" December 11, 2017 5.0 Pros The ease of use and the ability to select an entire class at a time. It makes it pretty easy to keep the class on a roll if they're all meeting expectations. It's a solid way of collecting data and making sure we are reaching our students. Cons The app still does not function correctly on phones. We have used this for two years now with the promise that we will be able to use our phones to run the program but there always seems to be something wrong with it so we have to use it from the website and with a barcode scanner. July 22, 2017 5.0 Student positive behavior has increased and students that would normally be unnoticed are being rewarded. Pros It allows for instant positive tracking. Students and parents can know that their behavior is being noticed. Kids that normally go unnoticed are being rewarded for awesome behavior. May 9, 2018 5.0 I can track all of the positives and negatives a student has done in class all in one place. It is easy to use, students enjoy getting the positive points especially when they are getting a reward such as a dress down for being top earners within the school. This has given some students incentive to work hard and to try to avoid negative behaviors. For these students, Hero has had a positive impact. Pros I like that I can do bulk trackings for when my whole class has done something positive such as stayed on task and worked well together or won a class competition, I can reward everyone at once. Cons I do not like that I can not see the history of points for a student. This would enable me to tell students if they have centrals (for infractions) and if I have given a student points or not when forgotten. Review Source TH Tanisha H. There are so many things we can use it for. I love the fact that we can print our detention passes and this system takes care of our tardies on Aeries. Cons On the phone it is hard to scan the ID's. I like that students are motivated to do well, so they work really hard at it. I like that we can also track troublesome behaviors discreetly and that the administration received the alerts to manage negative student behaviors, without requiring communication from me. Cons I think the program is difficult to manage outside of the classroom, unless you have a scanner. The program also is not as user friendly as it could be, which interferes with my teaching, as it takes a lot of time to perform the log entries for a large class. Review Source TB Tira B. I also like that parents get notifications about students' behaviors. I like that there is an app for it.
