Seamless integration with Microsoft tools like Excel and Teams. Low-code accessibility for non-technical users. AI capabilities for automation and insights. Flexible deployment on web and mobile. The interfaces are clean even if non so fancy in terms of graphics. However, the same standard interfaces are great for data entry. Pros I like the fact that is easy to use by allowing the composition of apps without great programming skills. The latest features like the possibility to create apps starting from description using copilot or by simply uploading an excel file are killer features respect to similar products on the markets. Cons The fact that it is a little bit tricky to connect on-premise datasource. So for example it is possible to read SAP ECC7 on premise tables an to call BAPI function however the setup of such connections is not so easy to be implemented. This does not means that the functionality is lost but for a non IT person it would be nearly impossible to do such kind of setup without the help of skilled professionals. Pros PowerApps allows us to customise and deploy front ends that are secure whilst attaching to SharePoint databases. We benefit from the single Microsoft login for both products and the confidence that the data behind them is secure. Cons Can be a bit of a pain to depot changes across multiple environments (dev / test / live) and some users just can't get their heads around why they can't bookmark a page of the app from their browser address bar.
