Pros: With everything on the same platform, it makes it easy to get a complete overview of your business. Less interfaces and information only needs to be put in to the system ones.
Because it is based on MS Dynamics NAV it gives a lot of possibilities to add extra functionalities.
With Ceniums new mProduct series it is now also possible to take the work with you on the floor and not always sit behind a desk.

Cons: Can be too flexible sometimes so work processes can be done in many different ways.

Overall: Highly recommend Cenium because it covers all areas in hospitality and accounting. Easy to use and have an understanding of the business. Is innovated and have a centralized solution for small hotels to big hotel chains.

Pros: A complete view of the organization made possible thanks to the truly integrated nature of the ERP platform. Cenium enables the user to drill into data and perform analytics unlike any other hospitality solution.

Much easier for our lean IT department to manage. One software vendor to deal with rather than many. Easy to deploy once configured. Familiar user interface (think Outlook) reduces training time. User profile and interface very easy to customize.

Very scalable. This is the property-wide solution for us today and tomorrow.

Cons: Implementation and configuration is challenging, but that is due to the ERP functionality.

As with many (relatively) new applications, documentation and "help" functionality could be improved.

The sheer scale of deploying an ERP system means disrupting legacy systems for the entire property. The importance of "change management" cannot be emphasized enough.

Overall: Did my GM think I was nuts to recommend a system virtually no one knew? Yes, it is less riskier to stick with and recommend a best-of-breed solution (or should I say solutions since it means buying and deploying multiple systems from multiple vendors... what a minute, that's not easier). We are already seeing the benefit of an ERP solution. However, I don't think we will truly appreciate and value the power of Cenium until it is fully deployed and management has come to embrace or rather depend on Cenium for managing our business.

Pros: Built on the MS Dynamics NAV platform, this single database, all-encompassing hospitality solution represents the future of the hospitality industry. A single platform solution that covers all aspects of resort operations including Finance, Procurement, HR, PMS, Retail, F&B, Sales and Marketing, Conference, and Recreation (Spa, Golf, Ticketing, Rentals, Passes, Memberships, Lessons, etc). The solution provides a complete guest itinerary from the booking process to fulfillment to all back office operations. This one of a kind "world class" application can eliminate up to 30 applications typically used by a large resort organization. The solution also allows for rapid development by piggybacking on core functionality provided by the Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP environment.

Cons: Single platform environment requires thorough testing across all business units after any upgrade. Unlike traditional so called "best of breed" deployments which isolate applications; this is truly a single solution and all areas share common objects. This means that even fixes to just the PMS component requires testing across all business units.

Overall: Like any ERP solution, the application requires commitment and ownership. If your organization is looking for the ultimate solution for your property and you understand what an ERP system involves, then Cenium offers you the solution. This is without a doubt, the most comprehensive solution for the hospitality industry. It will be the "enabler" to move your business ahead of the competition, deliver the ultimate guest satisfaction, achieve operational efficiencies and the associated cost savings.
