Cons

Cannot think of anything. We do have a problem with the pet cleaning charges being charged daily, which is not our policy.

Overall, during the MANY years we have been using the Reservation Nexus system, it has been very good.

Pros

User friendly from the operators stand point. They are always innovating and improving their product. Great and Friendly support.

Cons

Some guests have had problems with the online booking engine. When selecting a room, if unavailable, they assume nothing is available. A mor concise single page/screen showing availability might help.

### "Feature-rich and great customer service, but a lot of bugs"

Getting trained on and setting it up requires a large investment of time. The Customer Service is top-notch, giving 1:1 support to assist you. And it is needed: Resnexus is a feature-rich with a lot of bells and whistles with complex, non-intuitive navigation (there is a menu with a list of 63 pages for Setup). All the options are probably necessary to support various operations, but not needed for me, yet still require review. To make use of many of the functions, you need staff willing to log directly into Resnexus to manage their daily work and communicate with each other. I am a small vacation rental owner with contractors that support multiple accounts (housekeepers for instance) who will not do that, so I end up sending out texts and e-mails instead. In addition, the required process required to handle direct bookings is overkill for me, with a lot of information and extra decisions I have to spend time filling out. I have decided to move to an alternative software. I would have continued using Resnexus since I invested so much time in it, but the number of product bugs continually introduced in new releases makes it difficult to justify the ongoing investment in its usage.

Pros

(1) is a one-stop, feature-rich software service allowing every nuance of your operations to be mirrored and more importantly maintained. (2) The user interface for bookings and availability is heavily customizable and integrates to my existing web site. (3) It supports a simple "online store" so I can sell logo products like t-shirts and guest services. (4) It supports the sale of gift certificates and manages remaining balance when redeemed. (5) great rate and management. (6) Great printable reports. (7) It allows me to manage a file of previous guests with their information (interests, birthdays, etc). (8) The customer service is their best quality, with assignment of a representative in addition to regular customer service. (9) One aspect of Resnexus where it is way above its competitors is adherence to data and system security best practices, as well as adhering to the latest US website design requirements, such as handicap usability for instance.

Cons

(1) It takes a big investment of time to learn how to set up, navigate and use and it is not intuitive with sparse online help. (2) Housekeeping operations require your staff to log into the application to use it properly, making it more usable for companies with dedicated staff rather than the small vacation rental owner like myself that uses contractors with multiple accounts. (3) The application is not intuitive and work flow processes are too complex for the simple processes required for my business...so complex I am concerned of modifying direct bookings incorrectly there are so many options. (4) There is strong marketing and guest loyalty functionality, but it requires obtaining guest emails...since a lot of my bookings are via Airbnb who does not give out guest emails I cannot use many of the marketing and promo functions available. (5) The photo library is in multiple places and for channel mgr integration does not allow switching the order of photos showing up on Airbnb...you have to delete all of them and re-upload them to change the order. (6) Lastly, I've experienced a lot of bugs in production. This includes errors in the Airbnb channel mgr integration that created actual bookings with incorrect 24-hour cancelation policies. Other property data such as touchless check-in disappeared and had to be reentered. They accidentally released the vrbo beta into production and I filled out the integration info only to have it disappear when they turned it off.

Reason for choosing ResNexus

For their price point, has an amazing array of features. As I was completely new to short term rental software, I did not look at requirements correctly and to use some of the functions require your staff uses Resnexus for their daily work and to communicate. The work flow processes are of necessity fairly complex to support diverse business processes, but overkill for my simple needs. And finally, I did not have insight to the number of bugs in the software trial period. For these reasons, I am moving to a different software vendor.

Overall, it's been challenging to get the tool to do \*exactly\* what we want, and there are a lot of frustrating "obvious" limitations, but it does so much so very well and we've invested so much time into getting things to function that we're "happily stuck". We have explored other property management systems but a move simply isn't worth it, especially because of the people at .

Pros

Attitude goes a long way, and our support team earns our business every day. Tony, Jeremy, Kat, Tim, and everyone else really does their best to make things work. They are extremely professional and unflagging in staying positive, even when things aren't working right.

Cons

There are a handful of things that either don't work right or get launched without rigorous testing (in my opinion). I appreciate that I'm both a squeaky wheel and probably a more advanced user than others, but disagree with building something "well enough" for most people and with they'd improve certain features. To the credit of our support team, they do take this into consideration and have worked on stuff over the years.

I love that you get a live person for support, no AI chat bot making you go in circles and finally you give up because no one will help you. Please don't take away LIVE support. Your team is the best I have ever worked with.

