### "Don't buy Kareo. The only thing guaranteed is that you will lose money and customers."

Totally a disaster. I can not say anything but a complete failure. Patients cannot access the portal. 8 out of 10 patients cannot access the portal. The system constantly says that the DOB is not correct. Kareo intends that for each patient who cannot access the portal, the clinic performs a test. The system does not communicate in any email other than Gmail. Forget about being able to send intake forms or anything to patients who have Yahoo, and Hotmail, among others. For each claim, Kareo intends to do a test. If you decide to use Kareo, you better hire staff in your clinic just to make claims and do tests with Kareo every day. You cannot itemize invoices. The system is not easy to use. It cannot be customized. I can't recommend it. I guarantee you will lose money and customers.

Cons

I can't say anything positive. The experience has been so frustrating that I can't think of anything positive. All I can think about is how embarrassed I'll be with my next patient who can't access the portal.

### "Loving the new Telehealth"

Pros

I love the simplicity and layout of Kareo, making my day to day tasks much easier and less time consuming. I’m also loving the new integrated telehealth interface. It’s simple and direct and that’s always a plus in healthcare.

Cons

Kareo can sometime run slow or lag, I’m sure this is due to being inundated with updates and users but it does disrupt flow when Kareo does not work properly.

Price and reviews. Kareo just seemed like a great product for the price.

### "Best billing software among others"

Problems that I have solved by using Kareo is not having to deal with a clearinghouse at all...it saves me tons of time. Kareo is so much easier to learn and get up and running from the start compared to so many softwares out there....it's just a terrific experience and I highly recommend it!!

Pros

Being linked automatically with a clearinghouse and the ease of submitting claims and rebilling is far better than other softwares I have ever used. The ability to enter data is far easier and quicker than with those other softwares.

Cons

There's only 1 thing I have not liked about the software and that is the inability to modify all reports. For example statements/receipts to patients for payments they make. The provider return address is not in the upper left hand corner of the statement/receipt so it can be mailed...I have to handwrite the return address on it. Also there isn't a single report that can be given to a patient that contains the provider info, patient info, services and all their pertinent info plus any payments and adjustments so they can turn them in to their insurance or claim rep. I have to submit 2 separate reports.

### "Terrible Experience"

Pros

Not much. The orange guy logo? That about sums up my likes. I have nothing nice or positive to contribute.

Cons

Kareo is outdated and difficult to navigate compared to other available software. It lacks functionality and intuition, completely incapable of anticipating the needs of its user. The ability to sort through super bills is RIDICULOUSLY inefficient. (I have many examples of poor software design, that is making my life hell.) The soft ware has so many "An unexpected error has occurred" alerts that prevents me from entering the patient chart and no one on the support team ever knows how to fix it. I was unable to view my patient charts for 7 days with NO SOLUTION from program designers. There is a significant lack of accountability for their shortcomings which needs to be addressed urgently. I am getting further and further behind in my documentation because this error message prevents me from viewing notes at all. I have been told 2x now that a supervisor will call me back. NO ONE ever does. It was fixed very briefly last week, but here I am again... MASSIVE improvements to expand the functionality are needed. Kareo is not a big player in our market, and likely never will be if big changes are not made. Immediate attempts to find SOME tools that will drive efficiency are critical. This EHR software is NOT designed to save medical organizations time and effort in processing patient information, as much as they may think it does.

Kareo University is nice, but people want to talk to a human being. Every time I try to get help I'm just referred to the Kareo University. I'm not stupid, I've already gone there and need more help

Pros

Very easy to use software. The installation and set up was seamless.

Cons

A few glitches on the online payment platform. Patient are told to sign into the patient portal to see an itemized statement. That is not possible if only using the billing platform as a standalone module.

### " Patient Pop user"

Our overall experience has been good with PatientPop and no major issues. However, if you are looking for custom built website and not a template website this may not be the company for you. Just confirm before you sign up on what kind of design or outline you are looking for as they may not be able to make those requests happen.

Pros

What our practice likes most about this software is that this program includes so many extra features that other companies would charge you extra for! I enjoy the content team part of PatientPop with social media, paid social and the blogs on the topics you chose.

