Pros: Everything in one place and reports are easy to print up. Questions are answered promptly and they always are after feedback on how to improve

Cons: Have taken away finance report printout on last update.
Cannot do report on one or two categories only.
No annual finance report feature

Overall: Ease of financing

Thanks for the review Natalie, yes we removed reports temporarily and plan to bring them back very quickly - there is a more advanced CSV export now that will provide this information in the meantime. We also have a comprehensive blog post outlining all of the changes made. https://blog.tidyhq.com/finances-updates-little-changes-big-impact-41d715e36212

Pros: Adjustable and user friendly system for membership, renewals and bulk emails to members. Expanding option of custom fields helps meet our needs

Cons: New billing system does not differentiate expired from active members - having to delete expired inactive members looses their data and all needs to be re- entered when they rejoin

Hi Bill, thanks for the review. You shouldn't be needing to delete expired members, they're still contacts, just with an expired membership token. The member just needs to sign up again with their same credentials and their information will still be in their profile ¿

I use TidyHQ regularly and it is easy to use.

Pros: The Events page has a very attrative good interface. It is easy to log in to work on the site and the left hand menu is clear and contains all options wanted.

Cons: Time consuming, convoluted, process to load photos and documents.
No way to make appropriate files in email storage. Everything ends up in Archives and can never be found again.
Can't make pages look attractive.
Bo 'back' button for when one makes a serious error while updating pages.

Overall: It is a website we can work on without having to know coding. It has a relatively good fresh look to landing page and events page.

Generally meet our requirements , but we are not using many of its capability /functions

There appears to be no formal training offered in the many functions that we do not use

The majority of the TidyClub system is easy to use, and is easy to follow in the layout.

Pros: How quick and easy you can find contacts and sending emails, particularly when needing to contact a group. As the Club Registrar I quite often have to contact one team and one team alone. It's great that I can add names to a group, label it, and email them all in one hit!
Customer service has always been quick to reply whenever I need help or have a question that requires answering.

Cons: That there is no way to integrate the shop on the the membership sign up page. It's a shame that people have to add something to their cart, ie, a levy, and then go through the membership processes. If there was the ability to add the levy in on the membership sign up page, it would be far easier for members.

Overall: The ability to contact the entire club member base a the hit of a button!

Pros: Consolidates all our Association's information, provides continuity when membership of our Executive Committee changes. Lovely integration between meeting records and task lists, reminders and weekly summaries. Automated reminders to members when their membership is due to expire. Provides a great audit trail. Excellent timely, helpful support. I would recommend TidyHQ to any club or association.

Cons: Can't seem to readily save drafts of emails (except by scheduling them to be sent at a far future date) or spell check emails within TidyHQ.

Overall: Hugely simplifies management of our association.

I have supervised a NFP organization from disorganized paper to professional looking organization.

Pros: We have got an online payment for memberships which greatly reduces volunteer time. Our volunteers are spread across the country and when snail mail is forwarded it often takes too long. Now it's in the bank. We utilize the 'pages' for our website which is colourful and informative, and the 'events' is used to advertise related events around the country.
Over the years documents which should be stored have been lost, either on members computers or in the bottom of their filing cabinets. Now any important company documents are kept in 'storage'

Cons: Not all the functions have been obvious. Have only just found out how to make people fill in all personal details, and how to get an annual actual financial statement (under Budget!)
None of us are computer experts and it has to be very straightforward, (not like the actual financial statement under budget).
Would like to see a better financial system. Fortunately, our Auditor has accepted the current one, for now.

Overall: It is our new face to the world. Bright, fresh and informative.
All activities can be tracked and all users can see what each of us is doing. There is no hiding.

Great product that has improved. Very responsive to customer feedback.

Pros: Great for managing communications with different groups within a club or organization. Setting up smart groups is easy. Adding custom fields is easy.

Overall: Improved communication between committee and club members. Centralized club information so that it wasn't all on one person's computer, which gave them the opportunity to act as a gate-keeper.

Pros: Best thing about TidyHQ is the level of professionalism it can bring to a club that may not otherwise have had.
Many clubs are still using disjointed administration processes where paper is king and data loss is also high.
TidyHQ's ability to bring all of that together in a place that all the committee can easily access is it's biggest advantage.
Despite the fees that do add up on bigger dollar amounts, for smaller monetary values, the ability to eliminate physical cash handling and chase up on unpaid invoices will save a club a lot a lot of headaches.

