Pros: It's really hard for me to find a Pro for the Kimbia product. I would have to say that the best thing I've experienced is that Dave is fairly helpful once he responds to our request for assistance. Often times, the response is delayed but once he gets back to us he's helpful.

Cons: I'm sorry to say that there are probably too many Cons to list. As a professional fundraiser tasked with raising funds using the Kimbia platform I feel like I've had to become a web developer in order to get the tools I need to be successful. Even now, I am highly doubtful that we'll be able to raise our needed funds because we use this product. From a professional fundraiser perspective, I really dislike the look of the fundraising pages. I also hate I have to pull 3 forms to get all of the fundraiser's info for 1 campaign. The user interface is extremely difficult to navigate so I spend a fair amount of time updating pages for fundraisers, I can't ask someone who is raising money for our organization to muddle through changing their pages. I also am VERY turned off that our organization has asked for more training in the product and the response from Kimbia was that we'd have to pay for it, in my opinion that shows a complete lack of customer service and an extreme disinterest from Kimbia on wanting our organization to be successful. I'd love to be able to switch to a superior P2P fundraising product and am hopeful we will be able to in the future.

I could go on and with greater detail to the Cons of Kimbia and even though I hate to give negative product reviews I feel very strongly that Kimbia is a hinderance rather than a help to the effort we are putting forth for our event.

Overall: I don't think I can list a single benefit.

Pros: Ease of use for the donor for making multiple donations and learning about the nonprofits; the Kimbia team is fantastic to work with and always very responsive.

Cons: So far, the inability to automatically add recurring gifts to the leaderboard. It understates our impact and causes angst. I hope that can be worked out soon.

Overall: It makes it possible to do an on-going campaign and have confidence that the donations will be tracked, acknowledged and reported accurately.

Pros: It is easy to use for those who are not tech savvy. Customer service is superb! Everyone I've worked with has been responsive and supportive.

Cons: We set solid time limits on time restricted pledges. We have to adjust end dates for pledges. It's not a huge problem as we can access the site from any computer with internet access and set reminders.

Pros: the ease of use of the entire software, it loads very fast, unlike some other softwares I have used.

Cons: the navigation screen could be less cluttered. The xml file should use relative position instead of absolute, just a thought...

Pros: Customer Service is top notch. Always helpful and easy to access. The way it integrates with our own website is very nice. Since it doesn't take you to a 3rd party site, it streamlines things for our guests and donors.

Cons: I wish it was a little easier to navigate the back end pages. When first using, it's not super user friendly. it takes a lot of clicks to figure some set up out.

Overall: We have raised more money!

Pros: Kimbia makes creating new donation forms very easy. The reporting function is highly configurable to create automated reports for different team members. Support is responsive to requests.

Cons: Individual form elements are not as customizeable as other form generators. Styling is controlled via external style-sheets.

Overall: Provides easy to configure forms for embedding on your site

Pros: Ease of editing and somewhat easy to navigate. able to run reports.

Cons: Somewhat slow (some drop down menus don't work). Terrible training for users. No documentation (which is kind of unheard of from software companies). Lack of organization from our rep. who seemed to also be learning as he went.

Pros: How easy it is to look for certain information and pulling specific reports. It was very easy to set up different users and manage our account.

Pros: Most of what I need to with Kimbia is pretty self-explanatory. It's well organized and the reporting feature is really helpful.

Cons: Slow to load when switching between campaigns. When I don't know how to find or do something, it's difficult to find the answers.

Pros: After becoming acquainted with the software's capabilities, it offers a number of useful options for generating reports and tracking donations.

Cons: The software is very difficult to navigate and could be more user-friendly. What's more, the software should have more native capabilities that allow it to easily interact with other systems.

Overall: It serves its purpose in tracking online donations.

Pros: Way we can see the backend and make changes to the pages. We are able to update and keep the nonprofits up to date on the latest changes we make, etc.

Cons: Back end set up (donation page for example) is cumbersome and we've been disappointed in customer support.

Pros: Administrative abilities, I could easily make changes to individual registrations. Shirts sizes, address, refunds, etc...

Cons: Having to rebuild reports for each event, Multiple emails to registrants, limited training, no step by step instruction manuals, team pages vs individual campaign pages were confusing to our registrants and not user friendly to set up.

As for the reports, you can save the report using "Save Report As" with a new name, then edit the form or campaign for the new report and quickly save and run the report for the additional event/race. Pros: Peer-to-peer fundraising has some nice features. Setting up a basic registration form is pretty easy.

Cons: Complete setup of a full campaign is very difficult unless you have a lot of experience with how everything works and where the settings are buried. The site is also not very responsive. You'll edit a setting, push submit, and the screen will sit for a little bit before doing anything. You might get a message that something didn't work after that. Creating a report requires a LOT of clicking around usually. The entire Kimbia platform needs to be updated badly. It has an early 2000's aesthetic and workflow. Sites today are a lot more streamlined and intuitive. With the right redesign, Kimbia could be something truly great. We don't use all of the features it has to offer because setting them all up is like navigating a maze. Settings typically have no description as to what exactly it is.

Overall: We have certainly managed to raise funds time and time again, which is great! We just want a better workflow and design to be implemented.

Pros: It is adaptable to your needs. We have used it for our Giving day for 3 years and have been very happy

Overall: We have been using this product for more than 3 years and have not had any issues with it. We have also used it for multiple applications.

Pros: Kimbia provides a variety of options, easy to use functions and response team members. Kimbia provides quality staff members to oversee projects and helps facilitate positive working relationships.

Cons: More complex tasks require input from Kimbia, often necessitating handholding. The software can be limited in functionality.

Pros: This software is very easy to use! Also, we have had excellent customer service this year. It has definitely been elevated from our first year use.

Cons: Wish there was a little more flexibility in certain items. Ability to change the way things are used or look on the site would be good.

Pros: I like that Kimbia facilitates a more pleasant giving experience for our constituents. I appreciate the various functions it offers to really customize campaigns as we go.

Cons: I am frustrated by the lack of documentation and written instrictions. Most supporting documents and videos are outdated. Additionally, the software is outdated in terms of ease of use.

Pros: Easy to work with and website is well laid out. Has a good history and reputation working with various organizations and corporations.

Cons: Nothing comes to mind. Maybe a small lack of partners and amount of funding that has been accomplished versus other companies in the industry.

Recommendations to other buyers: Write a list of needs and wants before beginning to review. Suggest a test phase if possible to access the flow of the application.