Cons

What I don't care for is the lack of direct person that will handle your account, if there is something you would like changed/updated to your website. You have to go through a support ticket and wait for a random person to help with your concerns. If there was a main point of contact for everything that would make the process so much better.

Frustration abounds.

Pros

Simplicity. I can’t really think of anything else. Actually, it is one of the less expensive EHRs

Cons

This software platform has been down all day. This has made it extremely difficult to prescribe and see my patients. The telemedicine Is a separate department and does not integrate with the rest of the system. Responsiveness is minimal and appears to happen only when I threaten to leave .

### "Kareo EHR"

Support has been outstanding. They can be reached within moments. There have not been any systems issues so Support has been used to determine how something functions. Our coach has taught us a lot and continues to reach out to see if we need anything.

Pros

The office is using Kareo EHR. The platform is modern and fast. It is available on PC, iPad, and iPhone which allows easy use in and out of the office. Patients like electronic reminders. Since the EMR is working well, my biller will being using Kareo PM shortly.

Cons

The platform doesn’t have a way to order requests that are not labs or imaging studies but we have used a round about to address this. Kareo upgrades system monthly so this may be addressed in the future.

Kareo pricing is fair and the product is robust. Support with Practice Fusion was poor during the trial period and Aethna pricing is high. I am very happy with my decision to switch to Kareo.

We implemented Kareo into 3 of our behavioral health clinics a few years ago to get rid of paper charts and improve our collection processes. Not only were those 2 goals met, we have seen an increase in patient satisfaction, provider compliance with documentation, and our clinical processes have become streamlined. Kareo has benefited not only our business, but our patients which is our top priority.

Pros

Kareo has everything any practice and/or speciality would need from an EHR / PM system. Kareo has a user-friendly scheduling platform that allows office staff to efficiently complete their duties. Our providers have had a positive experience with the clinical platform that allows them to e-prescribe, document effectively, as well as ensure compliance with CMS, MACRA, MIPS, etc. The billing platform is also easy to use, but what I like most is the reporting system. You can literally run a report for anything! Kareo rocks!

What is there not to like? Kareo is the only way to go! #teamkareo

Kareo billing is great - from the encounter to the settlement of the claims it truly does its job.

Pros

Ease of use, reporting and solid support. Compatible with WebPT.

Cons

Management of the Patient Portal could use some fine tuning. Some of our patients are having a difficult time with it and I'm not sure how to support them on our end.

Overall it is a good program. It needs some slight modifications that would make it an excellent platform for physical/occupational therapists. The foundation is there, just need a few extra things and "tweaks"

Pros

Ease of use, intergration of components. Having a fax number directly attached to it is nice. Kareo University is a good resource, and the videos are easy to understand for the most part. I like that there is a success coach \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] is awesome btw, 10/10 stars)

Cons

Getting the insurances set up has been difficult. I'm still working on getting them set up and I have no clue which ones Kareo is working on and which ones need me to do something to complete. There are a few features that are set up in the software that unnecessary and make it more difficult for physical therapy practice. I.E. Inability to uncheck the "send summary of care" box when faxing a physician a copy of the evaluation to be signed, etc. Another example would be that I don't want a review sent to a patient every visit (they come 2-3x/wk and they get a request to do a survey after every visit). Ideally the survey would be sent upon discharge. I have not found a way to change that setting.

### "Customer service so poor you may never discover any redeeming benefits "

I am puzzled by previous positive reviews that I read when researching products for a new practice compared to my experiences with other products in the past and my experiences in trying to implement Kareo. When Kareo was free, people must felt it sufficed and not worth complaining. The total lack of response to questions or complaints is surreal. I do not see how this company can survive. I'm trying to figure out whether to bail out now or try to adapt to get at least something from my investment of time so far.

Pros

It allows flexibility to structure notes to include narrative information.

