Saved me a lot of time . I like a lot the export feature for Excell. Pros This tool helped me a lot doing my dissertation's research. It allowed me to collect the required data in a simple and practical way. The product is in general very easy and simple to use compared to other products in the market. The integration into my study process was smooth and fast-forward. I highly recommend it. Cons The things i liked the least aren't critical in my opinion. It is well built and user friendly. The most amazing thing though is that it has a lot of options for free and a special subscription plan for students with no costs. I am currently doing a research project in the Human Resources field. Shalom H Schwartz Theory of Basic Values will be the basis of the analysis. The Portrait Values Questionnaire (PVQ) will be used in order to assess the predisposition of the Romanian employees to the ten value set proposed by the theory. In order to successfully achieve this project a powerful online tool is required to survey the Romanian employees. SoGoSurvey is this tool for me. I already built the 40 item survey in my free account. The interface is relatively easy to use, although not that intuitive. The data gathered is quite extensive with lots of additional information beyond the survey, like IP, browser, email, operating system, duration and even screen resolution. It also has a built in translation tool and spell check. Too bad it doesn’t have Romanian, although there are lots of different relatively uncommon languages (Bosnian, Burmese, Cape Verdean, Haitian Creole, Hmong etc.). Anyway, I definitely recommend this tool both for business development and academic research! Cons I still have not figured out any cons. this software is pretty much flawless. I think it is better to mention the name of the person who created the survey in the bottom left corner. The surveys you create are designed to be official and hold credible weight with those taking them. That may be a downside to some users, but when you're wanting concise, pertinent data from people, sacrificing looks for quality is a must. The resources many survey platforms spend on looks are instead here used for making more efficient question templates. The depth of question-types available, distribution tools, and incredible data management put this up there for best survey software. Cons Navigating surveys before you send them out is a total pain. Cons We have had to change the survey slightly throughout the time we have been using SOGO, and due to the format that data is compare, we have not been able to collate all the data from the slightly tweaked different surveys with ease. Having trawled the web looking at offerings from Survey Monkey, LimeSurvey, GoSci, to name a few, I was getting more and more frustrated, by either the cost involved in getting something decent to work with or the complicated way of accessing sites, or creating questions. In some cases all three! sogosurvey.com/is really easy to use. Setting up the questionnaire couldn't be simpler. The variety of question formats meant I didn't have to completely restructure the questions I had already devised on paper. The data analysis is also really easy to interpret, another important factor for someone who is not 'statistically minded. I am curious about the results of the verbatim report as my study is mixed methodology, I haven't got to using it yet, but if the rest of product is anything to go by it should simplify my task tremendously!! The customer service via email is surprisingly quick and effective at providing answers to questions. While it may not be personal \`on the phone support' I have been reassured by the speed of response, and actually prefer this as, being a mom of two, I am not always sat at my desk waiting for a phone call and I can deal with issues in my time. Pros Number of surveys and responses you can have in plus plan, the number of data you can gather and import to excel and then to statistics programs like SPSS and the simplicity you can make a survey with a lot of advanced questions. Cons The question skip logic is only available on the Pro plan and the "Export to SPSS" is only available on the Enterprise Plan which are a bit expensive for a use for academic purposes, but which are easily circumvented. Emails typically reply back within a few min, occasionally it takes a few hours but never beyond a day. 2. It allows uploading of images using pdf or powerpoint which was very important for my survey. 3. Advanced branching allows you to take respondents to different algorithms. 4. There is an option for respondents to save and continue later, and for the enterprise version, responses may be autosaved. Cons 1\. It is fairly costly for me. 2. Some respondents' responses were initially lost when I reviewed the survey and I had to write in to ask them to retrieve the responses which were fortunately retrievable. 3. You can only send automatic reminders to complete the survey three times after which you have to send manual reminders. 4. Ranking type questions don't support an "other" option to type in text. 5. Some surveys allow you to track which one of your respondents have answered the survey but ensures anonymity by not linking the response to the respondent. Pros What I like most about SogoSurvey is that it is a software that focuses on the understanding of the results, in this way they show results in graphic form and with many other factors that help to understand. Cons I do not like the prices of SogoSurvey, I think that these prices put them so high because their functions are very good and resulting, but I would like them to be lower and more accessible. November 27, 2015 5.0 When I started to think about choosing a proper tool to do surveys that will benefit my PhD research, I have already decided to go for build up my online questionnaires. Several benefits can be obtained from this tool. It is a convenient and much easier method for both the researcher and respondents. It is also a method that can be circulated easily among respondents with much less time, effort and money than those required in traditional surveying methods. In the last couple of years there have been many different online survey providers emerge. As a doctoral researcher into online media, it was really important to find one that not only had a rich feature set, but also a survey tool that didn't make the provider more prominent than the survey. Although very early days in my own use of the product, SoGoSurvey has a full feature set that outstrips many of its competitors. It also advertises Google Analytics integration for adding further value to the resulting data-set and holds the necessary TRUSTe certificates for data protection compliance - something that is absolutely essential in the professional and academic research environment. Based on my own very basic trial of the product, it appears to be an excellent alternative to Survey Monkey and with a fantastic promise of email support. It promises to provide a really flexible and responsive system with some key features to support the survey process and its responses. It's too early for me to give a very detailed review but their website has a great checklist of the available features and it's easy to trial to see whether it meets your specific needs. Used the software for: ### "Though you have options, go straight to Pro" December 21, 2015 4.0 SogoSurvey's features allow me to create surveys that are simple or complex. While my inclination is to create a simple survey of yes/no questions, this is for my qualitative dissertation research. I will be drafting more complex questions that need skip-patterns, options for longer or shorter answers, and the ability to pause and save responses so the survey can be completed over time. I think that feature alone will boost the response rate to or beyond my stated goal and will result in more thoughtful and detailed answers. Though I won't be using piping for this survey, I love knowing that I have this feature as an option. As a non-blogging student on a very limited budget, I appreciate having the option to buy a license for a fairly reasonable rate. I would suggest you determine exactly what you need first before choosing between a Plus and a Pro license (skip the Basic license altogether). If you are not sure, go for the Pro license. That one costs a bit more, but you won't spend the money on a Plus license and then have to spend another chunk of change on the upgraded license. With Pro you should have all the features you need to develop, implement, and analyze fairly complex survey data that will exceed even the strictest standards in most academic settings. Finally, I'd like to give a shout-out to the webinar support staff.
