Buyers Beware. They will keep your GA information as if they were the owners.

Pros

We no longer are a part of the company. We left them a year ago and have been trying to get our GA account back since.

Cons

They won't give us back our GA account. They added it to their GA account as if they own it.

Kareo works well for what we need, though we would prefer to have a bit more luck with glitches and feature requests than we do from premium support and our Kareo rep.

Pros

Kareo works well, and compared to some other billing software I use, it is pretty user friendly. Especially when paired with Kareo EHR it works well for full billing from front to back

Cons

Kareo has some long term glitches that have never been fixed, though I am sure we are not the only ones submitting "feature requests" for these things. For example, accounts become very slow and lag extensively (up to a minute to open) if there are too many notes in the account, or documents scanned into Kareo often open up out of order.

Very good for Billing and System interface with insurance companies. Customer support very good. I have not added patient records or additional services due to cost.

Pros

Ease of setting up patients, billing and system interface with insurance companies.

Cons

I have not tried the medical records, or additional services due to cost. I have no complaints about what I use. It did not increase in cost last year, but it did increase by 5% every years from 2013 to 2019. If I didn't have an office manager I would consider the additional services such as appointment notices, medical records. Kareo is more adaptable to a medical practice than mine.

Customer service was extremely unhelpful. Slow response times. Gave me a wrong answer and I had to troubleshoot a big issue (sound on telemedicine calls) myself. Not being able to hear my clients was a huge issue, but they had no idea how to help me. I'm now less than 6 months in to a contract and locked in no matter what. They put all their effort into sales with no follow up. It was extremely hard to schedule with those who were assigned to help me set up Kareo. They follow a script and are pretty inflexible (don't tailor setup to your needs).

Pros

Cheaper than other solutions (now I know why), more simple than other more expensive EMRs, has e-prescribing

Cons

Very buggy, not intuitive, trouble writing note during a telehealth appointment, didn't love how the schedule displays (no way to change). Billing is needlessly complicated (especially for a solo practice!), notes weren't very intuitive to change/use.

It is a great overall software. Hopefully, with the move/merger with , Patient Pop the customer service improves.

Pros

The application and features themself are great. Overall, easy to use and pick-up. Very comparable ease of use compared to Athena or Epic. So far, I have received good feedback from patients using the portal.

Cons

Insurance and account set-up was sloppy and slow. Emails to the support teams are either very slow to respond or just will never respond. The billing software is not integrated but needs to be opened and processed separately and that software is old and janky (but usable). I like the product and will continue to use it, but having second thoughts

Ease of use, quality and compatible with mobile & desktop, not requiring clients to download any software (web based)

Cons

Common links for all clients and clients who are not scheduled sometimes join the session and we have to let them know that they joined early.

Overall I use Kareo to schedule our patients and locating available spots or locating patients is easy.

Pros

Reading the schedule and adding patient information is very easy to figure out even if you are a first time user.

Cons

Having a maximum amount of windows and having to close some when all were open. Also when there are duplicate accounts for one patient you cannot merge them.

I tried it for 2 weeks...it was very inefficient and time consuming. I cancelled it in 2 weeks; they are crooks and still charging me 7 months later! they wont return ph calls and very deceitful. -the customer service is horrible, not knowledgeable. - a Con company, not delivering on the promise of the salesman... stay away.

Pros

Salesman promised the moon. Kareo Video training was helpful Making shortcuts was easy

Cons

\-Too many unnecessary clicks, too many windows -too cumbersome, not intuitive, based on legacy system, - the whole workflow is not efficient, too cumbersome

I recently retired from a busy solo Endocrine practice, but wanted to continue to use an EMR to take care of family and close friends (to enter notes, updates, write scripts, order labs and imaging, etc). It was an easy transition, and Kareo is very flexible.

