I have 2 different companies that use Kareo - if it wasn't for our CSC I would not have advised my 2nd company to use Kareo. The other CSC is not helpful at all.

Pros

Our CSC is a true asset to your company! He was always there to assist with my questions, and made sure that I understood how to properly maneuver the system.

Cons

Kareo needs to improve their training. Most people don't like a cookie cutter approach for training (i.e. videos, trainers that only teach what is on their agenda)

Bait and switch, hard sell, they actually rang a bell in the background when I said yes to their "service"

As above, expensive ZERO ROI! Too much time required for implementation, wanted to shift domain to their control, dismantle existing expensively designed website. What they proposed to replace it with was garbage created by a high school student probably smoking weed

PatientPop has been very flexible with pricing and helping us to afford their plan. Customer service is amazing! They are quick to respond and resolve issues. They're great about making changes to our website and keeping it up to date.

Pros

Patient Pop has increased or visibility and has significantly improved our number of new clients. It's easy to use and track.

Cons

It's another system to manage which can be difficult for staff.

Poor client services and for the price you are better off someplace else.

Pros

The sales rep is a good representative. Their websites are of good quality.

Cons

There follow up is poor. Their SEO was not what was promised. When a "review" of your stats did happen, they used falsified information. I had their portal of my information up in one screen and the stats they showed were not what was on the screen and VERY elevated.

Cons

Sofware has problem almost every week. Creating a frustrating environment and lost capital for the practice. We got some customer service that hangs up the phone call. Scheduling for follow-ups is not available.

Pros

I have been using Kareo for over 4 years. It was easy to set-up the Inventory for each Insurance Carrier. I love the automatic posting capability. The software is user friendly so that help's me as an Owner to train new staff on billing. I also love the "unpaid insurance claim" report that helps my employees to work the Account's Receivable's.

Cons

I really do not have any dislikes about Kareo Software. It fills all my needs for billing.

### "Just Don't Do It."

My biller used Kareo. When her business closed I stayed with Kareo billing and started using the EHR because it was free if you used their billing services. I never liked the actual EHR but it's integration with the billing software was important. I previously used the old version of MISYS which was noncompliant with the new rules under Obamacare. In comparison to MISYS and like anything free, this program is far, far inferior. It was like going from a Mercedes to a bicycle. Some examples: ·Scanned documents are all lumped together in one box unlike MISYS where documents are sorted under consults, studies, labs, hospital, etc and easily found. ·The font on prescriptions is 6-8 and can't be changed. It's so tiny I'm embarrassed whenever I have to give a patient a script. ·I'm in Ohio. Kareo was cited by the Ohio Pharmacy Board for noncompliance. Escribing was shut down all summer. Now at the end of the day I have to print out and maintain a list of every script I write. ·I can't see prescriptions from other doctors. They don't use Silver Scripts. I could go on but the worse thing just happened. I was given a 28 day notice of a 40 % price increase in what they charge me for billing so I'm leaving. I discovered, as did another reviewer in this thread, that my data is hostage. I'll have to pay monthly to JUST LOOK at the EHR data. Or I can printout every patient's chart before they shut me off. They are shaking me down and holding my data as hostage. This is egregious but probably legal on their part and is probably in the contract I signed.

Not great. It was a good starting point to understand SEO and website development, but I am moving on to a more personalized, higher quality platform (albeit more expensive). PP is a good start that is relatively affordable. It has not translated into incresed volume for my pratice 6 months into it.

Pros

Set up was relatively easy. At the beginning, there was significant enthusiasm from development team. Website got done and uploaded in reasonable time.

Cons

Too "template-y", my website looks just like any other. SEO has not been effective, still languishing in the 4th or 5th search page in Google. Customer service is clunky, slow to respond. Too bureaucratic, like the cable company. No designated contact or advisor. Once my website was up and running, that was it in terms of follow up, etc.

I have been working with Kareo for Five years now and it has only gotten better.

Pros

So easy to use. Customer service is wonderful. Billing is very easy using Kareo. Payment collections is very easy. Adding documents into the charts are easy. Kareo has everything my company needs.

Cons

I don't have any complaints. When I had concerns, I reached out to Kareo and they made the appropriate changes. My company has used Kareo for the past 6 years and it has worked for us for all our needs.

I like it! It helps us be more efficient as a billing company, but there is room for improvement.