Cons: Probably for TidyHQ to really boom and dominate, either integration with a accounting program is important or the finances section must really step up and begin to rival accounting programs. While this will be a large amount of work, if you can eliminate those transactions fees for things like sponsorship payments and a club can solely rely on TidyHQ finances to handle everything, TidyHQ will be the market leader in this space.

Pros: Everything in one place for a small organisation. It enables us to communicate as an organisation and prepare for succession. The home page is a great asset but difficult to edit compared with other page editors.

Cons: The new pricing structure means we will stop using it. The jump from free to the first chargeable account is too big for us. We have more than 100 contacts but many don't pay a subscription. Some very clunky modules, still not improved - e.g. sessions, group messages, editing of home page

Overall: Hleps to create an organisation from a group of individuals working remotely, where none existed before.

Very useful platform.

Pros: Allows small clubs to manage their affairs in one location, without the need to pay for separate email and web hosted. The minutes feature keeps getting better.

Cons: New pricing model is not in line with small clubs. The restrictions on the number of users should be reconsidered for the basic version.

Our national body decided that all states should use TidyHQ for membership and Xero for accounting.

Pros: The biggest advantage over the old membership system is the ability of members to edit their own contact details.

Cons: There is almost no history recorded so it is not possible to get statistics on such things as membership growth over time.

Pros: Very friendly and attentive support.
Support helps out if you get stuck with something.
Listen to users input about features etc.

Cons: Still volunteer to do translation into Danish.
CSV dump files not adjusted to international settings. Denmark uses "," as $ and cent separator. The "." used make it a hell for countries using ","
Field separator character should be "selectable" for user, in CSV file dumps.
Danish characters does not come out correctly in CSV dumps.

Overall: It handles most of the "specialties" we have concerning membership types.
Still missing the right capabilities for handling the signing up for events.
Don't mix Participants with Contacts.

Comments: Love the platform overall, has made our administration so much easier and has given us the ability to consolidate information that was previously held in multiple spreadsheets. We can now immediately email groups of contacts, view dashboards eg. financial information and easily create webpages to support our information channels.

Great value for any club wanting to consolidate and reduce administration.

Hi Harold, Thanks for this. You can also provide this type of feedback within the application via the big blue floating button at the bottom right. We are refreshing Memberships in the next few months so will be taking this information onboard. We will also be asking a few more questions to Matthew and co about any other requirements. Appreciate the review and the feedback! Cheers, Isaak

Comments: We wanted to use TidyHQ for managing our shared property (about 20 distinct owner's), we loved the people directory, the mailing list function, the storage area, the calendar. We miss two features :
- A forum where we can chat on various subjects in an organized manner
- A wiki like feature in order to present things to people in the way we want to and/or to store/publish information the way we want

Thanks for the great work,

Comments: We are a National Textile Art Group and TidyHQ is just what we needed, we can have our on line meetings with the meeting minutes live, everything at our fingertips no more having to interrupt the secretary to be able to obtain information, members and all contacts easily accessible, and great on line help when required. Can't wait to see how this program grows. Storage for documents like our Constitution, processes and protocols at our fingertips. Easy ticketing for our events. I just love this program.

Comments: TidyHQ has made a significant difference in managing our rugby club, with simple and easy to use features. Previously we used spreadsheets to manage our accounts, and now it's kept on the TidyHQ system. From an audit perspective, everything is there, you can do your invoicing, set up your memberships, even run ticketed events. AND ITS FREE with no monthly fees. We set up social memberships via the platform, and started with around 50, then went to 92, and last year we had over 150. New features keep coming out and I highly recommend the platform to any sports clubs, non-profits and even small business wanting to manage their affairs.

Comments: The 10MB size limit for attachments to email communications is a joke.

Our organization is a 49-piece musical ensemble, and our business requires that we be able to share mp3 files with other members.

The current size limit requires us to send emails outside of TidyHQ, which is contrary to the purpose of using the site in the first place.

PLEASE increase the attachment allowance to a size that is useful!

10MB in this day and age is pretty much useless except for sending text files and PDF's, and that information is more easily sent in the body of an email anyway.

Vendor Response

by TidyHQ on August 31, 2017

Hi Lee, Thanks for this feedback. We are looking to increase attachment limitations to 25Mb on the paid plans but that's as far as we can push it. I'd then point to our Storage solution or even Dropbox to just post links to the MP3's. Thanks again for the review! Cheers, Isaak CEO and Founder
