### "An amazing and lovely app for your daily tasks"

October 10, 2021

5.0

It's a really amazing platform. When I used it for the first time it was mind-blowing. Nowadays, I'm even using it for my personal life projects and talking to people to use it as well. The learning curve is really small and people are empowered as they learn the 101 stuff. When you start using Miro you won't go back heheh.

Pros

I love Miro features, such as the timer, the simple but awesome way to put and organize cards throughout the screen, and that it is also free, if you want to use in your personal life. It's really an easy app to learn and when you do so, you will use it even for your routine. The integration with current processes in my team is amazing as well. We use it to brainstorm, do our Retros, and many other things.

Cons

Seeing other collaboration tools, such as Spatial and Google Meet, I feel there are some missing features, such as screen sharing or drop-and-go files (as in if you drop a pdf or ppt files it will show a slide bar, with each person seeing as it was in their computer). Talking with some people, there is one aspect that is really awesome but difficult do see: the tagging. We use it in the team for everyone to see who write what, but when I'm with other people, besides my team, they don't know this and other simple but effective features (change post-it color, duplicate with CTRL D, align with shift etc.)

### "Can't imagine life without Miro"

November 15, 2023

5.0

Miro is an indispensable tool for me. It has streamlined collaboration, enhanced productivity and fueled innovation in ways that I never imagined. Miro is critical to my business and work, and I recommend it for anyone seeking a powerful, user-friendly, collaborative platform to bring together their teams and amplify creative capabilities.

Pros

Miro has been a game-changer in my professional life. It's collaborative whiteboard features have seamlessly integrated into my workflow, enabling me to work with clients and colleagues around the country. Whether it's brainstorming sessions, organizing thoughts, or structuring strategies, Miro has been a linchpin of productivity and creativity for me.

Cons

It can be difficult to manage board access for people who aren't a part of your team. Miro offers view-only access, but I've run into trouble getting editable access for non-users.

### "My go-to tool for brainstorming and planning with a more visual approach"

May 11, 2021

5.0

Pros

I have been using Miro for a while, now, and I often find myself recommend it to the people I talk to. The overall platform principle of the infinite canvas is simply genius! You can have as many notes, projects and sketches as you please, all in the same place. Zooming in makes sure that you can see all the key information related to a specific project, while zooming out giving you a bird's eye view on the project itself or even on a more macro level, of the infinite canvas and all the projects in it. In particular, there are two features I like about Miro. Firstly, there are templates. Miro has an always-growing library of templates , which speed up the process of creating a valuable resource for brainstorming, planning or streamlining something, such as a concept map, a Kanban framework, a flowchart, or a customer journey, just to mention a few. You can simply pick a template and decide whether you want to use it blank (so its layout and "pieces of the puzzle" too) or with some actual content in it too. Then, there's the Miro smartphone app feature of the Stickies Capture. Get ready because this may sound like pure magic! Do you happen to have hand-written notes laying around in your office? Simply pull out your smartphone, open the Miro app and take a picture using the Stickies Capture. Miro will turn it into a digital and customizable post-it-note that will be added to your Miro canvas.

Cons

I wouldn't necessarily doubt this as the thing I like the least about Miro, but I'd still like to mention it because I think it's key... and it's the ability to easily navigate all the projects you have into your Miro infinite digital canvas. The problem is that there are so many projects you may plan or work on in a spot of a few days. Sometimes, I can get a bit tricky to easily find a specific project (or part of it) in a busy infinite canvas.

### "Through its collaborative features, all members can stay on the same page to reach ideal solutions"

June 9, 2022

5.0

For example, Miro allowed us to collaborate by making sure that all of our team members were involved, as well as getting their approval for the plans. This kept things very structured and streamlined a lot of the previously unnecessary procedures and meetings.

Pros

Miro has provided us with a platform for teamwork and communication that keeps everyone on the same page. For brainstorming solutions to problems and conducting effective interactive sessions, the Miro Whiteboard is a fantastic tool. It's great to be able to collect team members' thoughts and opinions on a certain issue using emojis, shapes, and colors, and then share that information with others. My favorite thing about his work is that it can be shared in a variety of ways because of his ability to stimulate team cooperation and encourage the sharing of ideas, information, plans, and stunning visuals for reporting. I enjoy Miro's user-friendly design, which everyone can immediately adjust to, and the abundance of ready-made templates that make it easy to create a suitable model for the subject at hand.

