Pros

Implementation was easy, transferring records works well from one software to Kareo and the billing can be done and reviewed at ease

Cons

There are some reports that I would like tohave but you can call them and Kareo will make you the report you want, just takes some time to get.

Awful, it's clear the employees hate their jobs, do not care about the clients, they don't care if they actually affect your business, they don't care that you're waiting for your deposits to run your business

Pros

Nothing, they are apathetic about their customers needs or business growth

Cons

They refuse to take care of failures in credit card payments and the same problem keeps happening and each time they don't know how to fix it

I used this software for 4 months. I have not used this software since June 2022 but they have been taking money out of my account. I have tried to cancel it multiple times but I I have been informed that I have to continue paying for the software for at least one year. I am basically forced to pay for the services which I have never used for over 7 months. Yes I signed the contract but after trying out for 4 months I realized it was not what I was promised. That was a scam! I don’t want you to be the next victim. I signed up with a different t EHR software and the experience has been great. I will not stop until Kareo does what’s right.

Pros

The set up was quick intially. Signing the documents and contracts was quick and fast. Little did I know that I might have overlooked important details during that rush to sign the contract

Cons

It is not even close to what was presented to me. Customer service experience has been disappointing

Because of the quick presentation over the phone which to my own view was misrepresented

I have remained with Kareo/Tebra because the features I use daily work for me and my practice. The cost is affordable and overall it has been a seamless process. I do enjoy having the ability to review steps around multiple areas of need via the Kareo University at my leisure. Customer service has been amazing in being able to guide me through billing insurance and and answer questions that have had in the past year.

Pros

Setting up new patients has been an ease, as well as navigating the calendar, collecting cash and credit card payments, and texting or receiving messages from patients via the portal.

Cons

Online scheduling features created duplicate patient records which have been cumbersome to fix. I have lost patient notes, either through user error or the system timing out. Billing insurance has been a nightmare to say the least.

### "Provider Beware-THE WORST EHR COMPANY TO WORK WITH"

they are a scam- more so than any other EHR. They are the only EHR that wont let you exit within the 1st 3 months without charging you for a year of services, meanwhile they do not allow providers to try out the documentation section without subscribing.

it is a mirage presented during the demo and sales are ruthless and full of tricks to draw you in - so nothing

We are a small business and we do not like that we have to pay for each provider when we as a small business only bill under one provider . This is to costly for our company .

It is a wonderful product to house medical billing information. You have easy access and may reports and tools to access when managing patient accounts. I love the on-boarding. I felt it was helpful and very comprehensive. I wish there were opportunities to work with this group to learn what is new or old that I could benefit from knowing. There is so much this system can do and I just don't feel like I am taking advantage of all the features because I don't use or remember to use from our initial training sessions.

Pros

The software is very intuitive and I like all the options you have but don't have to pay for unless you use. Being a small business we are always looking for ways to increase productivity and save money.

Cons

Posting of ERA. This has not been improved since we began using 10+ years ago and if it has then I missed the memo. You have to address each individual date of service verses reviewing and have post automatically. I would even be happy to setup default selections to make posting quicker. Also would like a resource to assist with rejection error messages that would provide suggested issues. Current messages can be very cryptic.

I think the numbers of years I have used Kareo shows my satisfaction with the overall software product. I have trained 50 plus people in the 20 years I have used this product. I am still growing and encourage those I meet to transition to using this software. I have demonstrated my confidence in Kareo by including page on my business website promoting Kareo.

Pros

I have been a user of this software since the 90's. I found Kareo to be a very cost effective software which allowed for training new staff, integrating practices and decreased initial startup costs. Kareo continues to update and add new features which are relevant to industry standards and changes.

Cons

I would like to have more capability from some of the screens to multi task. Such as printing as statement from track claim status page. I would like to see Kareo add actual advanced billing personnel to the support staff who handle the help tickets. Currently some help tickets have been answered by sales staff. I believe this would speed up the process.

### "Don't do it"

One thing that they are stellar on is billing you every month.

Pros

I wouldn't say that there is anything that I really love about it.

Cons

I could go on and on but my biggest issue is that literally none of the issues that I have brought up with them have been resolved. For example, I brought up the issue that our notes print out all jumbled. They responded a month later and said to print them off of the factsheet. The factsheet is hundreds of pages long. To go and find the exact page that I need to print out every time is unrealistic. In the email that they sent explaining this, they said to contact them if I have any questions but that the case would be closed. I called them and explained that this is not an adequate resolution. They said that they would work on it. 9 months later and it's still not fixed. This is just one of many, many examples that I could provide. We are in the process of switching. So frustrating!