Cons

Can't get answers to questions or any sensible follow up from startup coach who always states that he will check with a colleague and get back to us but never does. This is the worse customer service I have ever experienced in my life. Requests to talk with a supervisor lead nowhere. No one responds. Chat line staff sign off on problem tickets before reported problem resolved. Problems abound in almost every area--saved notes disappear without explanation, e-prescribing is cumbersome and not suited to work flow typical office practice. There is no training module and no instrcutions available for the e fax services through updox, no glossary of error messages, not reliable transmission to send or receive.

easy to use and navigate. fast and user friendly

Cons

if you are going to sign up as a group: make sure that you are an account owner also because you can be removed from the account and not have access to your own notes. the owner owns your notes. the migration process takes time and notes do not come over, only patient demographics and schedule. medications do not migrate over either. Its a hassle to move your data over.

### "I do not recommend this company"

The entire experience with this company has been awful. I signed up with the understanding that it was a month to month contract. I have not been given access to telemedicine and when I request to be given an estimated or access I did not receive a response. When I have an appointment to set up the up the software, it turns out the it is not compatible with Mac (which I was not told when I signed up) and they are not able to get the software to make it compatible. An appointment was scheduled the next day then cancelled for the same reason. 5 days in I ask to cancel and customer service is extremely condescending with their only reasoning for me to stay is that "I haven't given them a chance" (which I did by signing up and they are not able to provide the service) then go on to state that they are interpreting the contract to be a full year and would charge me the price despite not being able to give me a date as to when the telemedicine would start or come to any resolution about being compatible with Mac (which they state on the phone they cannot). They continue to be argumentative. I advise that still want to cancel. They tell me they will call back that day or the next day. I call back the next day and am transferred then put on hold then told the person I spoke yesterday will call back tomorrow. This person then goes on to argue with me on the phone about every issue that I bring up. This company has the worst customer service I have every seen and is very evasive.

I really can't say a pro given I have not gotten access

Cons

Poor customer service, poor communication between departments and between the company and customers, misleading sales tactics and communications, not able to be given a timeframe for access prior to requesting to cancel

Affordable and portable. Mostly intuitive and easy for me to train others, but PLEASE fix the diagnosis section.

Pros

easy to use, can log in from phone, desktop, iPad, laptop--portable!

Cons

diagnoses section if POOR!!! ICD 10 should automatically populate with most often used codesd--not the hundreds of NEVER used, obscure ICD 10 codes that require me to scroll through--also, some are listed as "conditions" and do not carry over in the diagnosis section. This is a real pitfall for this software and way too much of my time is spent on another software looking up codes since they do not populate well on Kareo--I keep hoping that this is being upgraded/ updated! Also, ROS should carry over if SALT option is selected.

Pros

I like that I can see my patient schedule through using the Kareo app. I also like the ability to use the desktop version over the web based version. Kareo has great reports for therapists productivity and claim status. The reports are much easier to navigate than previous software programs I have used. This is important as a business owner of a private practice.

Cons

I wish it were easier to print an appointment list for my patients. With physical therapy patients come for multiple visits and this report is somewhat different to reproduce. I have several patients that voice concern over hearing the automated telephone response calls, I wish this could be made clearer for patients.

Kareo is extremely easy to navigate. Customization for what you prefer is an excellent feature. The ability to complete various tasks such as billing, entering notes, etc. is very efficient.

Cons

The price for this software is beginning to be a bit high for our practice, but the software itself is amazing.

Horrible experience. Not worth your money or time. There is a cancellation fee which is hidden in a contract. No assistance. This company is a joke.

Pros

This company is a scam. Everything they tell you about this company is a lie.

Cons

They have no staff to help you get set up. You’ll be on call for an hour every time you have a question and you’ll have 1 hr every two weeks with someone to answer your questions. If you miss that appointment you’ll have to wait another two weeks.

It is my purpose to spread my awful experience that I went through with everyone so that no one has to go through it also. Once you sign that contract, they will not allow you to terminate it under any circumstances unless you pay it out entirely.

Pros

Nothing, it was not user friendly in any way.

Cons

The worst customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life. Condescending "supervisors" and it took nearly 2 weeks to even get into contact with one.

Kareo has made billing a smooth process and accounts receivable is manageable in a timely fashion. Any issues are clearly identified and resolved.

Pros

The ability to perform a little extra claim scrubbing on the front end and also simple explanations for any rejections or denials.

Cons

The system gets very slow periodically and we are not able to use the document storage because it slows it down even more.
