Updating workflows is trivial! Can literally change verbiage or other properties of any step in the process on the fly (5 minutes) and have the changes go live instantly. Pros Endless possibilities limited only by an organization's desire to explore. This open source software requires very little technical knowledge to get started. Many options to host internally or externally. Cheap hosting option includes some support. Cons Web based workflow steps do not support going backwards (only moving forwards). It can be done, but is more difficulty than it is worth to implement backwards step function. Reasons for choosing Joget DX Cost and simplicity of Joget made it an easy decision. Bizagi is so incredibly complicated, requires extensive staff training, and requires a large initial cash investment. Bizagi is only suitable for very large corporations. The platform does not support BPMN 2.0 by design as the main focus is in simplifying app development. As such, the primary focus is ease of use and not in following process modeling notations such as BPMN. You can leverage the APM features to identify and troubleshoot issues. As plugins are developed in Java and use standard Java development practices e.g. using Apache Maven, plugins developers need to be familiar with Java development practices. Database columns can be changed directly in the database as required. However, the app design must take that into consideration e.g. does not attempt to store text into a numeric column. Cons As soon as we started looking at large complex processes we started running into difficulty maintaining the interaction of various sub-systems in these processes. Integration into some of our other databases and systems was also critical and joget's ability to easily allow integration and debugging of this integration caused us a lot of headache.
