It has turned my email marketing from pain (with previous systems) to joy ! It is so easy to set up a very cool looking email and send it. I can control my budget to my needs. Recharge my credits when I need it and pay nothing for 2 months if Im not sending anything. And ... the mailing list management system is just amazing. it is so easy now to admin my mailing lists, correct them as I go, group people in different categories and move them around if needed. I have even intagrated the Subscribe forms on my web sites . Again ... flexible and so easy to set up . I LOVE direct mail . Managing subscribers, editing emails, evaluate tracking. Pros Runs as a client on your computer. No need to use a terrible web interface. Works offline. Greatest tracking features I have seen so far. Different useful options in pricing. Intuitive usage. Option to use your own SMTP server. Cons Should offer usage of European servers and/or a solution to host your own subscriber database. Pros It is very easy to use and provides the basic bells and whistles needed to track any campaign. Cons I know it is not possible, but there needs to be a way to track reasons why a person would file a report. I've experienced people I've known well reporting me, rather than merely unsubscribing. One I called up and she said she did it by accident. Not even sure how that can be an accident, but ok. It would help to understand user behavior with clear reasons to get a better sense of what I might have done wrong with a user, so I can avoid certain pitfalls in the future. People are impressed how i present my work by a Old School Telegram / Newsletter. I love Directmail, but i am pissed about old email adress which bouncing. Pros Great product for the price We use Direct Mail to manage our customer base for two separate target audiences. The service is helpful and easy to use, being able to create, reuse and modify previous campaign flyers, driving traffic to our websites, providing useful metrics, keeping our database relevant when clients change email addresses or are no longer interested in receiving annoucements. Overall DM has worked well for our small business. We cannot afford to invest in other CRM services such as MailChimp, Constant Contact, GetResponse or other email marketing services. Pros This is mature mac software that grows over time. I have been using it for years and in the work place I have a handful of softwares that are the business. In addition to doing what is asked of it reports are chelated and exported effortlessly. A potentially drudge job becomes a pleasure with this, the right software. But best of all, when my computer damaged a key file, I sent it to Direct Mail. They sent an auto email saying it would be repaired in 24 hours. They sent the file back in two hours and it has worked perfectly ever sense. I highly recommend this program and company. Direct Mail proved the simplest and most versatile way of sending well-formatted email to clients. Pros Direct Mail is by far the simplest HTML email program I have used. I started with a more well known, online software solution but I found it cumbersome. When I discovered Direct Mail I never went back to it and let my account lapse. Cons It would be nice to be able to change the width of the template items Reason for choosing Direct Mail I just enjoy the ease of use of Direct Mail. I can trace far more revenue gained than what I've paid for the use so it's definitely been a good part of my workflow. Pros Super easy to use, excellent reporting, great personalization features.
