10-employee landscape company and were testing Arborgold to see if it was something we could move the rest of the company into. I was the only full seat, and we still spent around $8,000. Looking back, I am glad we did not move the entire company over. For a business, choosing the right CRM is extremely important. A CRM is supposed to help you operate better, not slow you down. For us, Arborgold slowed us down, created extra frustration, and did not deliver on key items we were told would be available.

Pros

The estimating side of Arborgold had a lot of potential and was probably the strongest part of the software for us. When it worked, it was helpful for putting together project estimates. The software itself was not the main problem — there are definitely good ideas built into it. The true standout was Josh, our trainer. He was fantastic, helpful, and probably the best experience we had with Arborgold overall.

Cons

The customer service and support were extremely frustrating. When we signed up, we were told there would be chemical tracking and state chemical compliance reporting available for our company. That was a major selling point for us. Six months later, we still did not have the report we needed for our state’s compliance requirements. We were eventually told it would cost $150 per hour to develop the report, even though Arborgold’s website mentions state chemical compliance in multiple places and we were told during the sales process that this feature would be available. After pushing back and sending over the original invoice and website language, it took another couple of months before we were told they would build it at no cost. By that point, we were about eight months in. Support emails often took weeks or months to get answered. We also had issues with their own website form submission code, and our team was able to fix it in-house faster than support could help us. Payment processing was also frustrating. Deposits could take about a week to a week and a half, payments did not always come in order, and sometimes payments were combined. I do not believe we had any missing payments, but the way deposits were handled made reconciliation harder than it needed to be. We also never got QuickBooks fully working. It said we were integrated, but when pushing information through, it would give an error. Chemical tracking ended up being done on paper, which defeated one of the biggest reasons we signed up. The software is expensive, especially for one seat. Adding additional full seats was going to cost several hundred dollars more, and the crew seats were cheaper but still an added cost. The mobile estimating app was usable, but not very enjoyable. Estimating also had bugs, such as crew and equipment hours needing to match when they should have been able to be different.

Pros

Pricing seems to be competitive compared to other systems. However it does create a lot of issues so it could be a case of getting what you pay for. The customer service is okay and tries to help but I feel the system limits them from finding solutions.

Cons

There are a lot of glitches. This happens when you are updating hours. There have been multiple times I had to input pricing and hours over 5 times until it finally registered. It is not the most user friendly system. Their measuring tool imagery is also not the most up to date and does not allow you to toggle to winter months to see under tree coverage.

The customer service is exceptional. They are all very helpful, just what you want in a software company. If you've ever had a bad experience with a software company, you know what I'm talking about!

Pros

The ability to use multi-day projects. The SCM is great, and this really helps with our inventory counts. The job costing is amazing.

Cons

We have a love/hate with the amount of updates, and new uses that they release. They seem to upgrade the program every couple of months.

After almost 3 months I never was fully functional. And they wanted to charge me more money on top of the three monthly payments I already made. And on top of the onboarding that I already paid.

Pros

Nothing except when I did a review on their Facebook page they blocked me. There is nothing to like after paying for 3 months of service and the onboarding fee I never was up and running. And they wanted to charge me more money. And there was no refund which is bs considering how much I paid and how little I got. We've actually hired a lawyer to draft a letter.

Cons

Before signing up, be aware that you’ll be charged the full monthly subscription fee—even during the setup period. I made three monthly payments, plus a setup fee, and still couldn’t use the software as it was presented during the Zoom sales meetings. Make sure you get written confirmation on whether all necessary forms are included. In my case, they eventually let me out of the contract due to dissatisfaction, but they refused to refund any money. Email responses were slow and inconsistent. I only received a timely reply after escalating my concerns up the corporate ladder. During onboarding, I completed all material uploads and created the entire list of services myself. I also built the full customer database in Excel to be uploaded by their team. If you decide to move forward, be sure to ask whether you’ll be charged monthly even if the software is not yet fully functional.

Pros

They definitely have focused on Tree and Landscape industries, and obviously do understand how those industries operate.