Pros

I love the OTA integration that keeps my reservations from double booking. My past system had me manually adding from other platforms with the risk of double booking and angry customers.

Cons

Some what complex but once you learn all the features it is extremely powerful. The support staff is always there to help even if you ask the same question a few times until you learn the system.

My QB Pro consultant was concerned my taxes would not align with my invoice line items. So for now I am manually inputting the data into QB.

Both Josh and Laura have been awesome support throughout our journey with . They were very patient when training us during our transition to ResNexus, and proactively contact us with major new releases that they think will can benefit from. During weekends, we're able to call after hours support, which we used only a handful of times. A shout to Travis from their web support team also. He handles our website updates as required within a very timely fashion.

Pros

We love both the customer self serve options for booking their stay (within the booking parameters that we specify), and the email automation for pre-arrival and after stay follow-up reviews. The RN system not only saves us countless hours of manual work, but also pays for itself via Direct Connect capability for online travel agents like Airbnb and VRBO, which help us fill in spaces during the shoulder season.

Cons

has become the primary vendor for all of my customer and marketing data, with the exception of liability waivers, which we ask each customer to sign prior to check-in - as recommended by our insurance company. We pay a 3rd party for this capability. It would be nice to see ResNexus add this capability, so that all customer data is in one place, and easily retrievable.

Very good. I have no desire to look elsewhere. I live in Mexico, and thankfully this is finally available in Spanish so that my workers can use the back end. I was one of the reasons I left for a year, however the other product was so hard to use, and prone to errors with poor support that I went back to happily returned and was happy to see that they added support for multiple languages.

Pros

Good customer support, and with lots of features that you need, more that you don't, but someone must need them! Easy to use and make sense of. Tried others that didn't make sense at all and were prone to errors. This is where makes a big difference.

Cons

There are so many features that it can be overwhelming. This is so minor, but I have had a couple of issues with 3rd party booking engine synchronization (like Booking.com), but because they have good customer support, they were taken care of immediately.

Pros

We've been using for over 10 years, and it's been a great program to help our business grow and prosper. The Resnexus team is amazing, and the program continues to develop and improve every year. I work with several hotels and PMSs by far it's the best program. I wish some hotel franchises would look to Rexnexus for their future program.

Nothing - everything has been great. I wouldn't change a thing. Only wish I had already used their help to develop our new web page. I still have work to do.

They were unable to get credit card processor to work so I was unable to open our business via our website. When error was found, customer support ghosted us by going to a Bed and Breakfast conference and not replying to multiple requests for help.

Very positive. Customer service being a huge component, as discussed below. There are additional functionalities we would like have implemeneted in an expeditious manner, but I do have the confidence in my Professional to advocate for our needs and also help me find workarounds and explain different processes and settings as needed. We plan on continuing with ResNexus, are excited about the new integrations and functionalities/improvements. This will go hand in hand with addressing our existing list of operational functionalities that we would like to see implemented sooner.

Pros

AMAZING customer service! This is courtest of \[sensitive content hidden\], who has made our experience so much smoother, efficient, and pleasurable. He is very attentive and on top of all of our concerns - no matter the scope - and has advocated to make improvements in the system as we have noticed a need for them. There is any ease of use I appreciate and there are instructional guides, which prove helpful, although some are out of date or focus on the grid view too much (rather than calendar view). I also appreciate the Academy every year, where I can get one-on-one time to work with my Red Carpet Professional, as well as learn about the new functionalities and how to better utilize the existing ones to improve our business operation).

Cons

There are limitations to the reports we would like to use and gain more in-depth, granial information from in an organized fashion. This would be very convenient for us and our marketer, who is trying to find ways for to guide our marketing plans through detailed analytics. There is also still some confusion as to how to utilize the settings function, especially the ones related to room units/classes and rates. Better instruction pages and videos would be really helpful. Not just what each button means, but also why, when, and how they are to be utilized. Each new functionality feels like it needs to be tested more for inefficiencies, usefulness, and hiccups. Yet it seems to take a long time in beta for the tech improvements we are requesting to be completed (even crucial ones to our operation).

We've used for a little over a year at this point and couldn't be happier. We came from a larger PMS provider that was based internationally and let me tell you, I'm SO glad we made the switch. Running a business like this and needing some serious help here and there, it means a world of difference to have wonderful partners at Resnexus that I can reach out to at any given time and get the help that I need. No long support queues or waiting for someone across the globe to respond to my email. I get the help that I need, when I need it and that means everything to me and my business.