Cons

Miro is easy to use, straightforward and produces high-quality results. Miro has nothing to dislike except for the inefficiency of the mobile phone system.

### "Best Online Whiteboard Tool"

February 17, 2023

5.0

Excellent whiteboard cloud application which is accessible from anywhere with an internet connection, making it ideal for remote teams and distributed workforces. It is a digital canvas that can be customized with a wide range of templates, widgets, and integrations, making it suitable for a wide range of applications, including brainstorming, project management, design, and user experience testing.

Pros

Miro board allows and helps us and other teams to create diagrams, flowcharts, and other visual aids to enhance communication and collaboration. The platform is highly versatile and can be used for both individual and team projects, with a range of collaboration features. We use it on a weekly basis for task allocation, and for other major use cases like quarterly planning, for creating flow charts, diagrams, ERD's etc. It is highly customizable, with a wide range of templates, widgets, and integrations available. We also use it along with Jira, Slack, etc making it easy to integrate with existing workflows.

Cons

Not that I can think of at the moment. Currently I did not come across any flaws or issues.

### "Best collaboration tool"

July 29, 2021

5.0

Overall experience is great. Even if during this pandemic situation we used this a lot for any kind of discussions or any kind of meetings to clarify the stuff. This is the best tool for IT , Project management as well as Leadership.

Pros

Any Graph or flow chart or anything we wanted to discuss in the team for that Miro board is the best tool. Good for retrospective meetings and share the views with the limited time duration because it has a timer feature that is great. Great inbuild templates available for any kind of flow chart or creating diagram. Great export methods of the dashboards which can be easily shared between the Team. Great feature of Kanban creation. Overall the best tool for collaboration between the team.

Cons

Sometimes while giving tag to the component on the dashboard the name giving feature is not showing up. We need to click so mane times to come up. Limited shapes are available for Diagram. Standardized UML shapes are not available.

Reason for choosing Miro

Miro is the best product among all these as it is providing inbuilt features to use instantly. It is providing time options to limit the time for a meeting. It is providing a lot of canvas space to draw more wide and descriptive diagram which is really requires for a complex business.

### "User-Friendly Collaboration across Teams"

January 9, 2024

4.0

Felt really wow with it on the first glance.

Pros

The UI is perfect, clean, visually appealing and lag free. All in one tool which can be used for brainstorming, planning and communication. Drag and Drop functionality makes it very easy to create complex boards with ease, even if you use it for first time. There are multiple templates available as well as user created samples which help you plan ahead and get started quickly without any worry. Auto save and being able to see team members in action while working keeps everyone clear of any confusion which collaborating together.

Cons

Can be a little pricey for smaller teams, but free version is equally powerful. Offline availability and ability to export my board can be improved.

### "The Best tool for planning and managing a program increment"

May 28, 2021

4.0

We were looking for a way to tie our business value more closely with our processes. We needed transparency in the process in order to foster trust from our clients. To do that in the distributed environment, we pivoted to SAFe, and Miro made this a less painful process.

Pros

In the forced environment of remote work, we decided to pivot to SAFe for Teams from our standard Scrum we'd been using. When running the teams through training, we decided against using the SAFe platform after conferring with others in order to use Miro. The infinite whiteboard aspect works as designed, and helps us keep better track of the train during planning, all dependencies and the entire process from planning to retrospective in one easy-to-use location.

Cons

Though Miro was touted as being able to be used for Day to Day Kanban operations, we found that a function it was not well suited for. There's too much overhead, and the permissions are not granular enough for us to prevent unwanted problems in the board structure from people moving the incorrect things which slowed what was supposed to be a short ceremony down. It also doesn't integrate well with other platforms we use, which made updating in more than one location a pain.

### "My favorite whiteboarding tool."

April 6, 2023

5.0

Overall, I really like using Miro and find it to be the most effective whiteboarding tool that is out there for the price. It makes remote working much easier and is a great design tool.

Pros

I've used a lot of whiteboarding tools since I began remote work and Miro is my favorite one. It makes organizing ideas very easy. I often use it to create affinity maps and it's very easy to move sticky notes and organize them. Miro has a lot of great templates as well to help you keep ideas organized.

Cons

I don't have any huge dislikes for Miro. I wish that it was easier for guests to collaborate.