Cons

The list is too long, but a few major issues we've had: Emails (proposals and invoices) are only received by the client about 50% of the time. This is incredibly unprofessional, and we've lost tens of thousands of dollars due to proposals not being received. The program has a "popup" that says "email sent successfully" whether or not the email was sent, which is deceitful and misleading. If you do complain about this they will invariably place the blame on the email service they partner with, which is unacceptable.The core of their software was obviously designed over a decade ago, and is showing its age. No amount of facelifting or color scheme changes will change the fact that this program functions and feels like it was built before smartphones, and is basically unusable on mobile. The mobile version of their app has so few features it is basically useless. Essentially the only "feature" is composing proposals. Technically, you can schedule work on the mobile app, but to say that it is functional is comical. Each service must be scheduled individually; when a job has 25 services this can take 15-20 minutes. The program is extremely unstable, experiencing frequent crashes. In one instance I spent over 45 minutes composing a proposal, only for the program to crash and delete the entire proposal.

Terrible. Customer service is a joke. Emails almost never get answered. When they do answer, it is clear they don’t understand the question.

Pros

I don’t like anything about Arborgold. It is not user friendly, and most importantly, its chemical tracking is unacceptable.

Cons

Chemical tracking records does not meet expectations. You might need to use a separate software to track chemical logs so as to pass an audit from the department of agriculture. Software will trick you into thinking it tracks weather, but when you attempt to produce a report, the weather data is not available. What a disaster!

Pros

This product has changed the way we do business. It's helped us create a more professional look to our proposals, provides real-time information at the fingertips of the employees as they need it and is overall a very impressive software!

Cons

Not much, I would have liked for it to allow me to do my AP through it as well since I'm moving away from Quickbooks.

Easy to use, that means you don't have a hard learning curve. It can be adapt to any company size due to it's functionality, the customer service is brilliant, they will get back to you quickly and solving all your problems.

There are a few bugs, although when you report them they are usually sorted on the next update.

Since coming onboard with Arborgold 5 years ago, we have been able to streamline our proposal to work order to invoicing capabilty. Customers appreciate well laid out proposal, crew members have instant access to all jobs, notes, and pictures, and job completion and invoice tracking makes it easy to collect and keep track of the money.

Pros

The number of features avaible gives you great adaptability to your own methodology.

Cons

I still haven't figured out how to get it to lick stamps for me for my customers that don't have email!

Mostly I like how easy it was for me to learn. The customer support is always very helpful. Tonight I was stumped and went on the CHAT at 7:00 and got right on Customer service agent TeamViewer and not only solved my problem but helped me understand my problem going forward.

Cons

Sometimes there's little kinks or funky problems that occur, but it seems the folks at Arborgold are constantly updating and improving.

\-At the click of a button we can retrieve all customer data and know where they are in their sales and service cycle. No more redundant typing, saving and attaching of proposals and invoices because we click a button and they are sent directly to the customer. -AG's system analytics have helped us make solid business decisions based on any number of variables we can now track. For example, we now know our sales closing ratios, business peaks and valleys, we know to-the-penny what each form of advertising netted us, our salesmen access and create bids mobily and we can utilize AG for our marketing efforts as well. That's just scratching the surface. -AG's customer service is exemplary. Their team members are quite knowledgeable and are very responsive. At any given time I may have ongoing email conversations with various team specialists regarding a question I have, a decision I'm trying to make, an analytic I need, a request for software development, design help, etc. In addition to being able to call if I need something immediate, my favorite form of support in being able to submit a tech-ticket that allows my concern to be addressed by the expert on that subject. That is a tremendous strength. -We are most pleased with Arborgold, the software, and most especially, Arborgold the company. As we evolve, they evolve with us. That is very powerful in today's competitive business environment. I would like to publicly thank their team for serving us and making us look better than an office that's run by "Two Grandma's and a Computer!"

Better organization, more professional customer interaction, less headache dealing with various aspects of a job.