Pros

Easy to use, lots of features, and a support team like non other.

Cons

Total pricing can get a little convoluted, once you've got your normal package, texting, keyless entry, marketing, etc, and they all get billed separately. But it's not that big of a deal.

From the beginning of our relationship with , we've found them to be sincerely interested in helping us attract guests and manage the reservation and communication effectively. We build websites for other accommodations in the area, and we've helped probably 10+ of them to sign up with ResNexus too -- that's how much we believe that they're a great company. The reps are always helpul, and they are constantly updating their system with upgrades.

Pros

We've been using for more than 25 years. They are a fantastic company with excellent software and amazing customer support. The fact that they care enough to send a rep here to this relatively small area (the Outer Banks of NC), in this case \[sensitive content hidden\], to make sure we were using the software to the optimal level, was so helpful. He spent a lot of time with us and showed us some key components of the system that we weren't taking advantage of.

I had create my website and manage my booking engine for my small family run campground. Everything works together. Anytime that I run across a problem (usually user error) I receive the assistance I need in a timely manner.

Pros

The booking engine is easy to use. Integrates with everything (my website and point of sale). Great support staff.

Cons

My website needs better SEO (search engine optimization). Learning curve on some of the language. The booking engine is geared for hotel more than campground and was not customizable to the specific information that I required.

I was anticipating buying a larger business than than I already had. Mine had five rooms and later added on a carriage house to rent. We were looking at possibly buying 21 rooms on a much larger property in a much larger to us scale. I found out what reservation system the current owner was already using and so I decided to implement it at my smaller property so I could get used to it. My training with \[sensitive content hidden\] was absolutely amazing and her patience and kindness and everyone since her has all been just beautiful. I was really glad when we did get the property seven years ago that I was already trained and ready for the reservation system. All I have seen with it is improvements all along the way have shown encouraging growth. I have actually made strong suggestions that have been heard and have been implemented to at least my system to cause it to be more user friendly and efficient for me. I just recently changed payment processing system companies to RezNexus and I'm a "happy camper". Customer Care is the best. Agents are extreme;y helpful as well as polite.

Cons

Office Hours don't really match the industry served. We are 24/7 with being lodging owners, yet they are closed on weekends. even though there's an available emergency agent on call leaves one feeling a bit unsupported. Maybe rephrasing it to say 24/7 support or and not emergency number....? With all of the increase they've gained in the 7 years I've been a customer, to actually have 24/7 support would be appreciated. Anyway, if it's "on call" for , but says 24/7 for us, that could leave a more positive supportive feeling than to say "emergency" number, we will return your call. Just a thought.

Fantastic overall. This is my third booking site I've used, and by far the best. After two disappointing previous reservation systems with competitors, I'm very happy with and plan to use them for the long term!

Pros

Customer service is very responsive, you get to speak to people who are familiar with your property and who have an ongoing relationship with you. I like how they integrate dogs into the reservation booking process. I love how they also link the booking site into your website. Overall, I really am very happy with !

Cons

As they are an American based company, not all of their systems are available or configured to the international market - such as POS and displaying dates month/day/year instead of day/month/year. But hopefully they optimize for international properties as they expand more beyond the States.

At RAINBOW RESORT we really appreciate the support we get. Cons

has so many features and capabilities that it is sometimes a bit daunting to fully understand and explore all the various features. Each meeting between RAINBOW RESORT and \[sensitive content hidden\] introduces our team to many new features.

### "Best System for Hospitality"

We have had so much success with . The program is so easy to set up, use and help is a phone call away. We also have paired Remote Locks and Texting, which means we can text guests when room is ready, provide room/door code, and make their check-in painless.

Pros

is very easy to set up and use. We have been using ResNexus for 3 years and it has been a breeze. Training is easy with the Youtube videos, and they are just a phone call away when we have questions. The monthly updates are always welcomed and appreciated.

Cons

The only concern I have is the Room/Suite status. We just need 3-4 basic: Ready, On Clean, Dirty, Out of Order. Not even sure what "On-Queue or Skipper" even mean.

### "ResNexus Works for RV Park"

We have a small RV Park (32 sites), and works great for our needs. The customer support has also been very good, but we hardly use this now, as Resnexus works so well.

Pros

Ease of use, and the ability to see everything going on using the Grid. (I like the original Grid, but not the new Beta version). The Front Desk is GREAT. Please do not remove this! The overall software is very intuitive.

Cons

The inability to change the weekly and monthly rates at one time, like you can do with the daily rates. For those changing RV sites (
