Specifically, designing the survey seems extremely easy using SoGo survey as there are multiple question options given in the simplest possible manner. I had been struggling to design a thorough survey and SoGo survey solved my issues. I would wholeheartedly recommend it for anyone out there. Overall, SoGoSurvey offers a variety of question options, design templates and ease in executing your questionnaire and the result looks very professional even if it is for academic purposes. Pros The software interface is very intuitive and user-friendly. To develop small and basic questionnaires on this platform, the trial version is ideal, even for beginners to this type of research. Another great competitive advantage offered is the possibility to export and analyze the data for free. Overall, in relation to the free package compared to other existing software, SoGosurvey is undoubtedly the one that offers more options and tools to develop an appealing and organized survey and the subsequent analysis of collected data. Cons For now as a user of the free package, the only disadvantages identified were the limit of questions and not being able to include the logo in the questionnaire. Pros The customer service is very easy to access and has a fast response rate. The resulting surveys are aesthetically appealing and accessible for survey participants. The question type options allowed me to create a wide variety of survey questions, and it was easy to learn how to use these. Cons Have a simple skip logic included in the free package, or perhaps a cheaper package with this available. Also sometimes changing between question types requires you to fill out the answers again (e.g. from the numerical ranking to the smiley scale rating). Pros The interface for this is very easy to use. Alos it helps me make very professional looking surveys. I also like that it keeps track of the number of my survey invitations I sent out. That's very useful. I also like its thank you notes, and handy survey calendar. Cons I found the free features in the free basic package were limited. Also you couldn't edit a survey if you forgot a question, you had to make a completely new one. You will most likely find everything you need to build a proper survey for all kinds of needs and even journal worthy academic studies. - they have an exceptional customer support and many useful intro guides to get started with your own project. - there aren't any of the 'classic' survey tool constraints. Unlimited surveys, unlimited questions, reasonable amount of responses Cons \- there is really nothing major to complain about. Some functions are only included within fee-based licenses, but that's the case for every survey tool on the market. " June 7, 2017 5.0 Pros We love the flexible options of numerous types of questions/answer styles from text to rating grids, etc. We also absolutely love the ability to integrate with Word and Excel for reporting options. There is also a new Spring release that has added some nice features such as symbol rating, Captcha, etc. There are also more customization options than before. The company has listened to feedback and is improving an already good program. We feel that this software is much, much more flexible than what we were using before. We use the software for more than just surveys. It can be used for simple testing, online applications, etc. Cons I used to dislike the large asterisks on required questions, but in the latest release that has been modified. It is also hard to work with some of the logic questions once you have created a survey, but I would imagine that there is no way around that. One needs to learn to think through the survey entirely before adding logic and it is not impossible to edit a survey with logic. Pros It is pretty easy to form questions and the design is made logically so you do not need to think a lot what type of option/design to choose for an appropriate option. Great customer support nonetheless. Cons I had some difficulties while establishing my account and a password. At one point it showed me that I already have an account but it is not verified, and when I wanted to log in it showed me that my account was not in the database. However, after checking my mail again and setting up a new password, everything seemed to be fine. One thing that distinguishes​ this survey tool from the others is that you can create a survey with other languages! Plus, you can have 200 responses, while most survey tools only allow​ 100 (on the free plan I mean). Another amazing thing is that SoGoSurvey allows students to achieve a higher plan for free, you just have to do the steps and sent them an email. Cons It was very difficult to figure out. Initially I thought it was just user error. When I tried a different online survey tool, it was much more user friendly than SoGoSurvey. I am conducting another survey for my school program, and I will be using that one instead. Customer service was also not the most helpful I have experienced to say the least. Additionally, the free trial is only for the minimum possible features, which is misleading. The page on which you are to select the type of service you need, it makes it seem as though you get the selected one for the duration of the trial not just the basic package. The customer service representative was not very friendly regarding my inquiries, and I was more or less on my own. I recommend trying out other options before paying for this one. December 15, 2017 5.0 Pros After having carefully compared the numerous survey solutions available online, SoGoSurvey appeared to be the most comprehensive, with the largest panel of question types. More, SoGoSurvey offers a lot of freedom to customize the display styles. It therefore represents the best balance between richness of question types and user experience. Finally, SoGoSurvey is offered for free to academics and students ;) Cons It's difficult to make it better. As a UX /interaction designer, there could be improvements to offer a more delightful experience. I especially like that I can export raw data in CVS and Excel formats. Cons I did not like dealing with the process of getting the free student upgrade, in particular, dealing with the service representative. I've been made to jump through unnecessary hoops for the upgrade which has resulted in filling out reviews dishonestly, such as this one, as I'm rating a product that I have not yet used. This is frustrating and decreases my likelihood to recommend this tool to my 16 other classmates who will eventually go on to pursue careers in research.
