In the 10 years I've been in practice, I've never once had to worry about insurance billing and collections.

Pros

Ease of use and customization to your practice. Nothing is missed from billing and collections to patient missed visits. Reports are awesome and everything you need is just a click away.

Cons

The only thing I don't like is opening a ticket for any and all communication with the company. It makes sense that by doing it this way, every piece of communication is documented, but sometimes one just likes to pick up the phone. :)

Poor. Buyer beware. Disappointed. Regretful.

Pros

Task management, cloud based, integrates with Blue IQ, able to have multiple locations on same platform.

Cons

Poor integration with BlueIQ vs. how chirotouch was. Accounting platform. Inconsistency of the platform and processes. Onboarding STRESS was HELL. Macros are made in an entire "Type" of note instead of individually. 6 weeks in still waiting for answers to questions that are holding up business.

This is a web based application so loading windows can be slow sometimes. This results in waiting for information to load before a patient can be treated.

We have a lot to learn still so we can customize the software to suit our practice, but from what we have so early on, I expect great things. Let me tell you, the training team has been kind, patient and reassuring during this entire process and always will find an answer when needed. Pros

quickly schedule appointments; patient daily notes look professional and are easy to access; easy to take payments with Fortis; the amazing training team and new patient process so much faster and more efficient. I like that the Dr has more accessibility to the financial aspect of his practice and can see the claims workbench.

Cons

Small fonts and crowded pages. Individual appointment visit receipts with dx and procedure codes reflecting that days visit only. The only way we found to print that out also prints out every prior visit and the font is INCREDIBLY small and hard to read.

Reason for choosing Genesis Chiropractic Software

The ease of scheduling, the way it wouldn't allow claims to slip through the cracks. It is the true task master software needed to ensure claims were sent and received and followed up on. We also liked the way the Dr has easy access to his numbers, his practice and where things are on a day to day basis.

None of our reports were accurate. Too many variables in order to get a bottom line that never lined up right down to patient seen that day - 3 reports, 3 different answers. We could not print a statement that reflected the true balance. Every issue we had was "on our end". We did that for over 30 years. We were actually the first 10 clients of the software.

### "All-in-one software"

Overall, they were great. We were able to talk with technical staff as needed, and they were able to address our needs and concerns. They have a robust system that does pretty much everything in the same system.

Pros

Genesis does all the tasks needed to run a busy chiropractic office. They have the ability to link with other services to help with schedule reminders, X-ray software, and statement/payment on-line.

Cons

Not great for small office. The bigger the better. They charge for each add-on on a monthly basis, so watch your invoice to see if you are utilizing everything you are charged for. Only other down-side was the lag it contacting support for a live person was sometimes challenging. No direct phone to a representative, even after using their services for 5+years. Never knew who the first contact would be.

My overall experience has been amazing! Any time I've had a frustration they have addressed it imediately and solved my problems quickly. I am truly always impressed with care and attention they give my clinic, even though I am a very small clinic. I thought you would only get this service when you were running a big clinic!

Pros

I absolutely LOVE the functionality of this product! The training team was suburb at implementation and they continue to surprise me with how dedicated they are to making sure we are getting the most out of the system. I have been using Genesis for just shy of a year and the billing team has already helped me improve my billing and collect more, and I couldn't be happier to have those items off my teams list of 'to-do' items!

Cons

I honestly hated the cost the most.... at the beginning! When I first learned what this software was going to cost me, I thought I'd never be able to make those payments EVERY month. But what I can say now is that they have saved me money and helped me make gains in my collections and I couldn't be happier! The only big thing I think they could improve upon is their patient intake forms. The patients have a great online portal to fill them out on but it is not mobile friendly and that's difficult for a lot of my new patients coming in.

Excellent. Very impressed with the immediate attention and support we have gotten from Genesis. Managing the clearinghouse issues was extremely time consuming with other software, but Genesis handles all of these issues with pretty much seamless interface.

The multitude of tools that help manage Billing.

Documentation limitations due to our combined Chiropractic and Neurological needs as a multi-specialty practice.

From day one, they held our hand and did not let go for 6 months, as they moved us through the stages of learning, implementation and operation; they did not let go until we were super comfortable and confident with its use.

Pros

I can't say enough good thing about this company, its team, its delivery, its customer support, its training process, and its ability to make my job so much easier and efficient. I would pay twice what they charge for what they provide me both on the clinical documentation and compliance side and the financial tracking side.

Cons

I can't think of any. This has been the most well thought-out software in the market.