Pros

Very easy and intuitive, nice flow. You don't need your own server, as you use the internet for connectivity, and I find the speed to be quite good. Can train on your own via "Kareo University", but they offer a one-on-one training session with a physician to answer any questions and give suggestions. After finishing training, help is still available if needed.

Cons

ICD-10 codes don't pop up as well as my previous EMR, and might need to go through a few more steps on basic functions.

Pros

Pricing Is the only thing about it. They made a great presentation and snookered my staff

Cons

Bait and switch. Difficult to use. Doesn’t remember any of your templates. The billing portion drove my staff crazy. Terrible support

That they haven't created more ways to Integrate fully and create a platform for patient check in and forms to transition over. If they can do this I would have no need for any other platform. They definitely have a nitch for making the digital Medical Office profitable and functional.

I do not find some of your Tech team to be knowledgeable. I have sent copies of error reports i have been getting for months and no one can figure it out. A few reps hat help with set up for ERA also need to learn a little more about insurance setup. Although I have some disagree but I can guarantee some of the sheets sent to set up are old and some are not clear enough.

Ease of use for entering a charge and payment

Cons

Reports that i think be there aren't and reports available are poor. Need better ways to run reports. Also, It would be great to be able to copy and paste from a ERA.

Terrible, disengaged administration interested only in profit. And their profit. NOT yours!!!!

Pros

There are no pros to the use of this software. I've watched my employees struggle to bill through this carelessly thought out and poorly presented app.

Cons

Where do I start? The software does not catch billing errors reliably. The support is careless and disengaged from the struggles of those trying to make this software an engine of profit. Maybe if you are a big enough account the staff is more competent and more willing to help, but at the one-practice level if you have to use Kareo, just go fishing everyday. You'll make as much money.

Worst business experience I have ever had. Choosing Kareo was the worst business choice I have made.

Pros

If we were actually trained no the software I could see how it would be user friendly.

Cons

Kareo has the worst implementation I have ever experienced. They offer in person training only after you watch way way to many online videos. They linked our account with Practice Fusion before we had even built anything into Kareo to support the claims that would come over. Everything denied, claims were all over the place and it has been a nightmare mess to sort out. 4 months in and we still have not been able to schedule an appropriate training. We are out thousand and thousands of dollars on claims. They move trainings without notice, or cancel them last minute. They only do the in person training once, so we coordinated all the admin staff to attend and last minute the canceled the training. I would leave Kareo in a minute if was not locked in a contract and out 25k in billing.

Reason for choosing Tebra

They made it sound like it would be a lot cheaper than it was. They left out many details in the conversation that you only find once you comb through the contract.

Cons

Customer service. I’ll give them negative stars if I can. Garbage EHR and garbage customer service. Agent, \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] , was yelling on the phone, didn’t care to help and refused to resolve my situation or transfer me to a manager. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] , another agent kept hanging up on me. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] , success coach and sales manager \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] were equally horrible as they would trick you into contract then deceive you into paying $$$$$$ to end contract so they can suck your money against your will.

I have had a couple of issues when setting up my providers and choosing their specific specialty. There are more that one choice to choose from, so it made it difficult. I feel it has been a great billing software for our practice.

Pros

Very user friendly. We use the software for billing only. I like how the statements are sent out automatically on a monthly basis. It would be nice if the price for statements would be less than what were paying now.

Cons

When setting up providers for our practice, it's difficult as there are more than 1 choice to choose from when setting them up.

We choose Kareo as I works hand in hand with our EHR, Practice Fusion

Pros

Our office has used Kareo as our billing software for the past three years. It is comprehensive and meets our billing needs. The support team for Kareo's PM software is phenomenal. I have called frequently over the past three years for customized support and have always gotten highly professional, pleasant and helpful representatives

Cons

Some of the information from our electronic records software does not always come over to Kareo as expected. I also don't understand why some of the doctors information seems to come over and others does not. I don't fully grasp how insurance companies get set up and approved to receive electronic claims.