Pros

I love that it integrates with QuickBooks, handles scheduling, is available to estimators out in the field, and generally makes it much easier for us to stay on top of each stage of a job and each interaction with a customer. The reporting capabilities are fantastic! It's so helpful to know the dollar amounts of scheduled work (or unscheduled work or any other category that's useful). We haven't even begun to use all the available features and we're already so glad we made the decision to go with it. If you do run into any problems, the Arborgold team is easy to access and quick to help you resolve your issue.

Cons

I would say my least favorite thing is the learning curve. As it is a somewhat niche software, there's no way around having to spend some time learning how to use it. However, once your company is familiar with it you won't ever want to go back!

We've always used some sort of windows based system and often the updates are few and far between if they even come. There are many features of Arborgold that I really love and could go on and on about. The one thing that has made it really stand out above anything we've used though is the people behind it. If there is something wrong or something that doesn't work right you have someone you can talk to and often a solution coming quickly. There have also been several features I've asked for that they've implemented very quickly. It's like I'm the boss! Plus it's all cloud based. Access from anywhere, anytime! The only thing I'm really still looking forward to is the mobile estimator support for Android, but that's the cool thing. This is a very actively developed product, so I know it's coming.

Pros

Has great features like route optimization, crew scheduling and lets you track inventory. Their customer service is great.

Cons

The software, all in all, is very sluggish. Toggling through items on a page or shifting through pages was very testing for me.

The ability in which to go in and create an estimate and turn it into a work order is pretty effortless. Also, the ease of me being able to put in information and my crew's being able to retrieve that information from anywhere that they can get Internet reception is a good thing. The Arborgold system does enable me to have a lot of control to see what invoices are open, to operate remotely and literally to have the information that I need at the drop of a hat. I've been using it now for about a year and a half and I have referred them to multiple businesses.

This is my third year using Arborgold Cloud version. Everything from managing the customer phone call, bidding, scheduling, management, and marketing is included. The bidding and scheduling features help me manage the wide range of services our company offers - lawn care, landscaping and tree services. I use both the mobile estimator and the mobile crew apps too. They are always improving the product and the customer support is excellent.

Overall, the experience has been great. It's an easy program to learn and utilize exactly how you need it to work for you. Administratively I would recommend this product to other service providers.

Pros

Arborgold had many different functionalities that made day to day administrative tasks easier. Running reports to gather valuable information was a key benefit to this program.

Cons

The only con I have is that I wish it had more automated features such as email reminders to clients about upcoming appointments, invoices, etc.

We have had a great time with Arborgold. Not only does it help us work efficiently, it also has partners with other companies, that will give you a discount if you need their services. For example, we received a discount when setting up our collections service, because we use Arborgold.

Pros

The ease of writing proposals and sending invoices. I do a lot of field work and am in charge of writing proposals and billing, and if it wasn't so easy, I don't think I could do it all.

Cons

Arborgold has frequent updates, and as tree people it is hard for us to navigate a new software. Once we get the hang of it, it is alright, but there is always a steep learning curve after an update.

Gave Arbor about 5 years while the used my buisness to beta test their flawed software. Could not have been a bigger waste of time. Everything, every command, took multiple clicks, forever to refresh, just poor design and half the time I was on the phone with support for the same problems over and over again. It was very expensive and they were always changing it. again, get the product together before you sell it. Improvements were constantly promised but were never really delivered when you compare this to other programs. We don't have time to relearn everything every time you update. It is just a slow program. We switched to LMN and feel positively SAVED from Arbor Gold despair. Much more intuitive and speed and ease of use is incredible. And it does more! I gave way too much of my time to this inferior program.

Mary we're very sorry you weren't completely satisfied. Our records show that you came on board with us when we had our desktop installation Windows product, and then you migrated to Arborgold Cloud. Over the lifespan of your 5 year relationship with our products, we can see only six support tickets on file in the last two and a half years that you used Arborgold Cloud. None of the six support tickets were related to the speed of the cloud software. We do thank you for the 5 star rating on our support team. If they were made aware of any speed concerns they could have helped troubleshoot by running diagnostics tests. Low bandwidth, firewalls, internal networks, browsers etc can all impact speed performance. Again, we're sorry we couldn't have helped you troubleshoot your speed issue. We wish you the best that business growth can bring.