Pros

Ease of use. There is a lot of helpful educational information, and when you call the reps are very knowledgeable and sincere about helping you with your problem.

Cons

When looking at payments entered daily, I would like to be able to scroll back and forth in the calendar rather than enter the dates. There is a daily report, but I just want to quickly scroll through the dates. This is one feature that would be nice, at least for me to quickly check to be sure all money is posted daily. The reps are very knowledgeable and willing to help you in most cases, except for one issue when I wanted to sign up for ERA's. It was not clear to me that there was a deadline and he closed my case before I faxed the forms. If he could have extended the timing, it would have helped- I also work in a different office, so I am not able to get doctor's signature immediately, and we were in the middle of integrating at the time. Also- your integration with P. Fusion- could be improved. The other systems PFusion integrates with are not so difficult with every character matching, etc., and this has been hard for our office. It is still new, so hopefully it will get easier. another thing I thought of- there are occasions where you have to delete or change a payment, and if you enter this before the insurance EOB comes in, and you find you need to change it, or apply some of this to another date of service, you can't easily delete payment information once it has been applied to a visit without having to delete all the claims data. This is unfortunate. I did speak with a rep who showed me how to copy the messages and re post in notes, but this is cumbersome if there are a lot of transactions. okay, I think that is enough feedback for today. I do love Kareo!

### "No Billing Flow"

Terrible. I was over anxious in signing a new software and the salesmen are good. When it comes time to implementing the software it is fairly easy. However it really is a time consuming software. There are so many unnecessary steps. For someone who runs their own business and is an active biller I don't want to dedicate the time you have to with a software like this just to get out one claim! Here is the real kicker, and this is my fault for not reading the contract through....I signed up for a year! My salesman never mentioned that at ALL!. So for the 5 claims I tried with this terrible software I am on the hook for $3600 to get rid of it!

Pros

Comparatively to other billing software....nothing.

Cons

There is no flow from entering a patient to completing a bill. Even entering a patient's insurance is 3-4 additional steps. When you search a patient's eligibility be ready to read for days. You may or may not get accumulative amounts and you will have to scroll through pages to try and find it. The fact is though it is user friendly in the fact that its pretty black and white for a biller that has to be the worst software I have tried.

That was the issue, I had heard great things about Kareo so I did not really make other considerations. Boy was that a BAD move!! After having Kareo and being so unhappy I started researching other products and am so disappointed in myself for not researching further. Kareo was not built for billing, it was built as an EMR and then they added a billing system to it. They should be more upfront with that. There are other systems built BY billers for billers.

e-prescribing, though cumbersome to use most customer support people nice, though unable to fix most issues

Cons

most everything. countless glitches which they don't seem eager to address, unacceptable by android phones (though accessible by iPhone), e-prescribing is glitch and cumbersome to use, eRx requests are even worse, documentation has almost no word processing features; think of something less than Notepad. Though you can "create templates" they are so unintuitive and cumbersome to make, it's not worth the effort. There is very little flexibility or ability to personalize features for my practice, including billing, scheduling, etc. I can go on with specific issues and complaints, but I think you got the message.

Pros

Being a physical therapist seeing many patients a day, it is vital to use a software that is user friendly. The EMR and billing is very quick to learn, use and simple. I am able to perform charting within 10 minutes for each patient. Makes charting bearable!

Cons

Sometimes Kareo will update the system with changes. Have to re-learn the system, but again doesn't take long.

I have had an amazing experience with Kareo. Of course like any software program you will have hiccups and bumps in the road but after working in the medical billing industry for almost 15 years I can say that Kareo has been the best software program I have used!

Pros

The feature I like most about Kareo is the built in eligibility feature. Not having to login to numerous portals to check eligibility makes my job 10X easier!

Cons

I wish Kareo would not make you get out of the pt insurance info area to check the pts eligibility. This happened with the newest update and it is not very efficient at all. Also the same with adding a new Medicare policy, you have to get out of the insurance area and go back in to check hospice, the drop down box won't work unless you do this. Not efficient at all. I would also like to see Kareo automatically capitalize pt demographics when you are entering them, all other software programs I have used have this feature built into them.

My overall experience with PatientPop has been good. They seem to be responsive to my concerns, and I am overall happy with the product and performance. The metrics are good.

Pros

I like that patient pop is the communication conduit between patient and physician. I feel that it gives us invaluable information and feedback on what we are doing right and what we need to improve.

