### "Powerful but not clunky"

Overall, I love working with Hotel Exec. The team at Avon Data are second to none. Unlike a lot of large system providers, the team at Avon will listen to ideas and if possible will implement. They will gladly tailor or create reports (at no extra cost, unlike some I could mention!) and are keen to take ideas for future development.

Pros

This system is designed with the user in mind (Unlike alot of the larger products on the market), and particularly for users who don't like computers! It can easily compete with the likes of Opera on a daily usage basis Unlike a lot of systems that involve alot of clicks and back steps, Hotel Exec guides you through processes with ease. This makes the system very easy to use and to pick up. The vast reports provide invaluable information that allows you to make the right decisions for the strategy of your business. In addition, its simple yet versatile rate management and integrations with a number of channel managers means that bookings are quickly delivered and reduces the risk of overbooking at the price you want.

Cons

While the rate matrix is incredible, it would be nice if you could apply hotel level controls (Min LOS etc) to all rates in one click rather than on each rate.

Very positive. The system is robust, reliable and user friendly, there are some brilliant workshops to get FOH teams up to speed and the support is fantastic.

Pros

Great functionality, easy to use, excellent support.

Cons

The Reports are very comprehensive but there's no indication, other than the name, of what they produce. Some take a snapshot in time, others project forward or back, some report net, others report gross. There are loads of very useful reports which are necessarily very complex, therefore a full description of their purpose would make them much more user friendly.

Terrible can't wait to get rid of it and try something that works.

Pros

The sales pitch was great and When there is a p problem in office hrs they always get back to you even if the problems don't get fixed.

Cons

If it worked it would be great,but it doesn't. It crashes a lot and When reported to them they say they will fix or they are working on fixing it but it doesn't happen. Our business has suffered while trying to use this software. BE AWARE! If you have problems and want to leave they will wave the contract in your face and you are tied in for three-years.

We have used Avon Data products in their various iterations since 1998. THeir ability to keep up to date with technology developments is impressive Our Hotel and Restaurant uses 3 modules, The main PMS, the Events package and Banquet EPOS. They work well together and allow us to give excellent customer service while keeping a tight control of our business.

Pros

I like the fact that ist is, easy to install very intuitive and user friendly. The support service from Avon Data is outstanding

Cons

It is difficult to say what I like least. Overall the products meet our requirements

we wanted to be able to add a channel manager to enable us to be on more evil OTA's this had lead to increased bookings

Pros

the ease of use, the fact it is windows based and this makes training easier

Cons

there was not much to dislike, its a simple system to use and install

It is great for organising tariffs special offers and one time deals. Credit card numbers are stored safely

Pros

We are a small hotel and had tried the bigger software companies and they couldn't care less about us. From the first enquiry to set up, use and support we are so glad we went with Avon Data. HE is easy to use, keep bookings safe and secure and if you have any problems they are only a quick phone call away. You speak to someone in the UK who genuinely wants to help you.

Cons

This is hard there is nothing I don't like. I love the software

Pros

Ease of use, intuitive. Responsive and friendly staff when an issue with the software.

Cons

No integration with restaurant booking software and no restaurant, treatment booking times on the room booking so have to manually update the guests - errors can be made. Not very receptive to suggestions for improvements.

It’s been really good- All the team are on hand to help out when we need it They offer a very personal service and I never feel that I am calling a call centre

Pros

Very easy to use and trim staff on The remote system allows me to see all my hotels and adjust rates from my laptop

Cons

Nothing it meets the needs of my entire group very well