### "The original and still the best"

December 24, 2023

5.0

Pros

I don't know if Miro is truly the first collaborative web whiteboard or not, but it certainly feels like the best and most complete one that got sufficient traction to be widely used. It's super easy to use and that's critical because the whole point is to get your entire team engaged on the common boards, so it has to be easy enough that all your team members can participate.

Cons

The pricing is really the only thing I can complain about. The free tier is pretty limiting, which I understand, but now that so many other office suites come with a version of whiteboarding/mind-mapping/brain storming software (even Figma now has it), it's really tough to spend this much money on Miro unless you use it as a project management or full-blown UX tool as well. It's much easier to use FigJam, for example, as your brainstorming tool, than it would be to use Miro in place of a full Figma.

### "Essential for remote team collaboration on creative projects"

September 18, 2023

5.0

Miro has become my must-have remote whiteboard for team collaboration whenever a creative effort is needed, such as brainstorming, project planning, scope definition, etc. It's impossible to be effective when you work remotely without a tool like Miro.

Pros

I love the endless flexibility, myriad of templates available, the real feeling of being pretty much in the same room whiteboarding with so many people at the same time when you work remotely. I love the flexibility to add notes, create a new section on the fly, etc., while locking certain areas that are basic for the rest of the team's understanding of the task, which is critical to make the meeting effective. I love the breadth of visual elements to create flow diagrams, wireframes, scoring ideas, or whatever it is that you're trying to do. That's the beauty of Miro.

Cons

It requires some learning of how to use its full potential when you're new, such as locating useful templates, or learning how to lock/unlock sections/objects. It was a bit confusing for brand new team members who had never used Miro before. But that's only temporary of course, as more experience colleagues would always explain that quickly on a call. Just something to keep in mind when lots of people are unfamiliar with Miro: keep it simple the first time.

### "A tool that works"

April 11, 2023

5.0

I can recommend it to anyone who wants to get started with a project and just want to get some ideas flowing and to sort out and organize possibilities.

Pros

It is very easy to use without having to study a big manual first. I like that you can choose between several shaped boxes, colors and fonts. I use it mainly as a 'brainstorm box'...but think about to use it to create and track projects too.

Cons

As we all think and act in different ways, I'd like to see even more customization. Like to the point of - you think it and the software can do it. Be it size, color, using links, photos...you name it.

### "Meine Lieblings-Kollaborationstool"

April 5, 2023

5.0

### "The best in shared whiteboards"

February 11, 2021

4.0

Great for whiteboarding but the click bait to get you into using more features definitely distracts from getting the most out of that feature.

Pros

As a shared whiteboard tool for the remote era, it is awesome. It has the tools and templates to get the job done. It has some other tools you didn't know you needed to go with the whiteboarding, these will differ by team.

Cons

Beyond the basic whiteboarding, it is a jack of all trades and master of none. There is way too much functionality (issue tracking, project management etc) that most people have some other software that both does the job better and integrates with their other systems. These other pieces of functionality aren't easy to turn off, leading to many conflicting uses of the system, and overly busy UI. Also they are clearly distracting the development teams from adding the more immediately useful features. Don't try and do too many things. Focus on what you are good at. Change reporting is way too limited to be useful.

### "The key to my research/audit process"

October 1, 2023

5.0

Pros

Miro's infinite space is really helpful for the research / audit parts of my projects. I am able to put so many links and notes onto the boards without getting bogged down with design. My background is in design so sometimes over-designing stops me from just flowing, but not on Miro. I love the way I can drop links onto the board and it shows the headline and key pic. I love the way I can see where teammates are on the board. I love all the items I can place onto the board like sticky notes, lines, arrows, charts, etc.

Cons

I wish I could turn on "invisible mode" or something so that I could browse the board without a teammate seeing that I'm on and without me seeing that they're on. This will take away the pressure of feeling like I am being watched while I work. I also wish there was a way to put the board in "low res" mode or something that would keep the board from getting so slow when it has so many links and stickies and such on it. Lastly, I find it confusing what team my boards are on or what team I've made or what account I'm logged into.

### "Miro helps collaborative thinking and visualization"

November 13, 2023

Miro has greatly simplified our ability to efficiently prepare for and address issues with current initiatives. It has reduced the need for back-and-forth emails by providing a more engaging medium for sharing information.

Pros

One of the best things about using miro is that it's just like having a virtual whiteboard to write down and draw out your thoughts. We can collaborate, plan, etc. virtually as my team is all overseas.

Cons

However, Miro could improve this service by adding smart groups and data grouping and upgrading live conversation video.