Over all experience? Ease of use! Great customer service!We also have access to everything we need on a minute-by-minute basis. We have a better handle on our business numbers/stats. Our Accountant loves that we have switched to GENESIS too. Month End reports, Point of Sales reports and projections are at our fingertips!

Pros

Oh my! What did I (we) like most? The PEOPLE we work with, at Genesis. They LOVE the software, they TEACH the software. They are exceptional, patient and friendly. Everyone has been great to us and office our our staff!

Cons

Our previous software was archaic! We are trudging through day-by-day. I (we) can't say what we like least about the actual GENESIS software. We have zero complaints. We are just thrilled with our decision to "go" with Genesis.

when a note is complete and sent to claims I wish you could set clients to automate the statement to send to email. Or if not possible before claim, automate statement to email instead of PDF/print to save then having to go into email to send.

### "Genesis helps my BRAIN!"

Have been able to accomplish all that we wanted with the software. I love Genesis! Even when other companies try to convince us otherwise, there's NO WAY I'm switching to something else. The TEAM, the Performance of the software and the end Results is why we remain with a company for 7 years!

Pros

Once you learn the system you'd be AMAZED at how well it does most of your thinking for you. It streamlines processes and patient info which helps with anything we need no matter where we are in our office the info is right at our fingertips. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] is the MOST helpful a great TEACHER and wouldn't be where we are in our practice without her.

Cons

There are some reports I'd be able to tweak or prefer differently but the programmers have to get to my request as it may not be top priority. Obviously when taking care of several businesses that's hard to make one person's request but they are ALWAYS open to hearing their clients requests and if they can make it happen they DO!

Before we switched to Genesis, we were unable to give up our physical files. We were operating on a mirrored hard drive system and local server and not cloud based. We had lost all faith in having an actual EHR and our insurance billing bottomed out due to our lack of confidence and the current work shortage that left us with no insurance department. I sleep better at night knowing that if any staff member were to leave tomorrow, we have experts ready to train our new staff immediately. For the first time in my career, I feel like I have a partner in practice!

Pros

While not a fan of EHR or insurance, we have realized a near 300% increase in insurance collections just one month in and I can sleep at night knowing that the notes are audit proof. The real time monitoring of correct billing such as use of modifiers and meeting diagnosis criteria are amazing. The only thing I can appreciate as much or more is the ease of creating macros for types of patients and their respective diagnosis. SOAP notes for an exam take less than 3 minutes in many cases.

Cons

There's really no way around this one because they have thought of nearly everything. The screens are small font but if they are going to be able to do all that is needed in today's highly regulated health care documentation environment, this is necessary. I find that their intense ongoing training and continued use are more than making up for this.

Pros

I like that we are able to set up tasks and assign them to different users and follow up/keep track of them. You can add quick stops. scheduling treatment plans are alot easier. Billing has been easy once you get the hang of it.

Cons

Every time you have to open a different tab you will most likely have to refresh the tab to make it look the correct way. If you are on a tab too long it will start acting up and you will have to refresh and pull up that certain patient again. The appt type are not grouped/linked for example if you have an appt with two diff things scheduled you will have to cancel both appt not just one. Quick stop don't pop up when you open the patient chart, so they can easily get missed.

The customer support is phenomenal. They are available for my staff and i whenever we have questions and have the answer, or go find it. They have training to support us and increase what we get out of the software.

Pros

There are so many features to use with genesis. At first it was overwhelming, but as i got used to the software it became easier to use and incorporate. I get more reactivations, better commitment from patients, communication with staff and increased collections because of the software.

Cons

There are so many reports it gets tough to sort through them to find the ones i really want to use. I had training on this and still know there are things i could learn.

The software is very user friendly. I am responsible for training the end users in my office and it has been a relatively easy task due to the setup and functionality of the site overall.

Pros

We switched over to the Supernote format of SOAP notes and we are very pleased with the end result when printing Medical Records for patients and for Referrals The patient portal is great for capturing info and it transfers all the information into the SOAP note Integration with credit card processor is seamless Great scheduling format

Cons

When I have to make an adjustment to a claim after money has been posted to it, nightmare!

All the data collected helps us keep track of all patient's details: their appointments, transactions, all their files are in one easy-to-find spot!

Pros

My favorite thing about this software: different color blocks for different patient appointments, intuitive use, adding pop-ups upon patient check-in, all the detail you can add to their travel card. It allows more than one person to use the software from other computers in the office.

Cons

I am confident that Genesis will update and improve the software as needed. I am very pleased.