Pros

I love that it helped streamline my processes as a billing company! It has some great features and I definitely couldn't do what I do without it.

Cons

Support is terrible- we have open tickets from months ago. I wish that we had a designated account manager to help when things pop up. There are some confusing features or things that don't quite work perfectly, and again, if we had additional or responsive support, it would make it easier to tackle those things that pop up.

Reason for choosing Tebra

Tracking claims and ERAS as well as invoicing capabilities and because Kareo does more than JUST submitting claims (I was using a clearinghouse to submit directly before), referred by trusted colleagues.

Expierence getting signed up and giving them my money was easy and seamless. After that.... things did not go well. I am unable to write notes for my practice and after more than several hours on the phone with the technicians the problem was not solved. Then my onboarding coach and I had a meeting set and and he was reasonable with understanding that if my product did not work then going through trying to use the software was pointless. Expressed my concerns for the software not working which he said he will talk to the support team working on my way. Several days later no response from support team about ny ability to fully use the software. Several more days go by and still no word from support staff. Had my second appointment with onboarding coach who asked about if I had been contacted by the support team. Still a no on that topic. Therefore I had to cancel second onboarding meeting. It has been over a week and a half and still no word from the technical team even after I suggested to delete the account and start over. Have not been able to use my EHR in this amount of time. Very frustrating.

Pros

Have not been able to use it for its intended purpose.

Cons

Customer service . Never called back about problems with software not working

Excellent service and marketing tools as well as others described above!

Pros

Website is easily adjustable and updated with a super knowledgeable and efficient supportive staff. The book on line feature and patient pop confirmation system is super helpful and efficient! The updated website reviews and google/ other review systems are always current , synchronized and in check. We are alerted to rare client concrrns Immediately. Client data is shared Periodically to guide our decision making policies for ongoing growth and improvements!

Cons

A few scheduling telemed coordinations with two of our other systems are currently being addressed.

Pros

PatientPop is easy to follow and use. The main portal page looks and feels very easy to use. It's not the high-end technical but I think that was intentional so that everyone can easily use.

Cons

The initial set-up process was very compartmentalized by different team of people assigned to the task. It was very efficient and fast but at the same time, there were some hick-ups with some team not knowing what was done or had problems communicating with each other it seems. But once brought this up, it was handled accordingly by the team lead.

Documentation of last menstrual period. A section to document that appointment date and time and notes of a referral sent. A way for children to have access to the patient portal without having to have their own email address

In the beginning I was a bit overwhelmed with the features of this program, but once you are able to find your way around it is so easy to work with and the support team is great.

Pros

I've used Kareo for the past 8 years and the support staff is wonderful and very helpful, they know their product and always come through with solving the problem in one call.

Cons

The one feature I would love to see is where our company's name can appear on certain reports, I've been requesting this for a while now so am waiting for that.

Pros

It takes Care of most of our needs and is user friendly. We love the fact that Kareo listens to our needs and works on updates. Their customer service is outstanding.

Cons

There some few areas that need to be improved sooner than later. 1 -When you send a referral the demographics should be included and the options to send labs and studies. 2- when you upload results for the Dr you should be able to assigned them to the dr for reviewing and signing off on them. ( we can do labs and studies but not referrals or consuls or other important things. 3. The hospitalization and procedure section needs to be improved. Because when people get admitted to the hospital they generally have studies done and that section does not allow you to add any more than one thing per day. 4. I feel there should be a place for the hippa to be documented in the demographics sections. We currently use the note section in the demographics and document it there.

### "Bad Product, Even Worse Contract"

Very poor, don't use it.

Pros

The initial customer service was reasonable.

Cons

I had good customer service initially with Kareo. However, be careful when you are signing their contract and be certain this is the product your want. I was given a "deal" to sign on for one year. Ultimately, when I delved further into the product, I realized that it would not work for me. I never even used the EMR. Kareo refused to consider any discount, any suspension, or any change at all. I am therefore required to pay for the product which I never used for a full year (actually 14 months). Then I have to remember to call to cancel in one year, as they will not provide a reminder or ask for renewal of the contract at its conclusion. Sure feels like they are hoping for an endless autorenew! Its ultimately a bad product and the contract is intentionally punitive (in order for them to make money off contracts rather than good products and happy customers).

Reviewing your account, we found that a one-year contract was signed in July 2020 which included 60 days for free and did include an early termination fee as noted on the signed contract.
