I have used many survey tools prior to using SoGo. Each one had their share of pros and cons. Recently I was recommended by my colleague to try out the SoGo survey tool. Initially I was a bit apprehensive to try out a new survey tool after using different ones before. But this suggestion turned out to be very helpful. The sign-up process is easy and quick. Also there is an online tutorial to guide beginners at the start on how to create surveys and how to use the wide array of functions to the full extent. Next once you begin, it has a very user-friendly interface which helps the user. Additionally you can find a variety of survey templates which can act as a valuable guide in the creation of different surveys. Also customization along the way is made simpler. Further once the data sample is collected, the analysis is made easier with SoGo's dynamic graphs and thus lot of time is saved. Though many survey tools are available online, SoGo provides many diverse and vibrant features which are not available elsewhere. Lastly if you are a student, you also get entitled to a free license for 1 year. I would recommend everyone SoGo survey as the go-to survey tool for all their needs. February 11, 2016 5.0 Hello everyone, I would also like to share my personal experience using SoGoSurvey. I am currently a Master student in Forensic Psychology and my dissertation project involves the completion of a survey. As a result, I decided to find an online survey platform that could satisfy my student needs. After trying a number of options (Survey Monkey, Google Forms etc), I came across SoGoSurvey and I decided to give it a go. My first impression was really positive, because of the various videos I could watch, in order to help me getting started. As I am a beginner in using such a platform, I found the videos extremely helpful in guiding me through the whole process of preparing my survey. Furthermore, due to my research needs, I have to collect a large number of participant responses. With SoGoSurvey, I could get the desired amount of responses and export my data to SPSS (although there is a number of other options available) without any worries! What I also found extremely important is the fact that, because I am a student, I could upgrade my account and get the extra features available for FREE! To conclude, I highly recomment SoGoSurvey, especially if you are a student like me. Used the software for: ### "Best cost-benefit in the market" February 20, 2017 5.0 I have being using SoGosurvey for about two years now. During these years I have developed dozens of different questionnaires, within different levels of complexity. I use them mainly for my phd research, where I develop different types of behavioural tests. I must say that I am still quite happy with the service. I've seen that the Sogosuvey platform has evolved quite a lot within the last couple years, so it is definitively a service that keeps a constant upgrade policy. Hence, the resources to implement efficient surveys are always getting better and better. The graphics interface has also improved quite a lot. Customer's service is fast and 24/7. I am based in Europe, and always get quick answers when I have a specific inquiries, which is simply fabulous! The sogosurvey servers are quite stable. I have worked with other systems (such as Qualtrics), which usually rely on the university's servers, and therefore are significantly less stable. Finally, I can tell you that I will keep on using such services for a longer period time. I am very grateful of having found SoGoSurvey. The other ones available in the market won't go as smooth as this one. Of course, it is also important to mention that Sogosurvey offers special price ranges for students (like, free subscription...!), which is very convenient for researchers that are starting their careers. CEO Research Used the software for: I used a free trial ### "Basic Version is Useless" November 30, 2019 1.0 None Pros Who knows, the basic version did not resemble the screen captures in the training videos. Managed to produce one question, couldn't add any others. Training videos stop at one question, assume everyone sees the drop and drag menus, none of which appear. Repetitive music on useless videos irritating. I'm left to conclude that the basic version is useless, that only by paying for one of the upgrades will one see what the videos show in terms of menus, etc. Waste of a couple hours of time. Looks good in videos, too bad the basic version doesn't work like the versions in the videos. Cons It appears that the basic version is so limited that it's useless. We are amazed to discover that we can create our own template and give it a look that represents our brand. We also appreciate their reliable customer service. Regarding what I was looking for, it had all the necessary features I hoped for of a mobile survey app. Pros The app was easy and intuitive to use, right from the beginning. The free version already included many useful features, like unlimited Surveys Unlimited Questions, 200 responses per year and questionnaires available on a mobile phone. Especially if you're not part of a big company and still need a sufficient survey application for example in reasons of an ambulatory assessment, this app is really useful. Another plus was that you were able to create the surveys on your laptop or on your mobile phone. Cons If I have to mention a con than it is only the fact that some features necessary for my research were not included in the free version of the application. Especially to be able to export your data to Excel or embed your survey in email invitations. Used the software for: ### "A perfect tool for students" February 10, 2016 5.0 The amount of surveys you need to do in college is unreal. Finding a gem like SoGoSurvey is wonderful. I was searching for a survey program that would allow me to do more than your general survey like surveymonkey does. SoGoSurvey is just that product. I really appreciate the ease with which I was able to develop an employee engagement survey. I used one of their templates and was easily able to tweak it to fit what I was looking for. In other programs the free versions often have a very small question limit. A limit that makes the surveys virtually useless for any large scale research. SoGoSurvey allows 30 question in its free version and unlimited questions in any of its paid versions. Though I haven't yet used the branch logic feature it seems like a great addition to any survey. The surveys can also be easily amended to use various selection methods, from radio buttons to drop down menus. The ease in implementing the survey is also there. Whether you want to just use a URL link or want to link it to facebook, it is as easy as a click of the button. SoGoSurvey also offers a free student plan where you can have access to the full program for a year just by meeting a few specific criteria. I need to gather information about a particular type of course being taught at various tertiary level institutions. The survey involve a complexity with regard to questionnaire survey is of informative type, but for getting more and more objective kind of information I need to use a number of type of questions. survey involve branching and piping I had more that 35 questions I had about 1000 respondents For this purpose I search and tried various survey tool available on the web (Free as my research is not funded). Most of the persons recommended me of googleforms and I tried it. The major problem that I faced is too limited options for type of questions and branching is only possible between sections. And the best thing is that they offer student plan for free containing all these features with unlimited questions and for about 1500 respondents. Therefore I checked different providers and finally decided to go for SoGoSurvey. What was really crucial was the ease of use: the video tutorials explain from beginning on how to start, and when you start working, the self-explaining functions make you continue and finalize the survey pretty fast. What I especially appreciate is the fast customer support - of course sometimes I needed some help and even with the time difference in Europe, I was supported within minutes or few hours!! I would really recommend the product for the nice style, easy handling and functions!! SoGoSurvey was recommended to me by friends, and I will also recommend the product to other friends. Pros I like most the different functions - every question type can be presented as desired - from skip logic, to branching and simple yes/no questions. Further, no technical expertise is needed due to the videos and great support. Also, the possibility of making the survey in English and German are great to offer my survey to an even greater audience. Cons I could not immediately find the function to insert text pages, but even that was solved after contacting SoGoSurvey Support. With limited budget, I have to find survey apps which can accomodate my extensive research. Other than common survey method, I also have to explore myself in experimental survey and scenario based. Using SoGoSurvey, I can fulfil almost all what I need according to my research design. Such as: build multilingual survey for cross country comparison, piping and branching logic that enables me to do random experiment to different subjects, and distribute my survey into different platform. With those comprehensive features, I get a huge benefit to work efficiently in collecting data (and affordable pricing for student). Plus, the customer supports are very responsive in solving my needs. The only weakness is the system is not so intuitive for first time user. I signed up for free and was amazed by the ease of use, but automatically knew right away I would need an upgraded version in order to fully complete the survey and be able to send it out to my subjects. Upgrading is also quite easy and can be done in a click of a button! Some of the features that really caught my attention were the different styles of question formatting there are, along with being able to personalize the survey as much as we can with no limits.
