I like the fact that we can use it for scheduling, template creating, PDFs etc all in one. Cons I find myself creating workarounds in place of functionality that would be ideal (i.e. more robust conditional fields (if, AND, OR, ELSE statements...etc). Owner - CEO Construction Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "SiteCapture for Solar Installer" November 19, 2024 5.0 Pros The ability to stay organized with multiple users both W2 and contractors all in one spot with regard to surveys both pre and post project installation across 50+ projects monthly along with surveys for each of those projects prior to isntallation. Cons Templates are "go forward" with updates and do not allow updates to active or completed surveys so a hard cut date must be defined and enforced. This is especially challenging when using contractors who may already have had templates set up for work to be completed as they must create new surveys each time there is an update. Senior Operations Manager Construction Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Great options for multiple applications" December 2, 2024 5.0 Pros We use SiteCapture for several purposes, from site surveys for roofing, solar, batteries, & generators, to funding packages sent to lenders and photos for third party inspections. Our team leads are able to create different templates for our various user and job types in SiteCapture, ensuring the correct photos are taken for each application. We also appreciate the high resolution that's maintained, bulk downloads, and timestamps. Cons The creation of templates is a little confusing, and it could be easier to "deactivate", overwrite or delete old templates that aren't relevant any longer. Also, a quick option to send a new invite email or link to an existing user would be helpful. Currently, if a user loses their login details, we have to go in and manually change their password from the office rather than a more secure link/email sent directly to the user. Many good additions and progress has been made over the years. I think it is a good product and with continual advancement can become a great product. Pros The customization of the templates, ability to filter by most important fields, adding photos to specific line items, tags and chat features. Also, the ability to look at work orders by property is helpful Cons I think it is still missing some features that would make it a great product. For example, the ability to parse out a projects into smaller work orders and have visibility to the completion at the entire project level. It can also be cumbersome to look through larger work orders, especially with many photos since it runs a little slower in those cases. SiteCapture offers excellent performance with virtually no downtime, ensuring a smooth and reliable experience. Cons When downloading unit data, there was no option to download everything in one go. Instead, we had to batch downloads by applying filters and specific criteria. By using the APIs, it is super easy to fetch any information from any project we can. Pros How user-friendly is, especially for operations crew. Cons It is lacking a video feature. In other words, it would be amazing to at least show videos in our Site Capture, in case we want home owners to take pictures or get information, and videos are a great way to show the process. April 5, 2018 5.0 Pros It's adaptability. After they set up my initial forms, I have the ability to go in and alter the forms are create new ones. They have a "conditional logic" feature that proved an invaluable tool for one of my departments who historically struggled getting the proper information from customers. Mostly, anytime I have an idea or a need, they are always willing to find a solution. It's not just a business relationship, it's a true partnership. Cons I use this software to document punch list items on small deliveries (any damage or incorrect order etc...). This only uses a small portion of what FotoNotes is capable of so I may not be the best person for this question. For my large projects where there are multiple punch list items and requires the ability to import CAD drawings, FotoNotes currently does not have that capability. That's not a knock on FotoNotes, it's not what their software was intended for. Review Source KF Kellie F. April 10, 2018 5.0 Pros The ability to create and customize our own forms to meet our various client's requirements in a real-time manner extremely beneficial. We were able to connect FotoNotes as our mobile application to an existing internal application via the API which made integration very simple. Also, all of the meta-data captured with the photos including date/time stamp, username and GPS location has proven very valuable to us in preventing fraud attempts. Cons There is not much that I don't like about the software. I wish the web interface for admins/managers was a bit faster. Also some more robust reporting capabilities would be helpful, however we can get at most of the raw data and manipulate it into the reports we need currently. Review Source JB Jim B. Configuring various custom inspections that are tailored for our business is very intuitive and can be done by an operational manager, without needing to know software coding. The ability to quickly create customized inspections and roll out an easy to use mobile inspection platform has allowed our organization to move away from paper forms and disconnected digital pictures. The FotoNotes sales and support teams have always been very accommodating and easy to work with. Working through unique business problems or getting assistance for users in the field has always been easy. Cons The job estimating platform works, but is not as robust as some other software. Pros I thoroughly enjoyed using FotoNotes because of the simplicity the software offers its users. It has turned hectic into easy. I like that the software is able to be used by employees from there phones instead of worrying about carrying around a bulky laptop . Forms can be electronically sent saving time and money.
