Pros: all of the information that you can have on a account. I like the fact that we can have this soft ware work with other software and get a more uniform system.

Overall: We replaced 30 year old software so it sounds like this would be fantastic. Well it will be once we learn the advantages of the superior system, to what we were used to.

Pros: No need to be concern about compatibility issue and they are constantly improving the software based upon customer needs

Cons: I prefer to have the ability to create reports on my own without putting a request to the developer. So far there is no report writer (yet).

Overall: No backup necessary. No extra hardware (server) necessary. Easy access from any machine that has internet. Do not need to worry about upgrading the software because of compatibility issues.

Pros: Customer support is excellent ... easy to use and understand... I can't write 100 words about everything because I am looking 100% overall that we are very happy with everything. haha hope this is ok !

Cons: Some of the reports could be simplified and more to suit our needs. Sometimes while printing address labels it will print past customers addresses who moved out of town.

Pros: Following the steps doing the daily work and the monthly is very informative and I feel it's easy to follow. I still make mistakes , but the support I have with Muni-Link has been excellent and informative. Any problems I encounter they help me fix. I am impressed with how this program
works for our small village. I would recommend this program to anyone who would be interested.

Cons: The thing I do not like is the way the credit cards are handled. I think there should be an easier
way to put the payments into the system and not have to go in and download them from Munici-Pay
I' m used to a credit card machine that prints a receipt for the customer and at the end of the day, you do a batch to close it out.

Overall: The benefits I have gotten have been the ability to get daily things done in a mannerly time and know that the things are done accurately. If you have any doubts before you post your entries, you are able to check before you go any further. Very impressive.

Pros: THE SOFTWARE IS VERY EASY TO USE. SUPPORT IS GREAT AND THEY ARE VERY PROMPT AND RESOLVING ANY ISSUES

Overall: MAKES THE DAILY TASKS MUCH EASIER TO USE. OLD SYSTEM WE USED WAS A NIGHTMARE. LEFT WORK STRESSED EACH DAY WHICH NO LONGER HAPPENS BEING THAT I HAVE A SYSTEM THE WORKS CORRECTLY.

Pros: All the options from one screen and ease of use. Staff support is there to help anytime when needed.

Cons: Billing process can be touchy, but we only bill quarterly so the more I use it hopefully the easier it will be. Wish editing meter readings when an error is made would be easier.

Comments: Since converting to Muni-Link in October 2015 our company has noticed significant changes within the billing, payments, and collections structure. When compared to our previous billing software company, Muni-Link is 2nd to none. When confronted with a question or concern their support staff will provide a response quickly. They are very helpful and informative providing great support throughout the entire process. Everyone that I have met at Muni-Link has been very courteous and well-educated in their specific line of work.
The billing/collections side of the software is wonderful. The proof in the numbers speaks for itself. We have noticed positive changes in our collections process, payment plans and an overall increase in monies coming in. With our previous billing company these numbers only grew negatively and were never addressed or resolved. It was comforting knowing that Muni-Links' software already has features installed to collect on those monies immediately. We have a 25,000 customer base that changes daily and Muni-Link efficiently tracks customer deposits, refunds, past-dues, etc. Overall we are very pleased with the services provided and the cost for those services. I would recommend Muni-Link to others in the utility billing industry!

Comments: Up until May of 2009 we did our own sewer billing. The software program we were using was no longer being supported, so we needed to come up with another program. The water company had wanted to do our sewer billing for years, saying they would simply add our sewer charges to their monthly water bills. We had the water company do our billing from June 2009 through July 2012. Without going in to detail, having the water company do our billing was certainly not ideal. When we did our own billing (approximately 2,400 customers) we billed quarterly. Once the water company did our billing, our customers were used to receiving a monthly bill. We wanted to keep billing monthly, but thought we couldn't handle the work load, so we looked for a service bureau to do the work. This decision was less than desirable and resulted in unnecessary work for us. Then Muni-Link walked in the door! We were impressed with their demo. We went with Muni-Link as soon as we could free ourselves of our commitment with the previous company. We collected receipts in March of 2014 and did our first billing in April of 2014. The individual doing the setup and training was great, made himself available outside of normal business hours to get the job done. If something needed to be or corrected for us, either he or the team was on it. Once we were through the training process, he moved on to set up others and we were shifted to the support staff. The support staff is very friendly and eager to help, from a simple question of I forgot what to do, how to accomplish a task not previously done. We needed a quarterly report showing specific information. They provided us with the info and will create a report specifically for us to run in the future.
When we needed to look for another software program in 2009 and 2012, we asked our auditors if they had any recommendations and they did not. However, now that they have seen Muni-Link (they were immediately impressed), and will now be able to say Muni-Link. The screens are easy to look at and well organized, steps to follow to complete a task are logical. It is very obvious there were countless hours of thought, design and work that have gone into producing this software and they continue to improve it. Everybody wants to find a product as great as this one, along with good support. We are so happy we made the switch and are confident that anyone else who chooses Muni-Link software will not be disappointed.

Comments: We converted over from our DOS based program to Link in March of 2013 and have been exceptionally pleased with this programs performance. Customer support has always been very responsive, and their new implementation of monthly webinars is very helpful.

The only reason for not giving an overall rating of 5 stars is the lack of ability to create custom reports. While they have a variety of reports available, they sometimes give more info than needed or not exactly what we are looking for combined in one report. If there was a way to select the info elements and order to be shown on one report, that would make this perfect!

Comments: This is a great billing software to use. It is very user friendly and easy to learn. The system methodically takes you through steps to create bills to ensure accuracy and provides reports to review in order to catch or correct mistakes prior to creating bills.

Posting payments is very quick and easy as the system automatically calculates and applies payments to the correct categories. I love that the system prints out customer receipts along with payment reports which shows the amounts posted to each category. This report is used for banking purposes which shows the amounts to be deposited into various accounts. The system will generate reports for accounting and auditing purposes which is a wonderful feature.

The system has alerts that you can place on accounts to quickly inform you of any unusual circumstances. There is a section for notes so you can keep track of customer issues.

The customer service is excellent! The customer service reps are very knowledgeable, friendly and great to work with. There is never a delay in getting help as phone calls are answered quickly and promptly. Emails are responded to within a short time frame.

The program is very affordable and is an excellent value. It reduces time, workload and stress. I have used this program for over a year and have not had any regrets or stressful issues with it. As with all software programs, there are always some small problems in the setup or in the first year while learning the program, but even those problems are quickly resolved.

Comments: The software services we started in October in 2014. Being that I was new going into the billing I really had a lot of support from muni-link. There are a lot of pros than cons. The employees are so positive in showing the system to me. We are in the 4 month of the system and I have learned a lot from the employees. My hands go off to Leigh, Jessica & Ashley for being so professional and kind to me on the new system. The system really is computer friendly and will be compatable to my needs near future.

Comments: When Muni-Link was first introduced to me I was a bit nervous with the change. The change over went smoother than I anticipated. Of course there were some growing pains, but the Muni-Link staff and customer service were excellent. I really want to let everyone know that Muni-Link's help desk is the greatest. If they can not give you the answer to your question right away you can guarantee they will get you the answer you need in a timely manor. We had Inhance as our last billing system and Muni-Link is so much better. They are definitely more user friendly with so many different options that I never knew even existed. I would recommend Muni-Link to anyone that is thinking about updating to a new billing system.