Cons

Website, design, and photos need help. This is an area that absolutely needs to be improved upon.

for the last year, and particularly the last few months, we have had problems with text messaging not going through to patients, error messages intermittently ALL day sometimes on Monday , sometimes on Tuesdays, sometimes whenever. Wee can be in the middle a a chart, go to save it, or send medications, then all of a sudden we will get an error, so mothing is saved. I am not sure what is happening here, but it is causing patients to become unhappy, as they go to the pharmacy and their medications aren't here, or they don't get our messages regarding visits, labs, etc. If everything worked like it is supposed to, I would have no complaints, but this just happens randomly and is getting more frequent. I am hanging in there, but not sure I can continue to wait for them to get it together. when we are seeing multiple patients a day, and not meeting patient's needs, we could lose patients.

### "Not practical AT ALL... Read review for details"

Very helpful when they want are trying to get your business. Once you're paying, the level and ease of contact and customer service declines. Technical support is accessible but unfortunately they cannot fix the CONS I described above and I had to finally CANCEL.

Pros

Kareo Billing software and desktop application is fairly easy to use. Customer service is accessible. Cost for both Billing and EHR is fair. No contract.

Cons

NO WAY to view scanned or faxed documents in the EHR interface. This was the DEAL BREAKER.How can a physician see patients and chart while not being able to see what has been scanned or faxed into the system. A fax number (aka: kFax) is given to the practice for all faxes to be sent and eventually loaded into the EHR. Only problem is that once you try to view it, it can only be viewed AFTER SAVING each document to your PC! Then you would have to upload it back into Kareo and name it so that it is filed under the correct patient. Unless you have 1-2 secretaries for this process ALONE, don't bother. Completely blocks work flow and makes ZERO sense. ALSO--- Front desk has to open both the desktop application and the internet based EHR to be able to perform all tasks. The calendar is more functional and easy to use in the EHR while the desktop application makes viewing scanned documents easier but will still require tedious renaming of each scan or fax that comes through. And of course the physician cannot see those documents unless they start to download and click page by page to view the patiet's record.

Looked good from reviews , which generated high expectations.

Cons

The onboarding task was tedious and time consuming ultimately what led to my cancellation. Once they sell you the product and heighten expectations, they say nothing of how difficult it may be to get useable data from your old EMR! I and my staff spent hours of time cleaning up and removing stuff from my data set so that what Kareo was eventually willing to try to upload was barely more than name address and phone # of simply 400 clients! The other info that I readied could not be integrated in any way to lessen data input before I could start billing my clients. There was little or nothing I could upload, yet Kareo wanted to charge me upwards of $1000 with not even progress notes in package. It would have required me to provide and pay for probably more 75-90 man hours to transfer data manually. I and my staff did all the work.

### "poor urgency handling customer concern "

Pros

Pros would consist of the ease of learning the fundamentals of working the EHR. It is pretty self explanatory once you fire up the application.

Cons

Our practice is located in Arizona, and the time on our EHR is incorrect since the base of kareo is located in California our system is on California time as opposed to Arizona. We have brought this issue to kareo, nothing was done there was no resolution to this matter and the time is still incorrect. One major issue that we are having is, we use a desk top for the use of kareo and as well as an Apple IPad. We are having an issue accessing "labs and studies" on the iPad and every time we open up this tab our app not only kicks us out but does not allow us to access the labs from the iPad thus causing Dr. Patel to then have to leave patients room come to the front to look at the labs, majorly taking away from Doctor Patient time. This matter has been brought to kareo's attention numerous amounts of times, and still it is not resolved we have been having this issue now for a total of 3-4 months. We call and receive a very typical answer from them stating that "we have our engineers working on it and someone will give you a call" no one ever gives our office a call back. we are very dissatisfied at this point with kareo and cons definitely out weigh the pros with this system.

My experience with PatientPop has been very positive. Implementation was well organized and efficiently managed. Since launching our new web presence with PatientPop we have seen a 40% increase in appointment volume above what we were seeing prior to PatientPop's services. PatientPop has consistently followed-up to make sure all of our account needs are covered. We are very pleased with the service they have provided

Pros

The ease of the implementation process, the integration for scheduling, multifaceted functions in many areas. The ability to send patients appointment reminders and other communications, the constant SEO monitoring and unbelievable results of our new web presence.

Cons

The amount of phone calls generated from the optimization of our web presence! We had to actually stop direct calls from the web and direct them to dedicated phone line

### "Buyer Beware"

We had high hopes and we were sold a bill of goods. Signed the contract in December and we still can’t use their system and it’s May! $10,000 later we have nothing to show for our investment other than poor customer service, empty promises, lost time, and endless excuses (on a good day!). Practice owners beware, all of the bells and whistles their sales people promise is really a Trojan horse!! I can’t fire them enough.

Pros

All of the promises they made sounded amazing. But they never delivered.

Cons

Their customer support s non-existent. I’m ready to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
